Days Inn

We booked this room because we were passing through with our dog and they accepted big dogs. We saw the mixed reviews but decided to give them a chance. I do not ask for much when just booking a room for one night. I do not need new rooms or fancy amenities but cleanliness is expected. We couldn't stay more than 20 minutes. It was unsafe. There was clear drug activity in the parking lot and the outside doors to the hotel did not lock. The inside of the room had mold on the wall under the wall paper border, toilet paper remnants on the bathroom floor from someone wiping, and what appeared to be blood on the wall in the bathroom. The straw that broke the camels back was the stains on the sheets. Let the photos speak for themselves.

We stayed here because we were in town for a conference. My room was clean-ish? The hotel is older and does not look very clean. The tub didn't look like it had been cleaned in a very long time but may have just been really worn(?) Another person in our group got into her room and when she pulled back the comforter on her bed, the sheets were messed up and the bed obviously had not been changed since the last person stayed there (GROSS!!!!). She immediately checked out and went elsewhere. Due to the conference I feared limited availability so I stayed put. I did, however check my bedding and smell the sheets to see if they seemed fresh and they did. I'm not sure if the cleanliness is a room to room issue or what? There was no extra toilet paper, which I have never seen in a hotel. Our last morning we ended up using Kleenex because we were out of toilet paper and didn't want to walk all the way to the lobby for one bathroom trip. The shower was eh. Definitely not anything wonderful but I was able to get clean and had hot water so it was adequate enough. I will say the bed was comfortable to sleep in. I gave it two stars instead of one because the bed was comfortable and I did not see any bugs. If there had been bugs, I would have slept in my car. If you're looking for a hotel I would look elsewhere. There are several in the area.
