Aloha!
My boyfriend and I stayed here on a last minute trip and Lazaros took good care of us. Great hospitality and amazing service!

The so called manager, Lazarus is such a rude unprofessional person. He definitely doesn't know how to run a business or hoe to treat or talk to customers. Lazarus doesn't deserve the nice employees that work there. Be sure to get your room rates in writing, the rate will definitely change. Worst , unprofessional person I have dealt with. Lazarus, you are going to loose alot of business, which you don't deserve.

This was an amazing experience. The hotel staff working at the front desk were so kind and worked so hard for us to have the best stay. It was truly a lovely experience. We had enough towels, everything was clean and comfortable, and something that was deeply appreciated was the free water bottles. It was so hot there that having access to water was awesome. Thank you so much to the staff working here for making our trip so wonderful.

Absolutely disgusting.
Under no circumstances should you stay here.
This place should be condemned.
My room smells like a mix of vomit and perfume.
There are an insane amount of stains all over the carpet. It's so gross that there's no way in hell that I'm ever walking bare foot in my room.
I went to make coffee this morning, only to find that the basket was full from the last guest who never took the grounds out. So much for coffee!
And I just got back and blowers are screaming right outside my room!
It just keeps getting better and better the longer I stay here! Wheeeee!
Stay anywhere else ... anywhere.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Allen P.Los Angeles, CA214941Apr 1, 2022
I stayed for two nights and recommend this place. it is so close to the highway, gas station, taco bell, starbucks, dairy queen, and 20% discount at Denny's for guests. The room and bed were ok. I do wish they had Volume Limit on their TVs as people in the other rooms had them very loud, also some areas of the parking lot were not that bright. Staff were friendly and professional.

I don't mean any slight to the town of Camp Verde, and in fact I really quite enjoyed the entirety of the Verde Valley, but my great hunch is that many people end up staying here as a sort of in-between when traveling to Sedona/Phoenix/Flagstaff/etc.
That was the case with me. We were looking at a holiday getaway but with the unpredictability of it all, we certainly didn't want to book too far in advance. Apparently we booked a bit later than everyone else, as we ended up being priced out of Sedona proper. In retrospect (and after some exploration) we discovered that Cottonwood, AZ is also a good option and a bit higher on the cute scale, but with all of that said, I didn't mind my stay here one bit.
Location-wise, you're right off the freeway and just a stone's throw from Montezuma's Castle, Montezuma Well, Tuzigoot, Cottonwood, and Jerome. We hit them all (phew!) on our day in the valley and had a delightful time discovering this part of the state.
As for the hotel, it's right off the freeway so you get plenty of quick access to those things. It shares a parking lot with a Denny's and a Starbucks, so your basic necessities are met (though a quick drive into town to Verde Cafe will reward you with many many more local town memories).
This property is fine. Everything worked, everything was sufficient. As others have mentioned, it's very pared down for COVID, but they were enforcing all the right measures so I felt good about that part of things. And they're dog-friendly (for a fee) and with no size restrictions. That's honestly the biggest determining factor that led me here. There's not a lot of grass around, however, so your pup will need to be comfortable with the rocky area out back or you'll need to do some exploring.
For the convenience and the price (I think the base price was like $70 or so for a weeknight, plus pet fee and taxes) I really wasn't expecting much, and they were just fine to meet that expectation.
One thing to note with pets: They have you sign an agreement that your pet is not to be left in your room unattended. Doing so results in a $150 fine. They're very insistent on that. One can only assume there have been incidents...Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Mark L.Chandler, AZ06Feb 27, 2022
Let me start by saying that the staff were friendly, hospitable, patient, understanding and helpful and none of them should be blamed for my experience at the Days Inn in Camp Verde, AZ.
As for my experience, this hotel is just barely a step above a motel in the middle of nowhere. Some of the highlights were floors that looked like they haven't been cleaned in a decade, an incredibly small room, a full-sized bed that was labeled as a "king-sized bed", a short shower-head (though I'm not that tall so it was okay but if I were over 6-ft I'd be pissed), a shower-head with a broken dial so I couldn't adjust the pressure (though the pressure and water temp were good) and a small stain on the sheets (which means we didn't have clean sheets or their cleaning agent isn't good/strong enough).
Oh yeah, and don't even think about using their computers. As of this writing it's still running Windows 7 and Internet Explorer, which doesn't support most of the functions that today's internet provides. Example: I tried accessing a Google Drive folder but the browser is so outdated I couldn't access that page. It's also slower than molasses on a drowsy sloth's back.
There's no breakfast service, rather just a series of brown bags with a mini version of everything. Tiny water bottle, tiny muffin and one of the smallest apples I've ever seen. The flavored waters on tap were pretty good and there was never a lack of mini water bottles in the mini-fridge or on the tables next to the front desk, so there's some good news if you were wondering if this was all negative.
Thankfully there are several places to eat within walking distance (Starbucks, McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King,Taco Bell) that it really doesn't matter but I wouldn't recommend the Denny's that's just on the other side of the parking lot. While they offer a 20% discount for being a hotel guest (just show them your room key) both the food and service were below-average (or maybe everyone was just having an off day). Shame on me for getting the Philly steak omelette that included 6 big chunks of uncut, overcooked "prime rib".
The sad thing is that there's not a lot of options in the Camp Verde area. Other than the Cliff Castle Casino that averages about $200 a night year-round, there's almost nothing else to choose from. Other than being a stone's throw away from the Out of Africa Wildlife Park (the main reason I choose the hotel), being less than 10 minutes to Cliff Castle Casino (which is SUPER small!! I've been to bigger Dave & Buster's) and only about 20 minutes away from lovely Sedona, there's not many good things I can say about this hotel or the area at large. There's a rather bustling consumer area close by with a Walmart, Black Bear Diner and, ahem, a dispensary, but you'll have to contend with a total of 7 roundabouts that force you to slow down from 50 MPH to about 20 (yes 7, I counted).
The Days Inn was certainly not the worst hotel I've ever been in but I can say with confidence that I'll never stay there again.
Moral of the story is if you absolutely have to stay in Camp Verde then I suppose you could do worse. However, if you're willing to drive a little you'd be better off heading north about 30 minutes into either Cottonwood or Sedona or driving an hour south into The Valley (aka, Phoenix and its surrounding cities) where you'll have much better, cleaner and reasonably and/or better priced options.
If not for the staff I would've rated this a one-star.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Amy M.San Francisco, CA786Nov 25, 2021
My room was paid for and I provided my credit card and ID. However upon arrival it was a big hassle to go through the "credit card authorization process" which apparently protects the hotel but asks customers to email a photo of the front and back of their credit card WHAT? Sounds like they're more worried about protecting themselves than their customers. That being said, the man at the front desk was extremely kind and patient with me and probably deserves a raise but I'll never stay at a days inn or Wyndham again but maybe that was my mistake in the first place.

Very cluttered when you arrive. Felt like walking into a tiny old convenience store. Our rooms were filthy. There was a plate of breakfast food on the floor in the makeshift closet. Lampshade was dirty carpet was severely stained and sticky. The rooms where also stinky. Disappointing experience

When I booked this hotel, I didn't anticipate too much. We just need a place for overnight and leave early morning next day. I paid over $100 per night, I would anticipate a clean bed and a shower. Bed was fine. The shower was dirty. Tube walls had soap residue, tube non slip pad was dirty. I couldn't put my feet in. I used soap and wash towel cleaned the tube since they told me they were fully booked, I didn't ask to change room.
The shower drain did not drain well. I had to turned off faucet 4 times to allow water to drain or I would be in the pool of the shower water.
This is room 226. If you are going to stay there. Watch out.
Staff was nice.
Breakfast is grab and go, one bag contains 1 muffin, 1 small bottle of water and 1 apple. I did not take it.
One more time to remind myself not to book any Days Inn anymore.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
