Lovely old school pub at the top of the Ouseburn Valley pub crawl. Turn left for an open fire and selection of about 5 craft real ales, a friendly welcome and tasty beer.
The service is great too, one of our pints was from the bottom of the barrel so the barman gave it us for the price of a half pint. Legend!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Anja S.Munich, Germany1132Apr 24, 2013First to Review
The best pub of Newcastle. I've been there quite often during my masters programme and always felt very welcome. I haven't tried the food but they have a wide variety of drinks. Somethings always going on, definitely worth following them on Facebook.

Really nice friendly pub with live traditional folk jam session. I was there with a friend on a Friday night, listening to 5 or 6 players sitting in the corner, and everyone in the pub as friendly as could be. Great atmosphere.

Just a fantastic little pub, with tons of atmosphere and really friendly staff.
Great music and comedy upstairs too. (Catch the improvised comedy, first Saturday in the month, if you can.)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (Ollyis…)Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom23Nov 28, 2010
