I had been traveling a lot throughout the country, and Marriotts have been a hit or miss for me, whether it's a "Marriott Marquis" or a "Courtyard." More often than not, I have a pretty good experience with the exception of a few incidents. At the Carmel Courtyard, however, I had a surprisingly good time! I stayed here for almost a week on a work trip. Check-in was speedy, and my room was super comfortable.
Each morning, I grabbed a tasty parfait from the cafe on the first floor. Everything was simple and open. Lots of seating that create a sense of community. One of my colleagues also joined me in the hotel pool and jacuzzi, which was indoors and very enjoyable. Fairly humid because of the weather outside, but still relaxing. On one of the last nights, my colleagues and I ordered glasses of wine and chilled on the lounge furniture by the front desk as we laughed and exchanged stories.
I have great memories here because the Courtyard made the stay smooth and relaxing. I'll probably stay here on future work trips because our company has a relationship with the hotel, and I'm happy to report that I feel relief and happiness instead of dread at the thought. Thank you Marriott for another great stay!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Racheal S.Washington, DC104226181Apr 25, 2018
This Courtyard by Marriott went above and beyond when I stayed in April 2018.
A group of teammates and myself ventured down to Carmel, Indiana for a triathlon. We opted to stay at this Marriott, as it was close to the race site. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and extremely accommodating to our needs (despite having a full hotel that weekend for multiple sporting events).
Since we were staying on a weekend, the cafe was not supposed to open until 7am. This was worrisome to my team, as we were planning on leaving at 6am on a Sunday morning to make it to our race. We kindly asked the front desk if there was any way that a pot of coffee could be made prior to the cafe opening, so we could purchase coffee before heading out. The staff agreed! When we came down Sunday morning to go to the race, a fresh pot of Starbuck's coffee was waiting for us, and the woman working the front desk happily made sure that our group got our coffee.
Thank you, Courtyard by Marriott, for going out of your way to meet our caffeine needs and fueling us for our race!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Oct 8, 2018
I had a wonderful experience at this Courtyard Marriott. My room came with one queen size bed, a living room area, a balcony, and an area with a refrigerator. On the property, there is also an indoor pool and jacuzzi so make sure to bring your swimming suits! The GEICO Indianapolis Regional Office is located right next door, so if you're in town for business with GEICO, it only takes three minutes to walk there. Overall had a wonderful time here and I'll make sure to return here next time I'm in town.

Stayed here for the Carmel Marathon and this hotel went above and beyond to make sure their guests were welcome. I ended up staying 2 nights, Friday and Saturday. Which allowed me to rest up after the rest before traveling back. The rooms were clean and spacious and the hotel offered some great amenities. One being a downstairs cafe/bar which i took advantage of both nights. The staff was fantastic on both nights and even hung out with our marathon group the night after the race a little beyond their closing time. Restaurants and other places to go are within a mile or 2, so an Uber or a car would be necessary. Luckily they offered a free shuttle service to and from the race start which was perfect. Honestly one of the better hotels I have stayed out for a marathon. Thank you!

Hotel was overbooked and didn't have the type of room we reserved (king with sofa bed). We were four people expected to sleep on one king bed? They offered to move us to another hotel.
No star for the management. One star for the gentleman from housekeeping who cobbled together a workable solution. Management would have just ignored our reservation and assumed that the inconvenience of being moved was no big deal (we were there for a family event and other family members were at the same hotel).
The hotel was full, but I had "checked in online" to make sure my room was ready. What's the point of having a reservation if it's not kept?
We've never had this kind of treatment at any other Marriott hotel. My next review is going to be to the corporate office.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Valerie N.Kent City, MI671Jul 14, 2018
I have had horrible experience with Marriott chains recently. This hotel the water from the shower was brown. We were not suppose to pay for our breakfast but we ended up getting charged. We had asked for the manager to call us and apparently the staff didn't let him know so I called again and was able to talk to him. He apologized and was very nice and fixed things. This is our 4th incident with Marriott hotels in different states!!!

The rooms are not that great. It's comfy and good but not as good as other Marriotts I have stayed in. Front desk is nice and respectful. I didn't use their fitness center or pool.

I have been at this hotel many times. I like it because it's close to my meeting location. Nice people, and easy to get to. right off the freeway. Just mins away from great food.

Our baseball team stayed here July 20th and 21st. I realize that there were many things going on this weekend but a couple of things stood out to make me write this review. Staff very polite and good location . On the other hand , Very poor " team breakfast" , very small rooms and very dated and worn interior hallways and rooms . Also incorrectly had at least 3 of our reservations but luckily still had rooms..WAY OVERPRICED.

Great stay and will be my first choice when I'm back in Indianapolis to see Greensky Bluegrass at the Vogue Theater.
What a great staff at this Courtyard! I had a late check-in on Friday night / Saturday early morning (Jan 17), I was pleased to be warmly greeted by the overnight front desk staff, Marie. She was friendly and professional. She gave detailed directions to my room and accommodated my late check out request. 5 star overnight staff!
Despite the area just getting 4 inches of wet snow, the lobby floors were clearly marked with caution signs and clean of any snow that was tracked in by guests.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Pull out couch was a bonus.
I was only disappointed the Market Cafe in the lobby was not open for coffee in morning.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
