Pretty clean looking place despite the fact that it's in a gas station. Only a couple problems got mashed potatoes and chicken fried steak not chicken fried chicken. Mashed potatoes were horrible that day tasted like someone cooked them with some attic water that was left in a bucket we told the waitress and she immediately apologized and got a different side and took some off the bill and gave us a to go cups for road drinks to go. Was an ok experience but not sure if I'd go back again just because I feel the food is compromised somehow with those mashed potatoes tasting the way they did unfortunately.

This is a TA truck stop chain restaurant. They have the standard TA menu, loaded with gravy, beef, potatoes, and other trucker favorites.
Good for: Truckers and laborers who have a big appetite and plenty of time. If you're hungry enough, you can ask for seconds for many items on the menu.
Poor for: Anyone in a hurry, picky eaters, heart patients.
Surprises: Enter through the convenience store, not through the door under the restaurant sign. This looks like the kind of place where you'd pay at a register, but here you pay the server. Drink prices are not listed anywhere.
On this visit we ordered a pot roast dinner and french toast with eggs and bacon. After waiting well over 20 minutes and hearing nothing about the progress of our meals, we were just about ready to get up and leave. But then the server reappeared and literally threw the food onto the table--and ran away without saying a word. Unfortunately, she forgot to deliver a beverage, and she didn't show up again until we were finished eating. Not one word of apology--though she did remove the beverage from the bill.
I've eaten here once before. On that visit, the food was slow, but the server was exceedingly, obsequiously friendly.
Breakfast items and sandwiches are mostly priced around $8; most dinners are priced around $11-13. Fountain beverages are $2.19 (I imagine refills would be free, if only someone came by to supply the refill).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Anthony P.North Richland Hills, TX02Jan 5, 2021
Being a truck driver, it's hard to have a home cooked meal all the time or for any time at all! Lol. But they did me just right!!!! Thanks from Texas!! Would've shared a pic of my chicken friend chicken, toast and mashed potatoes but the app wanted access to my birth rights basically!

I have been here 3 different times and each time they fail to impress me at all. First time ordered the Big Rig Ribeye came out very undercooked they remade it and this time overcooked it... second time I was here ordered the chicken fried chicken came out and had such a large hunk of fat on it that there was barely meat for eating. Then tonight ordered biscuits and gravy.... the biscuits were like rocks and the eggs were undercooked... next time I'm at the TA for the night I'm going to perkins

While driving on the 80 cross country I stopped here for a quick bite to eat. Place was not super busy at all, service was pretty good. I ordered the cross roads burger and fries as I had many miles to go and wanted to be full. It is a good size burger with an egg and bacon on it. I have to say it was a great burger and hit the spot just right. I would recommend this spot for the burger, cannot say anything about the rest of the menu. The sweet tea could have been colder was my only complaint so it gets 4 stars.
