Coralville Community Aquatic Center

I can't even tell you how many days I spent at the Coralville Community Aquatic Center growing up. With three slides, two diving boards, zero depth entry, a splash pad and more-- it has something for everyone! And at $5 a person (over the age of two), you seem to get a lot of bang for your buck. The outdoor pool is open from June till nearly the end of August.

There are three reasons this isn't a five star--
1. I think it is crazy if you commit to a punch pass, you don't get a slightly discounted rate. 10 punches for $50.
2. Re-entry is not allowed. Which, as a parent, I kind of wish it was? My three year old can only last a few hours before needing a break, especially on a super sunny day.
3. The hours are very abbreviated, IMO. Weekdays (11:00 am-8:00 pm) and weekends (12:00 pm-6:00 pm) They don't have Lessons our there all summer long and mornings on hot July days are best spent at the pool!

On steamy Iowan summer days flock to this outdoor pool! It's clean, the staff is young but friendly and parking is a nonissue, unlike the City Park across town.

Don't believe google when it shows that they're opened. I went with my children, yesterday, only to discover that they were, indeed, not opened. CALL before using your gas or spending money on an Uber just to have to turn around and go elsewhere. I will, however, say that it looks like it could be a blast whenever they actually are open.

Both of my daughters LOVE this pool and I do too! Our summers include multiple visits. There are three slides, diving boards, and two splash areas. We love hanging here and there is plenty of room on the patio and in the lawn. The concession stand has a great variety and we usually get an icee each visit.
