Nostalgic place to revamp some memories of your favorite childhood tv show. Owned by the character Cooter Davenport (actor Ben Jone's). Super friendly employees greeted you at the door. I brought my dog with me, as I was in Nashville for a week getaway and it was a dog friendly museum. They made her feel very welcomed with plenty of love shown. A huge selection of displays and souvenirs to buy. Great t-shirts for the entire family (all sizes). Full cars inside building to pose by for pictures. We bought some belt buckles for the kids and they were so happy. Awesome bang for the buck on stickers and there is even a machine to flatten your pennies to save as a keepsake. It's a short drive from the Opry Mills mall and something to see indoors on a rainy day. Totally worth the drive to see this cool collection!

Very cool place, brings back lots of memories..you can see daisy's original white jeep here with some of the stunt cars. All kinds of memorabilia, FREE of charge.
Highly recommended
The only thing that cost anything is taking pictures inside of the vehicles which $10 per vehicle.
Very cool place to visit.
Tom Wopat aka Luke Duke will be here March 26-26th 2023...Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Apr 26, 2022
Cooter's Place is located in the same area as The Inn at Opryland, but across the street in another plaza with plenty of free parking. This place is also right next door to Willie Nelson and Friends General Store and Museum.
Cooter's Place is a museum (that is free) that is all things Dukes of Hazzard TV show. This museum and also retail store is owned by Ben Jones and his wife. Ben Jones played Cooter, the mechanic in the show, who was also good friends with the Duke boys since he was always fixing up the famous General Lee car that they would always get damage in nearly each episode because of the boys shenanigan.
This museum has many pictures and posters from the show, numerous of props, clothing/ costumes and additional memorability from this TV show. Also you will find Cooter's Tow Truck (which is outside), Daisy's Jeep, Rosco's Patrol Car with Flash (Rosco's companion, a Basset Hound) and a General Lee car (1969 Dodge Charger). During the filming of the show, more than 300 + General Lee cars were used and most of them destroyed with all the stunts that General Lee went through.
My husband and I came by here on a Tuesday around 12 pm. I was surprised that this museum was bigger than I expected it to be. In one part of the store are many die cast cards available for purchase. Not just cars from Dukes of Hazzard but from other TV shows as well and just other tory cars too. My husband ended up purchasing the A Team van (cost $10.99 prior to tax).
This was a nice museum to visit, even though I didn't really watch the show. But I thought it was neat to see props and learn about some of the behind the scene things about the actors, props and the fanhood of this show.
A nice visit if you are in this part of Nashville.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Aug 31, 2022
Cooter's place is free and located near the Grand Ole Opry. It was cool for a quick stop to look at the pictures, cars, etc from the old TV show Dukes of Hazzards. I did not watch the show when I was younger but had seen a few reruns. My husband was more impressed here as he watched the show when he was younger.

I have always loved The Dukes of Hazard. I used to visit this store when they still had their location in Gatlinburg, but it has since closed down. I was pleased to find that there was one on Nashville as well. Lots of cool memorabilia in their museum inside the shop, and of course all of the Dukes merchandise you could want. Several of the movie cars inside including The General Lee, Daisy's Jeep, and Roscoe's patrol car. Worth checking out if you were a fan of the tv show!

We were in Nashville on our vacation we had some time to kill so we stopped in. My first thought was it was more of a Gift Shop then A museum. It was cool seeing the vintage merch. But it just seemed like cheap quailty expensive gifts. Also being a big fan of the show it kinda seems like something with the police car and daisy's jeep was off. I think I can skip this next time.

This is a Dukes of Hazard themed gift shop and museum. It has a large shared parking lot in the front and back and is located right across from the Gaylord and next to Willie Nelson and Friends General Store and Museum. The museum is free to visit and the place is packed with tons of memorabilia and fun facts from the show. We spent about 40 minutes here and really enjoyed our time. The staff here is very friendly and welcoming. The gift shops has t-shirts, cups, flags, cars, stuffed animals, key chains, magnets, local preserves and moonshine, masks, and everything in between. They also have Daisy's Jeep, Cooter's Tow Truck, Roscoe's Patrol car, and of course the General Lee. And for the reasonable price of $10, you can take a photo (with your phone of course) in all four. I sure took advantage of that opportunity.
They have some pictures from the set, autographs of the actors, some of the original Daisy duke shorts, and Duke's of Hazard kid's room display and parts of a wrecked original General Lee. On certain days they have meet and greets with some of the actors from the show.
During this COVID pandemic visitors must wear a mask and social distance while visiting. This place is well worth a visit, especially for fans of the show. I really lost track of time there because I was enjoying myself so much.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Sep 13, 2020
I never watched the Dukes of Hazzard television show but I am traveling with some major fans so Cooter's Place made the list of places to visit.
Calling it a museum seemed like a stretch but it was definitely stuffed with every type of memorabilia that I could think of. Everybody in the museum/store had good energy. It was obvious that for those who watched the series this is a happy place.
On display they had Cooter's Tow Truck, Roscoe's Patrol car, Daisy's Jeep and General Lee. There is also some of the clothing that the actors wore and several props.Helpful 28Thanks 0Love this 28Oh no 0
