College Arco

Whenever I go to this Arco I always say to myself when watching the college kids shuffle in and out, "how many beer runs has this place endured?" The unofficial answer is undoubtedly: tons.

It's a gas station, that's for sure. Seen one, seen them all, right? I pretty much agree, but what sets a standard business aside from the others is the staff. In this case I'm going to assume that the sweet woman who I know works on the weekend must be the owner or manager. If she's not, she's employee of the year because of her cordial attitude, friendly demeanor, and authentic pleasantries. When you're used to most gas station employees barely acknowledging you and throwing your change across the counter experiences like the ones I've had with the employee here are much more meaningful - she loves her job!

Side note: when getting gas, place an order from Chickpea. They share the parking lot and have some of the best damn falaffel that you've ever had, trust me.

This gas station refused to turn on the air and water for vehicles ! Not only is this illegal but it's just immoral. What a horrible way to run a local business. I was coming here 3 days a week for different things and will now never be returning. I will also be looking into filing about legal inquiries not providing air and water

I would do no stars if possible, only because of that lady who always is there. She makes you do the most whenever you're in need of air. You have to be a customer or you're not getting air which is ridiculous because you don't always need to buy something to fix your car issues.. it's just a convenient thing to offer. I might've been a customer another time but this lady jus sucks at her job and only cares to her life easier rather than helping out people in her community. I didn't care to get her name but she is short, possibly Mexican, very unprofessional.

This is a really hard place to work full-time because of all the influx of college kids and I gotta say the woman who have seen there and other people there in the past are very well mannered and can handle their stuff I got to give them props thank you so much.

Best gas station in SD! Prices are amazing, the owner and employees make you feel like your at home!! Has wide variety of choices for snacks and drinks that's are great for the near by collage students! MUST COME HERE!

Don't try getting gas here after 11pm! The sign says "open" but it's not. I put in my card & pin and it said to go see the attendant - well the door was locked! Even though the blinking sign says "open!" Well, they've lost my business...

I end up here a lot because I work nearby and always seem to be running on fumes by the time I reach this intersection. The people that work here are moderately friendly, but they charge you an additional .45 cents for using credit OR debit cards...and the pumps are so ghetto you can't even hit the little kick-stand type thing to hold the gas pump in, you have to stand there and hold it yourself.

Price-wise, they are mostly on par with other stations in the area (says my Cheap Gas app.)

The owner is a true gem, her version of customer service is trying to make customers sorry they ever stopped in at her store. If you mention an employee was rude to you she defends then by telling you it's just business and you should go somewhere else.

Ouch, hopefully this changes as its a great location and I'm sure she can change.

These greedy S.O.B.s. They charge .35 on BOTH credit and debit cards. Yes, debit cards. In fact ONLY debits cards are allowed outside to get gas and then inside it's another .35 cent fee to buy any snacks or drinks. NEVER GO HERE.

I'm not sure about that other guy's claim but I can tell you this. Prices are below market value, if anything, they should be inflated because of the area it is in. Two thumbs up.
