Meh...This place didn't thrill me enough to want to come back. My cat Gabbana was sick with a fever, constipated and very lethargic so I brought her in for an exam. My other cat had this problem a year earlier and with just a trial of antibiotics and some A/D food she was fine within 2days. So this time they told me she needed blood tests, x-rays, overnight stay for observation and a list of various drugs she needed. I was in SHOCK when I was looking over the list of procedures with a cost of $869!!! Were they insane? Do I look like that much of a sucker?! I felt insulted and pissed off. I literally took a pen and crossed off everything except the antibiotics and a pain killer. The assistant looked at me like I was crazy and she said well the doctor HIGHLY recommends you do all of these but I'll check with her to see if it possible to just do the 2. So if course the vet has to come in and just made me feel like the worst person ever for not wanting to take care of my cat to the fullest extent. It was a hell of a guilt trip that's for sure they must have been hard up for money. Anyways what do ya know lil Gabbana was back to herself and poopin regularly again 2days later. Jeeez who knew I would have ended up bein the vet in the situation.
To sum it up...This place is SCAM, don't let them talk you into unnecessary procedures use your judgment. I felt rushed and unimportant and my questions were unwanted. Not going back!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nina S.Portland, OR448Jul 26, 2013
Absolutely love this vet practice. Charlotte is amazing and everyone works to know our pets by name. They take their time in addressing questions and have a quick appointment turnaround.

I won't be taking my cats back here. After the exam I felt unsatisified and scammed. I wasn't asked if it was ok to run tests on my kittens. They're healthy and are only kept indoors. I come out to pay & it was more than I wanted to or was expecting to spend. They NEED to let people know about what they're adding on and make sure it's ok with the owners!! My kittens got a fecal exam we didn't ask for. I even told them we are ONLY in for an exam today. They try to act like it's casual & part of the exam but it's just an add on to run up the bill.

We were disappointed to hear about your experience. Often times when clients bring in new puppies or kittens, there can be a large amount of information given about your new pets care. During this discussion we strive to clearly communicate the reason for any recommendations we are making to our clients before we give them. We encourage questions, and you are always able to decline services any time during your visit. We happily provide an estimate of services whenever asked, because we do not want to surprise anyone. We are sincerely sorry for the communication problem regarding this, and would love to talk with you about it offline. Please give us a chance to resolve this. Please call and ask for me personally @503-657-3171. Sincerely, Leslie Carner, Office Manager
