CJ’s Italian Ice & Custard

Never been to this location, but others in Henderson and this was is so clean inside. When you walk in you're greeted with a friendly skeleton and a cute neon Las Vegas love sign. A cute photo op moment. They have sooo many selections here it's hard to choose what you want. (Which is a good problem to have!) they offer Italian ice, custard, shakes, dipped cones, concretes, chamango, the list goes on!

There is something for everyone here. The staff was very nice, patient and helpful and let me take my time to decide what to get. I opted for a cookie dough concrete and got Oreo ice cream sandwiches for the fam at home. The Oreo sandwiches blew my mind! They were huge and even had Oreo crumbs around the brim. I will def be frequenting here whenever I have my late night cravings

FIRST & LAST TIME HERE!
I'll explain why,
My son and I arrived around 8:45pm and waited in line. As I got to the front of the line the employee skipped right over me and started taking the next person in line. (He was the only person taking orders so how does he not know he hasn't taken my order yet?) As I stood there staring at him I said "excuse you, I was next!" His response was "oh, well let me take her order first!"
My response "well I was first, and skipped so my order should be taken first"
The customer behind me says "well I didn't know you haven't ordered!"
My response "how would you not know when I'm standing right in front of you and I was skipped!"
The employee ends up taking my order and ruins it.
I ordered:
1 pineapple dole whip float
and 1 Captain America on a m&m cone with gummy worms
I paid for my items at 9:07pm and left
As I got home I gave the items to my husband and son who both were unhappy.
They seem to go to this place all the time together.
My husband stated that there was little to no pineapple in his cup and it was all just ice cream
And my son barely got a little bit of ice cream and little to no worms.
I ended up calling the store and speaking with "Payton" who claimed to be the manager and he said "well, people get skipped in line all the time, it just happens"
And "the 2 people we have working tonight have only been here 2 weeks, that's the longest we've ever had people stay here"
I mentioned that maybe they should train their employees to ask "hi, have you been helped yet?" And as a company you should train your employees to make the items the same way every time because there's no consistency And his response was "each employee just makes the items however they want"
It's the excuses ... and no accountability.
I stated I wanted my money back and he said it was up to the owner. So I left my phone number and I'm waiting for the "owner" to call me with whatever solution they come up with.
I definitely won't be returning, I hope they get it together at some point because bragging they won best ice cream shop in 2012 is probably why they haven't won since.

CJ's Italian Ice & Custard is frozen treat type of place. They offer frozen custard, Italian style ice, concretes, sundaes, charango, bobalicious, spicy whips, seasonal, dipped cones, and many other things. If you are familiar with Rita's Italian Ice and Custard.....It's kinda like that but with steroids. This is a small shop with a few tables inside. Outside is a community patio at the North Las Vegas location.

I tried a small tangerine with vanilla custard gelati....It tasted exactly like from Rita's.....(We both enjoy the custards more than the Italian Ice because we are originally from the Philly area where they had real Italian Ice all over) Still it's a tasty treat. My husband tried a small rootbeer gelati with chocolate custard. The custard is very good and the rootbeer ice is ok.

I'll probably be coming here now and then because this is one of the only ice dessert places around.

Rainy days call for .. ice cream? We were in the mood for ice cream & immediately CJ's came to mind. I used to frequent CJ's weekly w/ my friend group & am obsessed w/ their ice cream selection & overall aesthetic. Pink, black & a life size skeleton? Yes plsss. Today I ordered the spicy sandia which consists of Dole whip, chamoy & tajin topped w/ watermelon sour patches, a tamarindo candy straw & a frozen strawberry. What more can you ask for? Everyone else got more indulgent chocolatey Oreo-y varieties & we all left happy. Ice cream craving satisfied!

The service was excellent. My dole whip mix is so good. Will be back again and will recommend. Only 7 mins from my house.

This place is an elevated Freddy's Custard and Dairy Queen. The custard and cone that I've ordered were delectable.

Oreo Peanut Butter: creamy, flavorful, and rich. 10/10 rating.

Samoa Waffle Cone: crispy, of course, and the chocolate & nuts added depth. 9/10.

Service was speedy and friendly.

After running a few errands, I was looking at a few dessert options on Yelp and stumbled across CJ's Italian Ice & Custard. I've never gone to a CJ's before and decided to stop by this location near Aliante Discovery Park.

We stopped by on a Thursday late afternoon around 4:00 P.M. There is spacious amount of parking available. I haven't had custard in years and CJ's Custard was delicious!

There were a lot of options to choose from the menu. There was a wide range of gelati, Italian Ice, Frozen Custard, Dole Whip, and Spicy Whip. There are a wide range of flavors too! You could choose from apple pie, dipped cone, pumpkin pie, and much more!

I decided to choose the custard, large, swirl of vanilla and chocolate. My partner had the Thai Tea with vanilla custard. The vanilla and chocolate custard was so scrumptious! I couldn't eat it all though. I should have selected the regular instead. My partner enjoyed the Thai Tea, but would have picked Ube! We didn't realize CJ's Italian Ice & Custard had that flavor.

It wasn't too expensive either, less than $15.00 for both. The service was outstanding at CJ's Italian Ice & Custard! We were greeted promptly and the team member assisting us reviewed the menu since it was my first time at a CJ's Italian Ice & Custard. I'd highly recommend this location if you're looking for something sweet or cold on a warm summer day in Vegas.

I'm so upset! We go here all the time! And it's normally $6.75 for a regular. I just went here two days ago. That's how much they charge me. I just got charged six dollars for a small! I asked for a regular. I said it normally doesn't look like this. She said it's the amount of swirls! so for an extra $.75 I was getting so much more before. Now they're trying to gyp you. Do not ever come here! I just drove 15 minutes to get screwed! I have been here so many times before. Never had I got charged, six dollars for a regular size. That was half the size of when I normally get charged $6.75 for a regular size! Never ever ever go here!

I scoped about this CJ's for the decoration and of course to fulfill my ice cream craving.

This is the first time, I couldn't finish my ice cream! However, for any bad reasons simply because it was a dense creation!

I love Oreos and the birthday Oreo flavor was so good. Surprisingly not overly sweet for my taste buds (but I LOVE sweets). I have been waiting to go back! Especially with options like s'mores and apple pie, but the list goes on.

The lady working was helpful with telling me about CJ's and their options because I hadn't been there before. She was kind and went through it concisely.

Prices are good, nothing too expensive for ice cream. Would recommend going to satisfy your sweet tooth - there are SO many good options to choose from!

Finally figured out there's one by our house! So much stuff in there we wanted to try. All the ones we tried were so good! Service was awesome! Ambiance was cool! Even had a spot inside decorated for Halloween for a photo op! There's tables set up outside which was nice but we waited until we got home to eat our yummies! We'll def be back!
