I'm so sad this place closed down. I always talk to the owner and they were very kind. It's a shame to see small businesses affected hard by the pandemic. They mentioned that they lost a lot of businesses when the lunch work Community were working from home. My favorites were the crispy spicy chicken, mapo tofu, and the green beans. My family also like ordering their hot pot with all of the interesting cuts of meats. They also had a very extensive selection of cold side dishes. They also offered a good variety of to go options as well. It's sad to see this place go, but I hope to see another place open again in the future. Maybe they'll come back in a different form.

This restaurant is a little hole in the wall piece of deliciousness in Irvine! If you like Szechuan food and spicy Mala flavors, this is a great restaurant choice for you. I cannot recommend this enough but their peppercorn spareribs is crispy juicy and to die for! It has a nice hint of spice with salty delicious flavor that you won't be able to get enough of. The spicy chicken cubes are crispy and not overly spicy but a really yummy substitute for popcorn chicken as a snack or even a full entree with rice. While you are here, give their cold dishes a try as well from their pickled cucumber to the bamboo shoot! The dishes are affordable and great for family style meals so make sure to give this place a try. There is a good amount of seating and I definitely recommend sitting in and trying the meal because you can't beat the fresh crispiness of the delicious deep fried dishes!

So sad this place closed. I have yet to find a Szechuan style restaurant that can make a comparable beef dry pot.

Pick up easy is usually easy, but if you order during dinner rush be ready to wait about 50-70min.
We usually always get the fried chicken cubes! 10/10 crispy spicy nuggets.
Salty and pepper fish 10/10 beer battered like fry and super soft fishHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Heidi P.Brea, CA255107334May 22, 2023
My boyfriend is obsessed with Szechuan food and has been looking for places in the Irvine area. He found this gem through a mutual friend and we have been coming here ever since! The Szechuan dish tastes very authentic and high-quality. The fish and beef were very tender and they give you a lot of quantity! The tingly tongue feeling is definitely a vibe. We tried the side dishes and square ribs for the first time and it was pretty salty. The seasoning was interesting but with rice, it was bearable. I probably won't be getting the square ribs again but the side dishes were pretty delicious! We love this place and the Szechuan dish here is SO GOOD.
The place itself is very clean and has a lot of seating inside. It's always the same man working and he is really nice. They definitely have great service here!
Overall, I would highly recommend this place to get the Szechuan dish but it is definitely a unique flavor. Be aware of the tingly tongue feeling and make sure to try the side dishes as well. There has never really been a wait for us, no matter what time we go. We will definitely be coming here again and again in the future!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nandar A.Santa Ana, CA4112Jul 27, 2023

The food was decent, but a bit underwhelming. The chef's special lamb was good, but pretty heavy on the oil. The garlic fish was mediocre, and the portion was a bit small. The string beans still had the stringy end parts. The chongqing special noodles were very spicy and numbed my mouth, which is authentic. The place didn't seem super busy, but the service was a bit slow. It's just an average Chinese restaurant.
