I went here for Mother's Day brunch, and the food was so good! We ordered a bunch of dishes to share, including the warm banana bread, fingerling potatoes, caramelized cauliflower, fresh ricotta, crispy churros, sunny side egg with chorizo and potato hash, pan roasted Norwegian salmon, San Francisco garlic noodles, and the spiced lamb burger. Every dish was delicious, although the highlights of the meal were the cauliflower, lamb burger, garlic noodles, and the fingerling potatoes. I would get every one of those dishes again if I came back (except maybe the egg with chorizo and potato hash, which was tasty, but probably our least favorite).
Our server was prompt and checked up on us often, and the food came out fast and in quick succession. I loved the interior of the restaurant as well. The prices were also extremely fair and the portion sizes were surprisingly good. The drink I got also seemed like a fair price, as it was quite strong.
I would 100% come back here again, and it is one of the best places I have eaten at recently!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 30, 20241 check-in
I have walked past this restaurant what feels like a thousand times and never ventured inside so when this place was suggested to me as a first date I was excited to try something new. As a yelper of course I had checked out the menu and reviews before arriving.
First dates are always interesting but this place gave us something to bond and talk about. We had reservations for 7:45PM. We were both inside and seated around 7:40PM. We were given the table by the door after being asked if it was ok with us. The young man at the host stand was very friendly.
My date explained this was his "go-to" restaurant in the city as he lived a little ways away and brought his family here a few times before and really enjoyed it. Our waitress, Elizabeth R., greeted us and asked had we dined with them before. I shared I had not while my date shared he had. She explained that the food served in like a "small plates" style and the plates could be shared, but you may want 2-3 per person.
She came back after a few minutes and took our drink order (I had water) and my date ordered their version of an old fashion and the Crispy Fingerling Potatoes for us to share. After we ordered the potatoes she took my menu which was odd, but there was still one on the table we could share.
We enjoy the conversation and the potatoes and eventually I order the Penne and he orders the Spice Roasted Chicken. Both were AMAZING. Very excited to eat my leftovers. As we were wrapping up our meal we tried to get Elizabeth's attention several times. We weren't in a rush but we also recognized we were within an hour of closing. Getting her attention seemed to be a task even though she walked past us multiple times to get to the table in the corner. We asked for boxes and she brings them but we wanted to get a container for the sauce on the chicken (really good btw). I think it's a chili-lime dipping sauce. We couldn't get her attention again so we just asked the young man at the host stand he grabbed it for us, no issue. At this point, my date and I now are just looking at each other like "is it us?" We were unsure. He takes his wallet and card out and sits it on the edge of the table and she walks by us a few more times. Now this is all we are talking about. She even goes and gets the other table their bill before ever even saying something as simple as "are you all doing ok over here?" We weren't even offered desserts.
Around this same time we hear the manager talking to the ladies who just wrapped up their meal. Being this is a first date, I would have just said this was a fluke of an experience and trusted my dates word that he had never had this type of service. However, he decided to get Darren's (I hope I spelled that right) attention. The manager, Darren, was super nice and attentive. He told us it was Elizabeth's first night working there. He also shared that she mentioned the food all coming out at odd times as well. He offered to lower our bill to ensure we tipped, but honestly we were both able and willing to pay the bill. Elizabeth also proceeded to stand behind Darren while we were talking to him and whispering to the Host. It was a very weird experience all around.
In all, I'm not sure what my date tipped or if he tipped at all. He would be justified in my book. Knowing it was her first day gives me pause, but also it was probably the oddest series of events I've experienced in years. After we left the restaurant, the manager followed us out and proceeded to offer us a desert to-go. We politely declined. I probably won't be back even though the food was good. However, my date shared he would revisit.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 13, 2024
This place had amazing service and a great ambiance inside. We had a super attentive waiter who double checked with the kitchen to see what on the menu was gluten free.
The little gem salad was delicious, I loved the pear with the Gorgonzola. We also tried the cauliflower, penne pasta, and falafel, which were all lovely.
The cucumber/gin special cocktail and the hazelnut chocolate cake were also very tasty.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 13, 20242 check-ins
Great food. I loved everything I've tried so far. I would say the thing that makes this place great is attention to detail on the small things that elevate a dish. The fresh cabbage slaw and jalapenos emulsion on the lemon grass chicken dish. The toasted pine nuts on the cauliflower. The perfect skin on the salmon. And on and on.

Went to Chloe for restaurant week and everything was absolutely delicious. I went with 2 other friends so we each ordered different items so we could share and taste different dishes. The cocktails I had were La Lavande (Lavender vodka, lemon and sparkling wine) and Hello is the final word (habanero infused gin, luxardo maraschino, green chartreuse and lime juice.

We came here because of the good reviews and it didn't disappoint. I give it 4.5 stars. I liked the appetizers a lot but the whole fish entree was a little underwhelming, it's a whole fried fish which you wouldn't know from reading the menu. The fish was somewhat dry but the sauce was good. Steak was on the sweater side. Service was nice. Cozy and intimate ambiance, which is perfect for a cute date night.

All food was so good! Service was nice and efficient! When I say the food was all good it was but my favorites were garlic noodles, fingerling potatoes and the salad. The salad was very light and refreshing! Couldn't go wrong with any selection here!

What an amazing meal! The flavors pack a punch and the menu was diverse. We started with the tuna tartar that was my favorite. Our group of three shared the cauliflower, salmon, duck and penne. We liked the salmon so much we ordered a second one. The drinks were well crafted....aviators and old fashioneds. Our server was friendly and pleasant. Overall a perfect meal and atmosphere for a rainy Friday evening.

One of my favorite low key Michelin restaurants in DC. It so nice for breakfast on weekends and dinner! I have their menu down to a key and you might even spot me here! I love the grilled bread with ricotta, fried cauliflower, gnocchi, hanger steak, and Vietnamese roasted chicken. Oh man just writing this makes me want to go over and eat a yummie meal! For brunch the soft scrambled eggs and pancakes are so delicious! Definitely a place to go now!

Honestly you can't go wrong with anything but certainly you have to try the Vietnamese roast chicken and gnocchi. Let me know what you think!
