Staff seems friendly and accommodating, but the food was over cooked and almost inefficient. Extremely dirty building, stacked high with hoarding nonsense.

Good food with kind service. A great stop on our road trip. Will visit again next time we're in town!

My family and I use to go here before they did the renovation in the back and front dinning area where you go to pay when you leave. When it use to look like a dump inside . There was newspapers in Mandarin Chinese stacked high up at one of the booths at the front dinning area. There was holes nd tearing on the booth seats. The food was decent but I would always get a sore throat eating at this place and the woman that would serve us was cold to some people in our party and not to others. I don't how the kitchen looked back then, but maybe they got their act together a few years we stop going there.

Ordered takeout at the restaurant, which was super clean. Got 2 combination platters- boneless spare ribs & beef & broccoli
Both were terrific- we will be back for more!

****READ BEFORE EATING ****

My friend and I stopped here after a day skiing at hunter mountain. It was one of the only places open and we chose to walk in and order some food. We each ordered a chicken combo which came with rice and an egg roll.

We waited over twenty minutes for our food despite being the only people in the restaurant. The price for the food was pretty fair but after getting it we quickly understood why.

Personally I ate the sesame chicken combo. The chicken was over cooked and just didn't taste good at all. The rice tasted awful even when mixed with the chicken's sauce. The only decent part of the meal was the egg roll and fortune cookie.

Both of us had a strange burning sensation on our tongues and our stomachs didn't feel great.

Would not go back or recommend to anyone

Ordered some last minute takeout and they definitely came thru! The chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce was phenomenal. The egg rolls we ordered were golden crispy, my first time going and will be returning. Also. If you're reading this Follow me on Instagram @Drakesinfusions

The food's decent, only Asian food in town you can get delivered without going through an app, and the prices are reasonable for the area. Better food and prices than Asian Fusion by a mile, worse food and prices than Great Wall but they deliver.

I went here back in college with an ex-girlfriend. The food seemed decent then.
I just moved into the area and decided to try good old China house. It looked exactly the same from the outside and inside hardly changed at all. I ordered steamed dumplings and chicken shrimp and beef combination dish with brown rice. The waitress was friendly. Dumplings came out and they were kind of white in color. They definitely should've been cooked longer so the outside of the dumpling would've been more golden brown. They tasted OK nothing great though. My food came out and it was so so. The Beef was a little chewy. There were a few shrimp but not that many. The chicken was OK but kind of bland. The sauce was OK but a little odd tasting. I took about half of it home. Overall it was disappointing to greasy even though I said not too much oil.

I think that these are the same people that have had the restaurant for at least 30 years and probably own the building as well
It would be nice for them to decide to sell it and have someone who could make really good Chinese food re open it and remodel
it. As it's in a prime location in downtown new Paultz

This place is a gem, order take out from here and you won't regret it. Get the Orange chicken so good! A mom and pop shop that had been going at it for years in New Paltz.

Pros: Great location, friendly staff and owner

Cons: Poor food execution, oily. I can do better in my kitchen.
