Been eating Chimiking since 2003 when they were in Southchase. Love my beef chimi. Still get it regularly either from the food truck or the brick and mortar location. Service is always good. Food is always awesome.

I'm Dominican, so I approached this with the expectation this would remind me of the beef sandwich I grew up with along with the thick-cut tostones I so loved. But sadly, I was disappointed. The tostones werent naturally cut but rather the kind that are pre-frozen and when fried become as crunchy as the chips version. The chimi beef sandwich itself was very dry too. Mind you, I must avoid tomatoes & ketchup due to an allergy but they also didnt have any alternative condiments like the garlic sauce that Dominicans typically use with tostones.

Overall, I was very disappointed and dont plan on returning. Not only was it below average in quality but it there wasnt anything else on the menu that motivated me to want to go back. The employees were nice, wore gloves, but no masks. Besides the customer service, the only I thing I can say I enjoyed was the water bottle I bought for $1.

I did UberEats for some good food. I must say I did enjoy the steak with onions, beans and salad. I thought the onions would be more pickled and I would get some sort of hot sauce on the side. It wasn't bad though. There was a yellow sauce or something I assume for the steak but it just seemed like a lot of oil. The mofongo was a bit tougher than what I'm use to, but the pieces of pork were nice. I wanted yellow rice, but they only had white rice I guess and it was just ok, wasn't soft.

I love it here! Okay, so the customer service here is truly amazing. They remember you after the second time going, and this speaks volumes to me.

Anywho, since this is a bit of a drive from my house, I call ahead to order and by the time I get there it's ready. No waiting, no mixed up orders, always greeted properly...yeah this truck is great.

I usually get a yaroa of maduros and chicken, and I have had it with fries instead of the maduros...both are great! The chimi de res is definitely a great option as well! The fritura is soooo good.

The customer service is so great that I remember ordering a tamarind juice and the guy told me he recommends the chinola juice instead because the tamarind didnt taste so good by then. I appreciated his honest opinion. If you ask them for their best sellers, they can give good recommendations too, based off of what you are in the mood to eat.

As I stated earlier, it's a little drive but I prefer going here than anywhere else to find fritura, chimi or yaroa if it's what I am craving.

I saw some other reviews referencing delivery but there is something everyone should know, anything from a truck wont taste the same as it would if it were made FRESH. Fried food in general is this way.

I definitely recommend this location for any late night cravings. Drive there though, do not order for delivery. The quality wont be the same, that is a guarantee.

Chimi King is offering, in my arrogant opinion, the best beef Chimichurri Dominican burger in Orlando. I've had many a Chimi in the Greater Orlando area and by far, this one packs the most punch.

For $5.00, this sandwich is a force to be reckoned with. Upon receipt, you can't help but notice the weight of this comfort burger despite it's seemingly small size. Seasoned beef, coarsely shredded fresh cabbage cooked in tangy/sweet sauce, two slices of tomato in between Pan de Agua (water bread). What makes this sandwich particularly addicting for me is the sauce. Recipes may vary between those who make it. Although from my research, I gather it's made of Worcester Sauce, Ketchup, Mayo and a small amount of orange juice. The sauce alone pulls all the ingredients together for a savory, tangy, sweet and hearty flavor experience.

I've had my fair share of Chimis from other food trucks and my biggest complaint is that they don't have enough beef in comparison to the bread. Chimi King doesn't have this problem. Every inch of bread is matched with their wonderfully seasoned (oregano/sazon?) beef patty. When you bite into it, make sure you have plenty of napkins on the ready. The delicious sauce will be alllll over the place.

The only thing that would make Chimi King absolutely perfect, is if they had a Pernil (pulled pork shoulder) option. They do have a Pollo (chicken) version, but the Pernil is a special, special treat. However, I can't knock them on the lack of pork since the traditional Dominican Chimichurri is made with ground beef. If you want to try a Pernil Chimi, you'll have to drive a couple miles to a food truck called "Dominican Chimi".

My friend has long been telling me about this burger from her days in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan, to her days growing up in the Dominican Republic. She confesses this has been the closest thing to the real deal in Orlando and is comparable to all her years chomping on Chimis. From what she describes as the perfect Chimi, Chimi King is right on point.

Another perk to making the trek out to this food truck? The customer service is fantastic. The customer base being mostly Latin in heritage, it's understandable if you may feel like an outcast. But the fine folks running the truck make you feel right at home and are amazingly efficient. Need some sustenance to hold you down but not sure where to go? Bored of the same foods? Make it out to Chimi King, you might be surprised.

Yummy Dominican chimichurris (like a Dominican steakburger...burger, cabbage, sauce, tomatoes). Also have empanadas, yaroa (fries topped with mozzarella cheese, chicken, danes, and maybe something else), chinola (passionfruit juice), and maybe a few other things. Chimis are $5 and so worth it. Yaroa is $6, and I think the chinola is $2.

This place is ONLY OPEN Thurs-Sun, and only at night. I know they're open until 4am Thurs-Sat. I think they open at 7:30 every night. I'll copy down their hours next time I go. But there's always a line of Dominicans coming from the clubs, who know where the good food is at.

Oh, also, this is a food truck, and they are in the parking lot of the place at this address. Look for the big sign that says "PONDS." Try it!

Phone # is 407 535 6652. Call for hours if you want to make sure they're open. Oh and cash only, as is to be expected at a food truck.

Very disappointed in how the service has changed. Don't bother even calling ahead to place your order, it won't even be ready when you get there. They'll start making it once you're there. And most of the time now they choose to not even pick up the phone anyways.

Don't come here unless you want to wait an hour on food when it's NOT even busy.
