Tried this place out and boy was I excited, one I never had Haitian food before and my friend was saying he knew of a spot in Norwalk ! So we had rice and beans Vegetable Stew and one other item . It was all good, but nothing impressive to my taste buds . Maybe I have to try something else next time .. It's definitely worth the price the plate I had fir take out was loaded

Wonderful place to eat Haitian food. I ordered griot And I got a huge portion. My friend also was there. There are places to sit but also food can be ordered for take out. There is a large selection of the Caribbean inspired drinks like Inca cola. The ladies who run this have extremely fresh food and great personalities. I was very happy to stop by this spot during my travels in Connecticut.

Ok listen - I wouldn't recommend coming here on a date - or even to sit down and eat inside - because aesthetically it's not the prettiest spot! But the employees were super nice and the food was BOMB! So good! I got fried snapper with rice with beans and was SO SO sad when my food was finished. I'm Haitian, so I know good Haitian food. This did not disappoint.

My son and I travel around tasting new foods as a hobby. I guess we are Foodies. We have never had Haitian food and decided to give it a try when a friend recommended Chez Coby to us. It's a very small family owned restaurant. The woman at the counter was friendly and very patient with us because we did not know what to order. We finally settled on the fried goat, fried pork, Red Snapper, beef patty, & chicken patty. The entrees were served with white rice or beans and rice, we ordered both, and they gave us a massive amount. We like to order several dishes when eating new food so that we get a good representation of the food. We did takeout and everything was package well. There was an older woman cooking and as soon as I saw her I knew the food would be delicious. My son and I loved all of the food. The goat was extremely tender. My favorite was the Red Snapper, my son's was the fried pork. We will definitely visit again to try other dishes.

Go. Here.
This is a Connecticut gem. The food is absolutely stellar, and although this is my first time trying Haitian food, it's arguably the best Caribbean food I've ever had. They were out of lambi (conch) when I went, but I tried the tassot (fried goat) with plantains instead. The goat was rich and flavorful, and the portions were enormous. Try the Haitian banana soda with your meal.
Trendy gastropub this is not, but if you're looking for that sort of ambience you're probably not looking for food on Yelp anyway. If you're a food purist or looking for an authentic cultural experience, you will not be disappointed.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jillian O.Chicago, IL287202137Mar 19, 2016
I've grown up eating Haitian food and this is truthfully the best I've ever had.
Came to Norwalk on a weekend vacation and was really surprised to find a Haitian place nearby... So of course I had to try it. My party and I absolutely feasted here, ordering bouillon, tassot, legume and poisson. Everything was served with salad, rice, sauce and plantains. And everything was absolutely delicious. They have more variety of Haitian drinks than I've ever seen anywhere else. And our meal was reasonably priced. I recommend this place for takeout and delivery.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Anne J.Silver Spring, MD163172121Feb 6, 2018
Bruh this is a Haitian restaurant... if you don't know what that means then ask your Haitian friend and if you ain't got one then YOU SHIT OUT OF LUCK!! the food is good I like their gryot and their rice is good it's not like my mom does it but my mom also doesn't own the restaurant so.... the food is good and the people are friendly so that's all I can ask for. I haven't tried eating there I do think the place could use a little polish. They do often run out of things so I guess you should get your order in earlier rather than later. Finally the portions are good and sometimes (like rarely) they have sweet plantains which is DOPE!!

Employees at the restaurant either neglected to read the proper order online when an Uber Eats order was put in or decided to send out whatever food they had left for the night. Order some legume and rice, patties and some juice (I didn't have the option to pick what flavor drink I wanted) when my order came I did not get my drink and the patties and the legume had 3 piece of chicken 2 of them were LEGIT just bones. Rice wasn't done well was pretty hard my order was about $28 dollars and I regretted every damn penny of that $28

This is an authentic Haitian restaurant. It isn't very large - only 4-5 large tables, but the service and food are delicious and inexpensive.

Honestly, I'm not sure what happen to this place. Whoever the woman is that answers the phone is very rude. She yelled NO ENGLISH and hung up on me one day! I recently order their vegetable stew(key word.. vegetable) and received something with meat in it; it was gross and tasted spoiled. I threw the whole thing away and called Grubhub asking for a full refund. I will never order from these folks again.
