C & R Tire

The staff helped tremendously with tire selection- work was done on-time as promised and the tires are fantastic.

I had my car serviced here for oil changes and tires before with no issues. Now I see that they run a scamming business and have no shame in lying to you as a customer.
I started hearing a grinding from the rear brakes on my car and suspected worn brake pads. Somehow an 09 Honda with less than 120k miles needed new rear pads, rotors and calipers. Scammed for nearly $1k

I called them to discuss the likelihood of an 09 honda needing completely new rear brakes and the kid at the desk said "it's your fault", he also admitted that the calipers were NOT faulty and they were merely replaced "to avoid wear", HMMM sounds like a brake scam to me. Well done guys at C & R !! I hope you feel proud!!

Jose the service write is very nice guy, friendly and addressed my concerns as a professional. And I tipped the tire techs $20. So like to think Im an OK customer. The woman who answers the phones and sits at managers desk, oh boy, she needs to go back to customer service school quick. Background: Had my snow tires mounted and unfortunately had vibration, so needed to go back a second time to have them re-balanced. (i accept its possibly my tires, so I dont blame the shop). I specifically reminded them (again, because they always leave the old glue tape behind), please use solvent to remove the old tape and use black weights to match my wheels. I heard Jose remind the guys in the shop. Unfortunately they just couldn't get it right (pictures). But this is minor stuff (although for a tire shop, they should be better). The reason I wrote this review, is when I called the manager woman barely said hello or how can I help you, and had absolutely nothing to say when I explained what happened, other than "OK..." I'm thinking OK what? One would think a basic apology. But really the purpose of my review is, I want to be loyal to local businesses. Get your act together. First learn how to say hello and be friendly on the phone. Then coach your techs and remind them proper techniques. Why be mediocre when you can be great! If a customer has a request, even if its trivial to you, like remove the glue off the wheel, then do it. Want to charge me more, please do, just get it right. And if I customer calls with an issue, start by thanking them and tell them you appreciate their business, apologize for the inconvenience and ask them how can you make it better... customer service 101.

It's very comforting to know that C&R Tire is here to take care of my vehicle needs - even during these challenging times. Just so you know, they have taken all precautions to assure a safe and calm experience.
Our family has been bringing our vehicles to C&R for over 20 years, and we have always been extremely satisfied with C&R's customer service team. In my opinion, their mechanics are top-notch. Nobody in our family has ever had any negative issues with C&R. C&R is a great place to bring your vehicle for tires, maintenance and repair work. When our family needs any type of vehicle attention we call C&R.

These guys are awesome. On the brink of this winter storm, during the mad rush of everybody waiting last minute to get snow tires put on their car, and finding that shops were turning business down left and right, these guys stepped up and fit me in the schedule and had me out within a couple of hours. Excellent place, and always friendly service!

Dave and his team at C&R Tire in Sturbridge are by far the best of the best. The customer service cannot be beat and their prices are as competitive as any tire dealer in Central Mass. I had a difficult time finding the correct wheels for my vehicle and Dave went above and beyond in making sure that everything turned out just the way I had hoped for, even making a correction on parts that I had purchased myself. Everyone I encountered was extremely helpful and considerate of my needs. The technicians are very well trained and not just in tires, but any and all automotive needs that you may have. I can't say enough good things about C&R, and we are very fortunate to have a dealership like this in our area.

I hit something driving and got a flat one night. I was able to go into C & R the next morning and have it taken care of. They had tires in stock and were able to replace all of my tires, as they were worn and needed replacement. Thank you!

After being at this business several times I can tell you confidently that I will NEVER be back. My experience each time is as follows: I bring a vehicle in to have it looked at, they tell me there is something major wrong with it requiring an immediate and major repair, they provide me a price which is REALLY high and then proceed to tell me I will die if I drive it off the lot. I decline the repair and take it somewhere else to get a second opinion. The new place tells me it's something minor, or doesn't need fixed at all.

This has happened 3 times each of which involves high pressure sales followed by a high price.

I have taken my cars to C&R Tire in Sturbridge for many years. Their prices are good for service and tires. It's easy to make an appointment at my convenience and the work is usually done while with free Wifi and coffee in the waiting room.

Honesty, excellent service and competitive prices. What more could anybody want?

This place is great. I have been taking my old 1999 Chevy Lumina here for about a year now and they take such good care of my car and me. Ken and David behind the counter are amazing and the mechanics are wonderful. I can't recommend these guys enough. If you want your car fixed right go here. They won't charge you an arm and a leg and they get the job right the first time. Plus they call you before they do any work on your car and let you know prices. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that being on such a tight budget.
