Budget A1 Transmission & Complete Auto Care

I took my husband's diesel truck (the Behemoth) to Budget A1 Transmission on the recommendation of a good friend. The computer screen was completely blank and the AC was not working. They greeted me in the parking lot and got everything set up. (note: the parking lot is small, and full, so parking can be difficult).
The Behemoth is 10 years old and the dealership could not get the parts anymore, so the computer had to be rebuilt. Scott kept me informed of the status and subsequent delays because of the computer. They fixed the broken line on the AC, did a few other minor repair and maintenance items, and last they did an oil change...did you know a diesel takes 12 QUARTS of oil? Holy cow! With everything that had to be done, I was literally preparing myself for a whopper of a bill. It was HALF of what I was expecting. They have been so patient in waiting for me to have an opportunity to get down to Denver to get the truck. I am picking it up this week and will keep you updated if anything changes.

I've been a loyal customer as well as my mother for the past few years. Scott has always gone above an beyond to make sure our cars are well maintained. I cannot stress enough how wonderful and honest this place is.

I had my Ford F-150 into this shop this past week and these guys are great to work with. They were able to fix my shifting problem and idle problems for not a lot of money. Scott and Marc kept me in the loop during the whole time and worked with me on dropping it off then picking it up as their shop is a bit out of the way for me. I will definitely be bringing my 1997 back to them for maintenance.

Speaking of which, I talked to them the next day after leaving the office about having the headlights swapped out because they are cloudy due to age of the truck. Scott recommended that he thought that I could do it myself to save a buck. I have never ever had an auto shop tell me that. This is a great place to do work and you will get a fair price along with remember they don't charge for a diagnostic.

Took a 2004 Honda CRV to this shop to diagnose the transmission light coming on. They said the transmission needed to be rebuilt. They said maximum cost would be $1900 and said it would be done Wednesday and they would call us. Wednesday came and they didn't call us so we called them and they said it wouldn't be ready until Friday. On Friday they said it would be ready on Monday and it would be $2200. When we finally got the car back the check transmission light came on while we were driving home. We took it back several times and all they did was reset the computer and the check transmission light would come on driving home. After two years of this I did some research and replaced the neutral safety switch and the transmission light went out. These people either don't know what they are doing or they are crooks, either way don't take your vehicle to them.

Moving away from California to Colorado made me worried because I had a family friend who worked in the automotive business. So, I knew I was always getting the best deal and great work done. Or, I could call his mother hahah jk. But seriously.

Anyhow, this company really feels like a family friend mechanic that I can trust. Scott is their front desk advisor (owner? manager?) who is always polite, honest, upfront, gives options and communicates clearly and concisely.

Matt and the rest of the guys working their butts off because I have never seen that lot empty. Business always seems to be booming there and I know why.

I called in Monday August 3rd to make a Transmission Service Appointment. Talked to Mark..the owner, he said Scott was off and would return my call the next day, no one called and Mark the owner can't schedule service? I called back 2 days later, and whoever I talked to thought i wanted to make an appointment for coins...... ? Something going on here, service sucks, of course he's on Tom Martinos refferal list.... that doesn't mean ANYTHING anymore. I WONT BE BACK TO BUDGET A-1 TRANSMISSION....LOUSY SERVICE.

Scott was very helpful - price is what was quoted, plus they checked several other components and made an additional minor repair without charge :)

OK here's the deal, I had something wrong with my car so I drove up to this place. Scott, who I'm assuming is the manager or the owner, got up from his desk came out to my car and talk to me right away. Very kind and straightforward, not slimy like some car guys. They didn't end up being able to help what I needed because they don't do auto bodywork external stuff, more internal work, but they were so helpful and kind! Also I realized that my back blinker was out and for free they replaced the bulb. Without expecting anything. Those are just good humanity points! Also Derrin was the technician who replaced it, you can tell he's smart and efficient. Their specialty is transmissions, so next time somethings wrong with my transmission I'll be back here!

The guys here are great worth every dollar I spent with them. The work is top notch and the customer service is great definitely will be going back for sure with anything new to fix on both my cars. Thanks guys so much

We took our grandson's 2004 vw in for 2nd opinion after we were told replacing transmission and turbo was going to be over $4000. Scott kept us informed and we feel this shop went above and beyond. The repair bill was fair and reasonable. Thank you for your help.
