Breakfast House

I am driving across the country and stopped here for some breakfast. And I was so blown away. Our server, I think Amanda, was amazing and so nice. And the cook, Jason I believe, made such good food. I def recommend it here.

Was visiting my daughter and saw this restaurant online. She had never been and it had great reviews so we decided to give it a try. We loved it! Food and service were fantastic! Highly recommend.

A little breakfast joint that was amazing. We love little dives and this fit the bill!

Service was quick, despite being slammed at 9 Am on a Sunday.

I had AMAZING pancakes, eggs and bacon. My Person got the country fried steak skillet. The wheat toast was amazing as well.

Coffee cups were never empty and prices were reasonable.

This is a small diner with great food and service. Prices are right, and the coffee is plentiful!

Great Breakfast! Service is just right and attentive. French toast and pancakes are really good. Eggs were cooked as ordered. Portions seem just about right and what you would expect (the pancake was really big). Will definitely eat breakfast here anytime we are in CR.

Breakfast House is a local favorite in our house! Their menu is simple but they're one of the only places that has turkey bacon as an option. They also offer vanilla and berry granola yogurt parfaits as a potato alternative. They use fresh berries too! It's a cozy little spot so you may have to wait a bit if you come on a Saturday morning.

I'm absolutely impressed. This was a fantastic find. We both had fantastic meals and were 100% happy with our visit. I'm not even going to try any other breakfast location in this town. Everyone must try this place except when I want to eat here then you must save me a seat.

Hi Al My Fellow Yelpers! Well, I am here in Cedar Rapids, IA and I'm ready to hit the town!
This morning, I had an early doctor's appt., so my BFF & I decided to stop somewhere for breakfast! Woo hoo! We went to try out this breakfast spot one of her executives told her was the place to roll for breakfast, so here we are!
The decor is of a typical run of the mill diner. A few booths and tables w/chairs that could use a bit of an upgrade. We were informed that this would be taken place fairly soon.
I, of course, had to try, you guessed it! COUNTRY FRIED STEAK w/sausage gravy, eggs over easy, extra crispy hash browns, and sour dough toast! Brandi decided on a specialty omelet with ham, cheese, bell pepper, mushrooms and onions! A truly Iowa made omelet, ordered by a true Iowan! Lol! The hash browns were extra crispy, like we asked, but it could have been more substantial. We both felt that we hardly got any with our meals. It seemed like they took one order and split them between the two of us. Nevertheless, our food overall was solid. I am pretty sure I'll be back here again!

It was excellent, I had the biscuits and gravy, with sausage and then crispy bacon the side along with hash browns. It was fantastic. Looking forward to visiting again this week and try something else, I have confidence it will be great whatever I happen to order. Highly recommended, Clean local and comfy sittings. Staff was friendly and upbeat which added to the pleasant experience. GO visit Nd tell 'em a Texan sent ya!!!!

Good food at reasonable prices. Had brunch and was pleased with the service. Waitress was good.
