The Best BBQ Ever!!!
For my Mother's Day Dinner I was craving ribs! Found this place and I was so happy my husband bought me dinner here!
We ordered the Baby Back Ribs, collard greens and beans! The ribs were SUPERB, SUPER DELICIOUS SAUCE, INCREDIBLY TENDER MEAT!!
Wow- in my opinion, knock that "Phill0 who-? Anytime!!
Everyone was friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back!!

BBQ Ribs were delicious

Brisket was amazing cut real good just have to remove the fat

Sides were also good Mac & cheese good
Greens good , corn bread great , baked beans good

Drive by this place pretty often, but shy away bc of parking. Got lucky today and found parking right away. I didn't know what to order bc I wanted to try everything, but knew I was being greedy LOL. Ended up ordering the brisket dinner with baked beans and potato salad. The potato salad was good! I want to say it was the relish and a little paprika (?) that made me happy about that choice. Now the baked beans...... I don't think I've had baked beans where they put a good amount of black pepper or any black pepper. Loved them as the black pepper turned down the sweetness a bit and added a good kick to them. As for the brisket it tasted good only wish it was more tender. That is a personal preference, but the flavor was good. Definitely going back to try the hot pink, ribs, cole slaw and dirty rice.

As for the ambiance.... Looks like fun times, but I didn't stay to see the fun times. Outdoor dining in the back looked fun.

I've driven by here for a year... always thought it was closed... but being from Texas I had an itch! Let me say first off... the nostalgia in this place is just soon nice. Vintage records, positive vibes, great paintings.. there is outdoor picnic tables, family tables. A special secret in the back. It was just beyond what I thought I was coming into. I'm making a date day here soon. The rib tips were amazing... the sweet potato pie couldn't make it home, grama ate it on the way. Thank you so much for the experience.. we will definitely be coming back...

P.s you're baked beans are just down right yummy

So I saw someone post this BBQ spot on YouTube and I said I gotta try this place out . Well that was the best decision to make this place blew me off my feet !! The Service from ordering my food to when I sat down and the owner came up to us and had a nice conversation about his business and about how he started . NOW Jessica OMG by far the nicest woman and it was a pleasure meeting her she HOOKED us up she gave us 2 extra COOLAIDS and an order of CATFISH 2 pcs . I felt like I was at a good friends house the VIBE the Energy the atmosphere was soo CHILL. The FOOD was so Delicious And Defiantly coming back . Make sure you come here they will NOT Disappoint !!!! And Don't listen to these Negative comments this place Beats any BBQ spot in all San Diego !!!

The food was good! I had chicken, but other meals purchased, I was told the ribs were tender. But 3 meats, 2 sides was pricey at $47.67 a plate, and cornbread was extra at $15.30 for 3 pieces. Potato salad was tasty, but potatoes were overcooked. I'm happy they aren't downtown or Mission Valley Mall because the prices may be even higher

I'm always about recycling Black dollars so ridiing my bike from Oceanside to Bowlegged BBQ was no problem. I was welcomed by the red, black and green flag and the O'Jays playing in the background. Ribs were as delicious as they look and then it was someone's birthday and of course they played Stevie. This place is a whole vibe. I wasn't at a restaurant, I was at home.

Used to love the rib tips here...gotta be careful because they put OLD TIPS at the bottom of your order...this has been their practice...not cool

Today i was blessed with the cook EATING IN THE KITCHEN IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS...unsanitary...and the cashier screaming about her order later..

Old AZZ and sloppy cut..no flavor rib tips..

This is so stereotypical of what WE DON'T NEED with black businesses..

Great Food, excellent service, beautiful ambience, family Bar B Que spot , family oriented, Down south feeling, cigar lounge for ladies and gentlemen! Beautiful setting, great for the neighborhood. Tried many bar b Que spots and this is definitely one I can take my entire family to. Well priced , great quantity and quality!!

First off! I've e eaten a lot of food in my 38 years on this earth. This is probably the my one best meal I've ever had!!! The vibe, food, location. This place it IT.
