      absolutely amazing!

BLVD Chinese Kitchen has become my favorite Asian-fusion restaurant in all of California. Their entire food menu is just so simple, it spans across one sheet of paper. The prices are amazing too. I have eaten steaks in Las Vegas that are more expensive than the entire BLVD menu if I were to order one of everything.

I ordered the BBQ pork chow fun ($8) while my friend ordered the fish & chips ($13). We also shared an appetizer, the teriyaki chicken wings ($8 for six pieces). The chow fun is enough for one serving. It was not too oily and there was plenty of barbecue pork. I thought they could have afforded to add some more vegetables (bean sprouts + scallions) to the dish though. My friend loved his fish & chips a lot. The real winner of our meal was the teriyaki chicken wings. They were jumbo-sized, juicy and full of flavor. I kind of regret ordering the chow fun and not getting an additional order of wings for myself!!!

The two person service staff was especially helpful. They refilled our sodas numerous times and made our experience awesome! BLVD needs a better store-front sign to improve visibility to its customers. My friend had a hard time finding the restaurant. There's no private parking lot as well, only street parking. I simply wish more Asian-fusion restaurants would implement yummy, simple and inexpensive meals like what BLVD does for the city of Oceanside.

The place is small and we came towards closing about 40 mins till so I won't go in too hard.
      It is a
good place for a small group of friends or a date I guess. Not for children! especially babies. However I did see a boater seat or something. Nothing for infants though. seating

They have a verity of beers and such if you drink.
They also have soda fountain and teas.
I ordered the honey walnut shrimp it comes with a little broccoli and rice.
It is surprisingly very fresh tasting I think it was the walnuts that make the dish pop! They were toasted so perfectly If I decide to come back I'll be sure to ask for extra if I order the same thing.

      Tempura mushrooms for the table
Very pleased again at how fresh and clean the food tasted especially for being fried! They are whole mushrooms and they are very well seasoned and again I tell you fresh!!!
      I like the mushrooms more then my main dish.?;

      Pineapple curry chicken fried rice
It's was very flavorful! Maybe a tad too much seasonings. The curry taste was fine. It wasn't spicy it was a very mild flavor for yellow curry. However in my opinion it had a heavy pollo seasoning taste maybe like the rice had chicken seasoning or something idk. But it was good. We didn't really eat much of that at all.

The parking seems like it's only on the street I maybe wrong but the lot right next to the food places says not restaurant Parking that sucks because it's right off the street a pretty busy street.

Anyways we didn't have a horrible experience but I don't think we'll be back anytime soon

Driving by and saw the sign, I parked on the street because there's no parking dedicated to the eatery. I walk and in and am surprised that place looks nothing Chinese in nature. It's a more rustic eclectic bar type feeling and atmosphere with a menu of Asian foods.

I ordered the hot and sour soup and it came out piping hot. It looked great with friend wonton over it. It tasted amazing. The sweet and sour ribs did it for me. I never tasted anything quite like it. It was sticky goodness with just the right amount of sweetness. The wings were also so tasty and perfect!

The portions were big so I couldn't really order more food by myself. I'm sure if I did, the other dishes would be just as good.

The service was exceptional and the owner took the time to speak with me. My server was very professional and made me feel comfortable. Although I feel the price points could be higher based on the excellent quality of the food, I'm sure the owner knows his business well.

Overall, this is a must try for all you foodies! My experience here was pleasant and very enjoyable!

First of all, if you blink you might miss this place. Consider it a cozy hole in the wall that has amazing food and a great vibe. We got parking right out front so it was like a 2 second walk from within.

We got inside and to our surprise we were the only ones there. Is that a red flag or does that mean no one knows this place is here? Anywho the waitress was super nice and friendly and so was the rest of the staff. We ordered a bunch of different foods to try and we were far from disappointed.

First was an order of gyoza which were hot, crispy and delicious. Secondly we had gotten then salt and pepper tofu which was a huge amount of tofu might I add. Delicious with the gyoza sauce. Then we got the chili style calamari. This was the one we probably least liked because the strips of calamari were kind of small and was just mostly breading. But I could eat that breading on ANYTHING. It was crunchy and not super oily. So perfect. Then came the BBQ pork chow fun. Oh dear god this was the best chow fun we'd ever had. It was so flavorful and rich and the meat was cooked so delicious. It was a tad on the oily side but that's what happens when there's a lot of things in s dish and you want bold flavors. Lastly, we got the braised beef sliders. I believe they were served on sweet rolls with pickled onion. The meat was so tender and juicy and also had a flavor of star anise and cinnamon. Sort of like they braised it in pho broth.

I absolutely love this place and the service. This will be my go to Chinese stop from now on. They also take the Yelp discount from checking in!

The food, feel and concept of the place is about as Asian as Panda Express, but everythings way better.

The place: small and hipster. Lots of dark wood, random pipes sticking out of the walls with books on them, a chalkboard listing all the drinks, etc.

Food: very small menu. But what's offered is done well. On that night, the following fare was had:
Pork belly Sliders: these suckers were pretty sweet, but still pretty delicious. Love the Hawaiian roll bun and the meat was very very very flavorful (borderline too much?)
Fired rice: got it with half chicken and half Chinese sausage (you can do that! Didn't know until our waitress mentioned we could have both when we asked which one shed recommend)

Service: everyone's very friendly and accommodating.

Overall: pretty cool place. Not what I was expecting but everything was good. I'd go back.

Very rare is it that the server sits you down and says that a certain dish is the best in San Diego County, and their recommendation is correct. A few years ago a server did this in Little Italy and I couldn't really argue with her after trying her suggestion. Last night, I was pleasantly surprised to have been treated to one such experience for a second time.
In San Diego, a "fish taco" is typically a savory food. We've all had variotions of this- battered, grilled, baked, boiled, and all with some creamy/spicey/tangy sauce. It really comes down to a combination of flavor and texture that determines if I am a fan of said taco. Note, however that BLVD is Asian-fusion, so I really didnt know what to expect. When the plate came out, the individual tacos (3 per order) came out tapas-sized and were plated beautifully. As a meal, they were insufficient- but that just means that you get to order more great stuff from their menu! As a side, they were in a word, fantastic. They are a combination of honey-sweet and tangy with a hint of salt. The taco shell was slightly oily but just enough to make it moist enough to wrap around the filler without breaking or shredding.
As for the other sides, we got the cashew/pineapple fried rice which was top-notch. The house chicken (not sure if that's what is called) was solid but could have used an interesting dip or something. It came lightly breaded in a corn starch mixture. Good for the kids. We also got the Brussels sprouts. Let's face it- I'll eat a brussel sprout off the floor of a truck stop rest room, so I don't know if I'm a fair judge on that. Needless to say, they too were delicious.
As I finish many of my posts, I invite the reader to see for yourself, and make your own judgement (provided I feel it's a decent experience). In this case, I would urge you a little more than in the past. I think you'll be as pleased as I am about one of my new favorite places. I look forward to my next experience at BLVD.

      Here we go!

In the mood for some fresh Chinese food and this place showed up within walking distance. Convenient and cool environment... And they had an IPA on tap. Great start.

Server was quick, friendly and pleasant. He got me my beer and a menu right away. I started with an appetizer of hot and sour soup. $3 and very good. The menu is extremely simple and I ordered the beef and broccoli... It was served fresh from the wok hot on a cool ( interesting)plate with a side of rice ( with seeds - heads up if you don't like seeds) a plus for presentation ... Again the servers here were all friendly and on it.

The only criticism would be that the sauce on the beef and broccoli was a tad bit greasy vs saucy. Certainly the fresh food and service wasnt worth taking off a full star.

Im glad I found this place ... If you are craving really good chinese food and you're nearby ... Absolutely check them out ... With enough notice I will meet you for a beer ...

I was never a huge fan of the Fish Joint, so I was excited when I learned it was due to be replaced by something new. Once BLVD opened, I held off on visiting for a while, as most new places need some time to work out the kinks, which is totally understandable.

We finally went to visit on a Friday night around 8:30pm. It wasn't very crowded, and we hovered in the doorway after putting our name in. The hostess motioned over to one of two 2-person tables and let us know we could sit there once it was clean. Behind us came a party of 3 (whom a different hostess appeared to know personally), so they put us off to the side and gave our table to their party instead because I guess it was easier to add another place than to ask them to sit along the bar on the wall (which could have easily fit 3+ people)....

Long story short, after playing musical chairs, we were happy to finally sit and order. One of the waitresses there is pretty rude (the same one that gave our table away), but luckily we spent most of our time there being waited on by a young guy. He was very friendly and welcoming, and kept checking in on us to see how everything was. At one point, it had been well over 30 minutes since we'd put our food order in. We weren't all that concerned (although, hungry), but our server noticed we'd been waiting for a while and offered us a complimentary bottle of sake. It was incredibly nice of him to do that, and we appreciated the gesture.

My curry pineapple fried rice with sausage was pretty awesome, and my husband enjoyed his chow fun noodles. I can't comment on the cocktails, but I was watching the servers build them and take them to other tables, and they looked pretty creative. Overall, we had an enjoyable experience, the food was good and the service was friendly. I'd say this is a good addition to our beloved Oceanside, and we will be back.

Once I saw that BLVD served 40s of Old E, I knew I had to be there. The bf and I stopped in on New Years Day and loved everything about what we ordered. Our server was super knowledgeable and helpful. He made sure we were satisfied with our beer selections and gave us his recommendations on what we may or may not like.

      We shared the following:
      * Beef short rib curry potato cakes-- so good. Presentation was beautiful. And everything worked so well together. It was was one their specials, and I hope it becomes a menu item because it was so delish. And I could eat them literally every day of my life.

      * Fish Tacos- three mini grilled fish tacos with finely sliced carrots and cabbage. The sauce was a little on the sweet side, but with the added sriracha- it leveled out perfectly.

      * Chow Fun with BBQ Pork- Recommended by our server. The BBQ pork was absolutely delish and not in any way overpowering. It is chow mien served with bean sprouts, onion, and green onion. Simple and well executed.

      * Purple Haze Sake Cocktail- So amazingly good. I am not a sake fan and LOVED this drink. It is served in a 1/2 carafe with two sake cups. The bf literally asked for a tall straw because he couldn't drink it fast enough. That good!

Cant wait to go back to try the pineapple curry fried rice and the walnut shrimp!

Little late on my review.. I've been here a few times and keep forgetting to write a well deserved review.

This little place is heaven and so refreshing for the North County. Especially because its not another brewery or tavern. Too many of those going around. This place has a fresh menu for sure!

Let me start with my top 5 favorites.
*Orange Chicken- is simply mouth watering and not dry what so ever. The sauce is perfectly tangy and just the perfect amount of sweet.
*ChowFun- exactly! "Chow Fun"!! So, so Delicious!! The rice noodles are the tastiest things around. You can add either the Pork, Chicken or the Shrimp. "Hell add them all"! Lol! You can't go wrong.
*The wings are addicting. "Watch out"! Nom Nom!!
      * Curry Pineapple Fried rice. Just the perfect amount of spices with some traditional fried egg and cashews.
*Honey Walnut Shimp .. yikes! Super Ono!!!
      Ok one more just because..
      * Asian tacos! YES, I said it Asian Tacos. must try!!!

Great selection of beers for sure!
The Bikini Bottom Saki is a must try!

If you do come here. Come Hungry!!
      You won't regret it!

The only down fall is their closed Mondays and don't offer Happy hour Prices on Fridays...

But over all my new favorite place!
Service gets a 5 star. The staff is so awesome and very attentive!
