Black Bear Diner - Turlock

Just recently went to this black bear diner and it was delicious!! The manager and servers had great service. I'll definitely be back

Worst freaking experience and service ever. Black Bear ruined my mom's mother's day breakfast that ended being lunch.
We were first told wait time was 30-35mins, but we ended up waiting for over 50mins. We understood it was busy, so we were okay.
The thing that was incredibly frustrating was our waitress "Odi" and a random older man (not sure if he was a manager). We waited over a freaking hour for our food. Several people that came in after us had their food before us. We were really patient until the random older man (maybe manager) came saying without context that his kitchen was "pfff" and did some hand motions. Im guessing he was trying to say that they were backed up and said our food would be out shortly. Mind you we had already been waiting for over an hour. Our food came out 30mins later. All while our "waitress" kept avoiding our table and would randomly say your food will be out shortly 3 different times within the span of 1 1/2 hours. All they did for us was give us a lousy sorry, a bill, and some shitty as services. I am absolutely livid about this.

You guys need better management. We always come here on busy days and never experienced this before.

Another Black Bear Diner location that exceeds expectations clean welcoming atmosphere! Food was delicious & hearty staff was great overall a great experience!

We placed an online order for pickup this morning. Garbage service. From the Manager to the cashier attending on the counter. My husband gets there and asks for the pickup order and cashier says they don't have it. The order was put behind the counter somewhere so they lost the order. When they bring out the order they still get the order wrong. Eggs were raw and missing items. Then the Manager comes out and we ask for a refund and simply says "Oh, you have to do it online I can't help you" and just walks away. So no help whatsoever. Very disappointed with everything about this restaurant.

Wonderful service. My servers name was Nate and he was very friendly. I ordered a California omelet and asked him to add chorizo to it. Unfortunately the one they brought out did not have chorizo but I was so hungry I didn't ask him to take it back. When he did come back to check on us I told them that it was all good but there was no chorizo. He apologized and asked to take it back but I was already halfway done and told him no. Sometimes it's not a big deal to get the wrong order as long as the server is genuinely apologetic about it. The place was pretty packed yet everyone was friendly. From the hostess to the busboy. Will most definitely go back.

Love it here. Yummy food. Nice clean environment. Clean bathrooms. Staff checks on you a lot to see if u need anything and are very nice. The Food is delicious! Def going back!

The food was good but for the price you could go to Texas Roadhouse I was so disappointed NO CARROT-CAKE like they used to. That was the whole reason we were going service was great

I had their new sandwich the Parisian
Sausage and Cheese on French Toast with Maple Syrup for a dipping sauce. It was cooked perfectly.

My fellow diner had a new sandwich called the Big Cheese. Very satisfied with it as well.

I have been eating at black bear diner for more than a year now and I always get a senior discount but I was told today that there is new management in place and they will no longer give senior discounts. That is absolutely ridiculous. Horrible management team, Never going back .

This is a really good Black Bear Diner restaurant with GREAT Customer service! From the time we walked in the hospitality felt so warm and welcoming. Our server kept checking on us making sure we were good. Then the general manager I believe he was a really tall man who was also really nice came to make sure we enjoyed our food. He even fixed my husbands bill, my husband thought his steak meal was a certain price but that was the Monday thru Friday price but that General Manager was like no let me honor it and make sure i make it right for you. We wasn't expecting that at all but super appreciative. Whenever in Turlock go give that Black Bear Diner and try, you won't be disappointed. Food was really good and hot. Thank me later.
