They are in fact renovating their hotel. As for one who is currently residing in a newly renovated room, I'm impressed. I'm comfortable, it's quiet here, and the pool looks great. The staff has been very friendly. So far, I see no reason to rate anything lower than 5 stars.

Outdated but it was great for our families needs. It was quiet which was great. Close to a Cracker Barrel. My only real hiccup was the hostess at the front desk. She wasn't very friendly at all and seemed like guests were disrupting her day. I watched one guest stand at the desk when I went out to my car and then about 10 or so minutes later was still standing at the desk while the girl was in the office on her phone. Customer service means alot to me since I've been in the industry for a while. We have been staying at Hilton's and Marriots and was looking to switch to a different brand. My parents had always stayed in Best Westerns when I was a kid so I thought we would give them a chance.

We stayed at this hotel for work in Jacksonville Florida for three nights. The exterior was extremely dirty not well-maintained at all building wise and just a little bit ran down. Take us about 45 minutes to check in because we use a third-party site and something was wrong who knows not a big deal. When entering my room it smelled like at some point in time they allowed people to smoke which really sucks because I don't smoke. Decent continental breakfast every morning except for the last morning or they decided not to have it. When I called and complained after a few minutes the woman said oh it's because of cove it that's everyone's excuse when they Screwup to get out of it total BS. Needless to say this is my first time staying at the best Western and I'll probably be my last.

We stayed here for Spring Break, Tuesday-Saturday. I must admit, we almost didn't stay here due to lack of reviews. I'm glad that we did. Prior to booking, I called to make sure that the "suites" had a separate sitting area and TV. (Traveling with a teenager who likes his own space.) They offered a family suite for around $111 a night. This suite has a separate bedroom w/bunk beds and a TV.
The hotel is in Orange Park, a slight turn off the interstate. It's on a"dead end" road. There is another hotel, family dollar, Cracker Barrel and another building on this road. There's a man made pond (surrounded by a fence) across the street. In the next shopping Center over there's a Chinese food place, ABC store, grocery store, and a few other shops. All of these are within a safe walking distance from the hotel.
Our room was pretty nice. It was very clean and spacious. The fridge was NOT on when we got there. It took a few hours for our drinks and food to cool down. The bathroom is a pretty decent size. The only downside were the towels! They are extremely small. I think they were designed with small children in mind!
For the most part, we had a great stay until the last day!!! We only received housekeeping one day. (We usually sleep in and don't bother asking for it. And we just get fresh towels & toilet paper from the desk when we need it) We came back from sightseeing and our room has been cleaned. (Yay!) The next morning is checkout. We pack up our things and prepare to shower and get ready to leave. Whoever cleaned our room the previous day did NOT leave any wash cloths! I don't understand how you can leave a towel and hand towel but no wash cloth. I saw a housekeeper in the hallway and ask her for 2 extras. She didn't have any. I called the front desk and the attendant said she'd send some right up. About 10 minutes later someone brings up some wash cloths. I need 2, she brought 1. I asked her if we could have 1 more bc I asked for 2. Without even turning around to acknowledge my presence she rudely states, "I don't have any more. I'll bring the other back later". It's 10am. Check out is at 11. Please tell me what time is "later". Luckily, we found 1 from another attendant. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Casey P.North Charleston, SC21510Aug 11, 2018
Avoid this hotel. We stayed on Aug. 3rd, 2018. Upon arrival, after walking through the cloud of smokers standing in front of the front door, they argued with us about payment. We paid through Expedia and had the printout to show it and they wanted us to pay again. After 15 minutes they finally said that it was paid and gave us our room key.
We got to the room on the 3rd floor and noticed right away that the computer chair's right arm rest looked like a dog had chewed it off and the lamp in the corner had some unknown stain on the shade. The air was set to 60, but the room was hot the entire night.
The bathroom was a disaster. There were only 2 sets of towels and I had to track a maid down to get another set. She didn't want to give them to me, but finally did. The air vent in the bathroom ceiling was coming down and only held up by one side. The mold and mildew on the inside and outside of the shower was terrible.
The continental breakfast was not to the standard of most hotels, but did the job, I guess. All in all, we were very unhappy, but felt complaining would have been pointless after the issue with the payment. I did take pictures of the problems just in case. There are 3 other hotels on the same road. Try one of them instead.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brian M.FL, FL07Apr 23, 2022
Has to be the worst Best Western in the world. Walked into the lobby to check in and the smell of sewage was overpowering. The place is run down and the staff is indifferent. Best stay somewhere else.

If you are visiting Savanna, this is the best place to stay. It is located right by the River Walk and you can walk around Savanna from this hotel. The staff is EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. And the breakfast bar is the best I've had in a Best Western. I have stayed in Best Western Hotels all around the country and this is one of my favorites! Thank you so much to the staff!

I stayed here for a week recently on a work trip, I was very impressed! The rooms are clean and spacious (paid roughly $100 per night) the pool and hot tub area are clean. The fitness center is mediocre, but considering the high quality of the rooms/breakfast/pool/hottub I really can't complain. If you need a maintenance workout you can get it in, but definitely not a place to work on your deadlifts/benching etc. overall, I loved it!

This place was just fine and I wanted to give it a positive review. We almost didn't stay there because of the other reviewer. It was quiet and comfortable. It is near the freeway but we didn't hear it so the windows must be high quality too. The staff were pleasant, especially the guy who checked us in at night.
The breakfast was good -- the typical more extensive hotel breakfast with hot options. All hotels seem to serve it on styrofoam these days and that's my only problem with this place. Real plates, etc would be much nicer.
One great thing about this place -- after we drove many hours to get there we could WALK just up the street to a Cracker Barrel restaurant! That was just what we needed instead of getting back in the car again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
