      1 check-in

I have never tried bb.q Chicken until recently but after this visit I think it's one of the top contenders for best Korean Fried Chicken. Walking in here, there was no one here on a Sunday evening which is a bit odd but that didn't stop my friends and I from sitting down. We were greeted by someone that was able to take our orders and hand us plates/utensils, ect. The cool thing about this place is you can order via scanning the QR code at the tables, and checking out there too. If you order through your phone then you could just pay for it on there. Very convenient and I wish more places offered such convivence.

I went a bit basic on this but I wanted to try their Golden Original ordered Half Chicken. It came with 8 pieces and I think it's a pretty good amount for what you paid for.

You want to know the best part of bb.q chicken? The first bite or the first crunch really. That crunch may be one of the most satisfyingly crunches I ever tasted on fried chicken. It is really something to witness in person as I am filled with joy after numerous bites after. It's light/crispy but with no sauce it's very plain. I think next time if I were to come back I'd probably get Gangnam Style or Soy Garlic.

I also got fries and they are good but with no salt they were a bit stale. Luckily there was ketchup next to me where that was good enough for me to enjoy it.

Will I come back here again? I think it's hard to have a final verdict because fried chicken is something you have to experience over and over again. I have always wanted to visit bb.q chicken after watching so many K-Dramas. I'm just happy to say I am a fan and will try to stop by for more!

As soon as he walked in, we were greeted by a manager, super nice guy. Not sure if he was the owner or not, but he was super sweet. The store is very mellow so I really liked the ambience. Perfect for fried chicken store.

The smoothies are really good and the chicken is really good too. We ordered the golden original and the spicy original. And the japchae.

The strawberry lemonade smoothie was good and the strawberry slushy was good.

      Will definitely be back!

Here comes a long overdue review for a franchise that changed my life. This bbq chicken location was the first I've encountered and the beginning of my long term relationship with the chain.

I visited this location after a concert, hungry but a little sketched out. The store was dimly lit and there were no customers inside(which was surprising given the concert that just happened.). We almost didn't go in because it was giving horror movie vibes but I'm glad we were brave enough to get a order to go. I don't even really remember what concert it was but that's not important. This chicken is important.

We ordered the soy garlic and rose tteokbokki. Let me tell you. Fried chicken is my favorite food. There is something wrong with me, if a store has fried chicken I have to order it. And Korean fried chicken is the best version of fried chicken. If your looking for crispy and juicy, then this is it. It's everything a fried chicken should be. If I were a fried chicken I would want to be a bbq fried chicken. I've had other Korean fried chicken chains and restaurants but bbq is just... different. It feels different. When the soy garlic hits my tongue, it feels like all is right in the world.

The rose tteok was also very good, creamy spicy bouncy rice cakes. This is my favorite version of the classic tteok. The sauce is so delicious creamy which really compliments the spice. Don't get me wrong, this is a delicious dish and I always order it but the chicken is just so good, it'll always be the star of the show. In fact the rose tteok at this location has been the best of the franchises I've visited.

By now it should be obvious that I do very much recommend bbq chicken. In fact, whenever I travel, I eat bbq chicken in a new city, just because it is reliably delicious. I love bbq chicken. Bbq chicken and my girlfriend are the only reliable things in life that makes me smile.

You may be wondering by now if I am paid off by bbq chicken or if I'm a corporate shill. Unfortunately I am not; although I would love to be paid to spread my love of this chain. I do hope bbq chicken will never disappoint me otherwise I may get depression. I will say that while the soy garlic chicken has been consistent through out the chains I visit, I do have complaints on other franchises that I've visited. But so far, it's never been a problem with the chicken. I will continue to review bbq chicken restaurants across the country, maybe one day this will be a documentary. Or maybe ppl will just think I'm crazy bc I love bbq chicken. I do wish the price was cheaper but it's probably for the best; my body can only take so much fried chicken.

I haven't returned to this location for a second visit yet but maybe it's time to return to where it all started. (Bbq chicken please sponsor me.)

Bb.q has the best Korean fried chicken. We love all the varieties but especially the soy garlic and spicy. Rose tteobokki is always a take home side order with fries

      Updated review

This place is a sit-down, order at counter restaurant. I came with a big group after work and the food took about 30 minutes to come, which was reasonable.

I really enjoyed the rose tteokbokki, which was creamy and had fish cakes. The boneless chicken was really big, and I shared half of the chicken with another friend. The sauce was not spicy at all, and I would've preferred it to be a bit spicier. The sauce was also sweet, so be mindful of that. If I came back, I would try a spicier sauce. I tried the galbi as well (two chili marks) but it was still not very spicy.

Easy parking as it is in a lot. I tried the soy garlic chicken and the honey garlic chicken. I liked the honey garlic more and would recommend that. Their chicken was crispy and surprisingly tasty! We also got their takoyaki which wasn't that great. It didn't have much octopus in them and it came out a bit cold which was a little weird.

I did think the service could have been a lot better. Our server was nice but took our order and that was about it. She left a pitcher of water at our table also which was nice. We weren't checked on after our food was dropped off and we had to walk to the bar area to ask for boxes and the check.

Their system is newer and they have the handheld machines where you pay right there which I felt super awkward about because they're literally standing there as you tip but I guess that saves on costs etc etc but definitely not comfortable for customers. If I came back, I would probably just order to go.

On National Fried Chicken day, July 6, my wife and I came here for our favorite fried chicken.

We ordered the spicy original. We don't like sauce on chicken, so we highly recommend the spicy original or the original fried chicken as they are their best. The ones with sauce make the super crispy coating soggy. We also recommend eating the chicken there as taking it home it gets cold and steam in the box also takes away from crispiness.

That said, we both think BB.Q Chicken has the best crispy fried wings around.

Spicy Original wings, super crispy and flavorful.

If you're ordering chicken to-go, make sure place your order through call (don't order via Google because the prices are jacked up a bit compared to their website menu). Overall, my friend had a smooth process ordering over the phone and picking up the chicken, despite having to place the order to feed 16-17 people. We were able to try a variety of different chickens: original, secret spicy, Gangnam, honey garlic and soy garlic.

By the time we got the chicken, sadly they were on the soggier side (even the original, which doesn't have sauce). My personal favorites were the secret spicy (which isn't even that spicy...), honey and soy garlic. To be honest, the honey and soy garlic looked the same so I couldn't really tell the difference between the two and I didn't bother looking at the box to see which one I was eating. Overall, this is pretty solid. The original and secret spicy options have whole chicken options, which we got. Even the white meat chicken was juicy and tasty (but maybe because it was drenched with sauce).

They also gave us 15 radish cups for our order which was the perfect amount for our large party. We even got to use few of them to play "chubby bunny" later on in the evening!

My friend and I got the spicy and the Gangnam style wings to share. I personally liked the Gangnam style one better because it was spicy but still had a good flavor to it. It's heavy on the black pepper and I love the jalapeño spice. The other spicy one was one of those flavors that's both spicy and sweet so it didn't have as much of a kick as I expected it to. The chicken itself was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I was excited to try bb.q chicken because it's seems like it's a staple in Korea, but I feel like in Nova there are better fried chicken restaurants than this.
