Banzai Marina

This place was amazing! The sushi was super fresh and tasty!! The service was excellent and they really pay attention to details! Would highly recommend giving this place a shot especially if you like more of an upper scale experience.

I ordered takeout sushi and I cannot wait to come back and enjoy some delicious sushi at the restaurant. I ordered the lobster dynamite and crunchy roll. I am very pocky with my sushi and this was amazing sushi rolls! I loved each one and I love how everything was separated for my take out order. The woman who took my take out order was very kind and sweet so amazing service! I saw pictures and can't wait to visit them in person because it seems like a beautiful restaurant.

Kampachi sashimi-best experience I've had at any sushi restaurant! Staff and chefs are top notch and have set the bar too high. Definitely need a reservation because those who know, KNOW! Amazing experience!

Went to dinner at Banzai Marina the other night. It's a small and intimate place that serves awesome sushi! We ordered some appetizers and highly recommend getting the mahalo ahi. It's a combination ahi, cucumber and avocado salad with a delicious dressing. The tuna on fire is also a great appetizer. It's ahi tuna covered in a spicy chili sauce.

For the main course, we went with the sashimi dinner. Every slice was fresh and flavorful. It's a great plate for one a also can be shareable. The dragon roll was a personal favorite and the eel was perfectly baked.

Our server was awesome a checked on us to make sure dinner went well. Overall, dinner went well and Banzai Marina is a hidden gem in Ventura!

Their weekday lunch specials at 12.99 keeps me coming back. The sushi is fresh, portions are good, and the value is splendid. I recommend the fried oysters as well. Pacing was perfect as well to fit into the lunch hour. Happy hour is fantastic as well!

I live for banzai's weekday lunch specials! Great prices and a large portion, I always leave here happy. There are so many lunch combos and they are all served with rice, miso soup, and a salad served with a divine orange dressing (maybe ginger based!).

I usually order some combination of the following:
Salmon teriyaki w/ tempura
Chicken teriyaki w/ spicy tuna roll
Sesame chicken w/ ca roll
Hand roll combo with a ca roll & salmon roll

It can get busy during lunch so I try to come right at 11:30 when they open.

Great service, there's seating indoors and outdoors, and there's a parking structure across the street on Santa Clara or you can park on chestnut and walk on over.

Happy hour menu is misleading at best. I can't speak to the food, because I left after ordering and paying for my soda. What I can say, is that the staff serving me were condescending and frankly a little bit nasty. I had called ahead and was told the restaurant was empty. I even told them I'd be in in about 20 minutes.. It was less than half full when I got there, and I was told that I could eat if I would leave within an hour because they were full for the night. Perhaps they just don't like serving certain people.

As an example of something misleading on the menu... Happy hour is advertised as including "specialty cocktails." When I asked to see that menu, the waitress said they don't serve cocktails. This establishment is rather bleak... certainly in terms of environment and service. I gave it two stars rather than one or none out of fairness since I never tried the food.

The sashimi dinner was excellent! The fish was fresh and tender. My table was super impressed with how delicious everything was. The presentation was also elegant and beautiful. We enjoyed the low-key and friendly atmosphere, and the wait staff was very welcoming. We brought my elderly father to dinner with us, and the waiters were very patient and pleasant to him. I would definitely return; it's definitely some of the best sashimi I've ever had! Highly recommend this place!

I have had lunch at Banzai Marina a few times and I highly recommend this restaurant. They don't skimp on portions and the prices are reasonable. The servers are quick to help you and the food is delicious. In fact, I'm getting hungry just thinking about their menu.
