In today's business banking world where you are judged solely by numbers, Bank of Southern California is a breath of fresh air reminiscent of banking relationships told of in the stories of past mentors. They actually listen to where you want to go, not just where you've been. They don't hide behind new regulations but search out new options for you. It's the best banking relationship I've had in the last 21 years. They know my name - and it's only been a year.
At our previous bank, we had three different loan officers in one year - prompting our decision to explore new options. At B of So Cal, the same team has been working with us since we began. At our previous bank, we had to chase after service. Now, BoSC calls us to see what we need.
Do you want to know your banker? I know mine!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - T D.San Diego, CA29114May 4, 2020
In a very stressful time Justin Roscoe at the Carmel Valley branch of Bank of Southern California made transactions surrounding Covid-19 and the SBA somewhat of a breeze. What looked to be massively complicated paperwork, he walked us through. He was almost always available when we called him and when he understandably wasn't, he got back to us in a quick reasonable time frame. We seriously could not have dreamed up a better scenario for what is a disasterous crisis for our business. We sincerely recommend him and hope you look him up. We deal with many banks and find them mostly to be impersonal and to simply not to care about the individual small businesses of America. Justin proved that to not be the case and we truly enjoyed working with him.

We work with the Del Mar branch for our business banking needs. As one of the last local banks in San Diego, they have a responsive team. If we need anything to move quickly on a business opportunity, it's never a problem.
Most of the SD local banks have been acquired by bigger national players and over the last 25 years we've repeatedly found that's when the branches lose most of their control and really can't help us get things done in a timely fashion. We like to bank with real people, who are interested in our business needs and in having a long-term relationship. Always open to feedback and thinking about how they can better meet our needs, we hope to stay here for a long time to come.
Their mobile app is top-notch, state-of-the-art, with all needed functions--we can do bank deposits 24-7 with a smartphone, as well as easier things like check on balances. In the past we've accepted some technological shortcomings as a trade-off with small and local banks, but there is no such sacrifice with Bank of Southern California.
Their only real flaw is that the online and app experience is so excellent, lacking no features, I don't often have to go into the branch. That's too bad, because all the people are cheerful and smart and the service is terrific. If you're a business with more regular cash needs pushing you into the branch, you'll get more benefit there than we do.
Don't let the Del Mar location scare you off: It's Del Mar Heights area with lots of parking, easy access off El Camino Real (even at lunchtime).Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mike G.San Diego, CA801328Aug 17, 2015
Cory Moore and the team give 5 Star service. It's what banks have forgotten about their clients in the last 20 years that Bank of Southern California remembers to do every time I walk through the door.

I've been a customer at Bank of Southern Californis for ten years an they are as good as it gets. Way better than Wells Fargo Private banking because of the very personal service. Ask for remote capture for your deposits and make sure you get th know your personal banker. I love this bank.

I'm so excited to finally leave Wells Fargo, after 20 years and 11 accounts, I made the switch! Extremely stressful and scarey but I realize I need to take it slow and make the transition at my pace. I think Wells Fargo and other big banks really hook you with the multiple accounts you have. It just makes it so hard to move on to another bank. Anyway, I'm here to tell you that B of SC is making it so easy, stress free, and with the highest level of customer service I have ever experienced in a bank. One big drawback is they dont have many ATMs. BUT, you can use any ATM for cash and they will reimburse you any fees charged by the third party Bank! My experience has been exception and I highly recommend considering taking the Big Bank hand cuffs off and experiencing a real customer service driven bank...

Best bank we've ever used. Customer service is like an old-fashioned bank where they not just know your name but also monitor your account, answer the phone personally, provide personal service and a full range of services, and you're not just a number but a customer they value and want to keep as a lifetime customer. We use them for our personal account and our business accounts, have done so for more than 5 years, and honestly wouldn't switch to any other bank if you paid me. When we wanted a home equity line to do some remodeling (and also when we wanted a business line of credit to expand our business), they made the transactions happen efficiently and with ease. Can't say enough good things about this bank and all the staff.

the bank is close to my home & is never busy. the staff are friendly but do not always answer all my questions. the website for bill pay sometimes doesn't work & i have to call the bank to help me. they always are happy to do so. so i guess my problem is more with their online banking than the bank itself.
