Banana King

Absolutely love coming to banana king. Food always seems to be consistent. Service is good even when it's busy. Ambiance is typical of a fast food place but their food is better. Make sure to get a coconut milkshake made with carnation milk. Life changing

I love banana king because their smoothies and sandwiches are usually great. My sandwich & smoothie were delicious here! They have a large seating area which is great. But the cashier seemed to be rushing and was passive aggressive. Regardless, I would come back because the food was on point.

The worst food we have ever tried. The Hawaiian hot dog without pineapple. The steak fajita super expensive and the meat was hard and the taste was awful. Please save your trip and money. Bad food.

Let me start off by saying, I've been coming here for atleast 3-4 times a month for the last couple years. I got my usual Cuban, empanadas and mango smoothie. One sip of the smoothie and I started to gag. I thought maybe I just needed something to eat first. Took a bite of the empanadas and they tasted like they were made 57 years ago. I was so so sad, this is my favorite spot and to see all the standards drop so badly like this is devastating. I told the staff that the smoothie didn't taste right, they first thing they said was "that doesn't make sense" what kind of service is this lol, I didn't even want my money back! I paid extra for the smoothie and ended up getting a Diet Coke instead. The whole time I was here waiting for my food, 2 more customers complained about either the food or smoothie. This place fell hard, be prepared to be disappointed. Banana king? more like shit king

Apparently, Banana King is the spot to end your night when in Jersey. A few friends and I got the munchies after a night out and found ourselves at Banana King.
I ordered the Regular Banana King Shake (~$6) and a Beef Empanada (~$2). The Banana King Shake included banana, strawberry, and passionfruit for the fruits. It was pretty thick and filling. It wasn't too sweet which I liked. The sweetness really came from the natural sugars of the fruits. The Beef Empanada, on the other hand, was a little questionable. The meat did not look like beef at all but it was decently seasoned. The empanada is made out of corn flour. I usually prefer wheat flour, which was not an option unfortunately.
Overall, if it's late at night and you need something to curb your hunger, I can see Banana King being a solid stop. This location is also much cleaner and put together compared to others. If you find yourself here, get a shake!

Sold my friend a salad that had MOLD on it ‍ - it is very clear they do not do inventory/keep track how old their food may be and sell it to the public

Not sure what's up with the bad reviews, but Banana King is awesome and so is the staff. Food is great and open late night when you got the munchies.

Great food with the a good variety of items and some of the best shakes in the areas.

I ordered a steak sandwich, a steak arepa and 2 pina colada smoothies. the steak sandwich was pretty good. The smoothies were Okay i didn't wait longer than 10 minutes for the food, so the smoothies should have been more frozen. i ordered my arepa with no tomatoes and when i got it, it had tomatoes on it. We then went back to the store and told them the problem, They then just scraped the soggy tomatoes off the arepa and gave me back a crumbly mess. when i went back in to ask for a new one they started speaking in another language and laughing at me. Saying that i just need to eat it. eventually they brought out a new sandwich and it just didn't taste good.

Moral of the story the customer service was so bad in this situation when it could have been a simple fix.

Can't go wrong with Banana King as last minute dinner!!! My favorite drink: papaya shake!
