Very friendly and responsive. I needed a jacket shortened and they turned it around quickly.

Agree with the 1 star reviews.

My fitting was done with the owner in Columbus Ohio. He was pushy and rude. I can handle a little sass, but at the end of the day the product is mediocre. I've had off the rack suits last longer.

I bought three mid level suits, at over $1100 a piece. The shirts at approx $110 a piece. The shirts are garbage.
The order was wrong when I went to pick it up, and the owner offered to sell me more at a discounted price, not to fix the issue.

But I'm here leaving a review because, 2 years later, the suits are falling apart. The quality is pretty bad. The fabric was pilling really soon after I started wearing them. The buttons on the pants have fallen off.

I was excited to support a local shop like this. But the heavy handed sales tactics and the poor quality of the suits has me regretting my purchase. I won't be a return customer.

If you're looking to buy a suit... Do yourself a favor. Go RIGHT PAST the $100 suit rack to ANY good suit-maker.

Astor and Black is a GOOD suit-maker. A good suit-maker with a reputation for the little things that will get you noticed... like surgeon cuffs, and hand-stitched finish work.... They listen to you ever step of the way, making suggestions as you go to help you look your best. And they'll even come to your house/office/etc.

One of the best-kept secrets in Columbus.

DO NOT BUY suits or any clothing from Astor and Black. As a businessman who wears suits daily, these are the worst quality suits I have ever owned. I purchased higher-end fabrics on 3-suits, each with 2 pairs of pants. (Of note, the shirts and ties they give you are a joke, poorly made and not worth wearing if you plan on looking like you have either style or success).

The suit fabric and lining is pilling, the seams are splitting, and the 3 suits i have look old and worn in comparison to suits i have that are 2 to 3 times older and have been worn and clean many more times. For reference, my Astor and Black suits are under 2 years old and my other suits (Armani) are 4 and 6 years old. Though the 6 year old suit is showing signs of age and wear and will be retired shortly, it looks better than the Astor and Black suits.

These suits are not worth the money and are of poor quality, overdone with fabric and canvas on the inside and poor quality stitching on the outside. Don't be fooled by the personalized service and at-home or office fittings. Do yourself a favor and get a real suit.

Astor & Black is Back and under new ownership! Find the new A&B at 464 East Main Street, Suite 100. Same high quality fabrics used with only high quality and consistent manufacturing. Better price points, as well. Check out The NEW Astor & Black, by Bello Verde!

BEWARE, stay away from this company!
I ordered $3000.- worth of shirts and sport coats from a Astor&Black's "Professional Clothier" in Cleveland and it was an awful experience. Initial measurements were taken and AMEX was charged, then nothing for a long time. Items came in, shirts were fine for the most part. I am sparing you the details. The sports coats needed to be altered, AMEX was charged with balance. A few weeks later sports coats came back and were worse than before, altered in the oposite direction. Next round of alterations, came back, no difference. Next round of alterations, no change. We are now a few months into the process with fully paid bill, lost hours of wasted time and a deep dislike of the items that are simply not right. I dread wearing the custom items they made and paid top dollar for.
Never again will I waste my time this this organization.

I couldn't be happier with the 5 suits I purchased from Astor and Black. I received 5 shirts and 5 ties with my purchase. Patrick McMeans was my sales consultant and was helpful for the entire process. He came to my office, brought material samples, some suits/shirts/ties to show me how things worked together. We discussed my expectations and the purpose of the suits and how they would fit with my wardrobe.

When I got the clothes the quality was superb. Materials, fit and finish were everything that I expected. I needed a few tweaks on the length of the pants and Patrick walked out of the company Holiday Party to meet with me and make some small adjustments. Overall I couldn't be happier with both the product and how I was treated by every single employee I had interaction with. From the receptionist all the way up to David David Schottenstein everyone was friendly, helpful, and honest about putting me in the clothes/accessories/fit that would make me look my best.

      I couldn't give a stronger recommendation.

Agreed with my fellow reviewers. Don't be fooled by the in-house or in-office fittings. While the personnel are friendly, they are a rather annoying with their sales pitch, are terrible at following up, and absolutely clueless when it comes to style and trends. Poor quality fabric, even at the higher price points (the stitching is already coming out), and in less than a year, the suit looks like it is several years old. Astor & Black is exactly what you would expect from a midwest based suit company that sources from China. BEWARE! You would be better off spending a little extra money on an Armani, Gucci, or even a Calvin Klein. Don't waste your money on these guys.

I went through their website and was under the impression that they are a well run business. However, I was disappointed as my many phone calls as well as the many Internet requests for an appointment were not returned. This despite that I live only about 15 miles even less) away from them. I am not sure what they are all about, but if this is the way they respond, then I felt that it might be very difficult, if not impossible to get hold of them once the payments have all been made. So, I have pulled away from trying to reach out

this is not something i wish to do but feel the need to share my story , anyone in his right mind would and should stay away from this company . i was charged 2,700 for a suit that doesn't fit , the suit was made very poorly . the company and the number listed on their website refused to take my calls to make any changes. the rep harassed me with text messages arguing that the suit was especially made for my body and i should be happy with the result, he was more concerned about his commission check,,,,,, the sleeves are about 1inch shorter of what a suit ought to look like , the pants look like i am wearing diapers, and the tackiest thing of all was that they included an emilio zegnia tag on the suit that looked it came out of k mart :)))) the whole thing is a big scam , stay away there is nothing authentic about this company ,,,,,,,, the rep had no idea about fashion completely brainwashed by the company ''''''''' rules of success """"" any guys out there please make sure you shope around before you blow your money on this company ,i was taken for a ride make sure you don't ,,,,, btw they proceeded to charge me 2times on my credit card , make sure you research your product cheers and good luck :))))
