Loved this place! Had their Cookie Dough waffle and Deep South Biscuit Sandwich. The waffle was AMAZING, and the sandwich was really good but next time I would ask them to cook the yolk of the egg; it made the biscuit a little soggy.
My wife has a dairy allergy and they do not have a dairy-free menu, but they were cool with her bringing in her own food.
Staff were very patient with my kids and all-around fantastic.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Last time I was here was Aug 6, 2021. A week after my husband passed away. We were a large party (9) preparing to say goodbye after the funeral. So we were more concerned with each other, as apposed to the service. It was great. So I decided to give it another shot.
April 6,2023- party of one @ closing.
Seated at 1:35. Probably took me a couple minutes to decide. Received my Monterey Power omelet at 1:56. It's an egg white only omelette and honestly I did miss the yolks. It had a decent amount of flavor though. The sauce and green chilies helped. $15
I paid my bill and was done by 2:10. They were closed by then. Still Katie didn't make me feel rushed at all.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0Business owner information

Thanks for stopping by our cafe for breakfast, Theresa! We look forward to seeing you again.
Oct 28, 2022Previous reviewThere was 9 of us in our party so we did wait just for a bit. But not too long.
The curb appeal is okay. And parking is a little cramped. (Exiting is a nightmare)
Ambiance was quaint. I liked the decor. And those cute little coffee mugs just make me smile. We picked up a couple $20. Each.
As I said there was 9 of us, and I think we all ordered something different. We had a spinach omelette at the table, The southwest scrambler. Beignets. French toast, and fruit covered pancakes, fruit covered waffles. And that Mardi Gras omelette. So good. And kinda pretty too.
Service wasn't seamless but issues were corrected quickly, and the coffee flowed endlessly.
I enjoyed the food, and the company. - connie n.Downtown, Dallas, TX0101May 2, 2024
Best breakfast nook in Shreveport in my opinion, great customer service freshest home made dishes. Good tastes great and leaves you wanting more.

The food and service is impeccable! Everything that look good, tastes great. The lemon cake French toast is my favorite. However, the cake alone is excellent. It was worth the 40 minute wait!!!

Lovely brunch spot, if just a little bit pricey for the area. Service was very fast and very friendly (thanks Katie!), and everything was delicious! I had the hash brown benedict, which is so creative I'm not sure you can call it a benedict, but it was phenomenal. The portion was very large, and I left totally stuffed. The potatoes were also good, though they could have been a little crispier for my taste. I also had the Grand and Strawberry St. Germain mimosas, which were both delicious, if a little on the sweet side.
Over all, this is a great place to go for a nice brunch! There were also several folks with laptops working from booths, if that's what you need.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

We were the first in the door at 0700. Promptly ordered and over 30 minutes later they came out and told me they didn't have the creole sauce or whatever to make my order. Should've just left but we were hungry. Ordered something else and it was good. Neat looking new restaurant. I wasn't mad at the waiter and I could tell that she was frustrated with the back of the house. I kinda figured the manager might stop by and say sorry about that but it didn't happen.

The service was good, but the wait and the food were not. Just an average place that seemed a bit too expensive for the offerings.

When we checked in (there was a line), the young lady took our cell number to text when our table was ready. We received a message that we were on the wait list. After about a half hour, just what she said it would take, she stepped out the door and called our name? What was the point of the cell phone number?
Our water was really good, knew the menu back and forth. However, it appeared he was spread very thin, not all of his tables grouped in the same area. That being said our first round of coffee was there pretty quick, but he was so busy, I had to flag the hostess down to get a refill.
For the food- had the biscuits and gravy plate with the eggs over medium and sausage. The biscuits and gravy were served not cold, but not hot either. The eggs and sausage were hot. Biscuits were light, fluffy and very tender. The gravy despite the temp of the food was tasty. Would have been great if it was a bit warmer. While the sausage and eggs were fixed perfectly, the sausage had a sweet flavor I was unfamiliar with. If I go back, I will not get the sausage.
Over all the experience was average. Too expensive for frequent visits. Kudos to the hostess who replenished our coffee, and to Chris, our waiter-these 2 with such friendly natures and welcoming attitude may bring me back to try again.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Loretta, thank you for trying Another Broken Egg Cafe. We are very sorry to hear you were somewhat disappointed with your recent dining experience. We strive to serve nothing short of the truly exceptional, and we’re disheartened that on this occasion we did not succeed.

Sadly we didn't get to dine in like we planned to. We got called at the last minute while enjoying some Irish coffee.
We just moved to the area and was deciding on breakfast to kill time. Glad we chose this place even if it was for takeout.
We ordered the cinnamon roll french toast. My daughter gave it a 8 out of 10.
I ordered the Hey Lucy Omelette, it was great, I just wish they added more chorizos.
Hubs got the Mardi Gras Omelette and he thought it was divine, lol.
Thanks to the staff for being so kind and welcoming. Sorry, no photos this time, but next time for sure!
Did I mention the cleanliness of the establishment? I watched the staff disinfect the dinning table and chairs, and clean restroom, too!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

While it appears they tried to 'make things right' I don't believe they genuinely want to do that as they did not respond to my email (which I sent per their request in their response to my negative review).
Save yourself the disappointment and stay away from this place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Jul 3, 2023Previous reviewOne star is being generous. We've come here for brunch before and had positive experiences, however we will not be coming back.
We were seated promptly but that's where the service ended. After placing our orders, we waited an hour and still didn't get our food. Our waitress told us there were party tickets ahead of us and didn't see our food on the screen but would bring out the shareable portion of our order (the beignets). We waited and didn't get that either so decided to leave. Tables seated after us got their food and finished their meals.
Upon notifying her that we were leaving we were told our food was on the tray and ready. We paid for our drinks and left but given the subpar service I don't think we should've even paid for that.
As someone who works in this industry I am sympathetic to the challenges of a restaurant especially if it's busy, however this was not handled properly. There was no apology from the manager or offer to rectify the situation.
TLDR; The food here is not enough to compensate for the poor service. Go elsewhere for brunch or you'll regret coming here like we did.
