Americas Best Value Inn Prescott Valley

This is a difficult review to write. The reason I say that is because the staff was so kind, but these are things I would like to know before booking a stay here.
We requested a non-smoking room with a king size bed. As soon as we entered the hallway heading to our room, while all the doors had the no smoking sign on them, it reeked of old stale cigarette smoke. Perhaps at some point smoking was allowed in these rooms and it has seeped so deep into the walls and the carpet that the smell is a permanent fixture, as our room also had a faint cigarette smell. This might not bother some people, but I'm extremely sensitive to cigarettes smoke, even the smell.
Our room had some updates, such as some furniture and the floor, but it was not very clean. The floor was gray linoleum that looked/felt like it hadn't been swept or mopped in weeks. The white towels were thin and crispy, not appealing at all. The updates that had been done looked cheap, quick, and messy. The mattress was dreadful. It was a lumpy spring mattress set on a squeaky metal frame with no boxspring. Needless to say it was not a good night sleep. The white sheets and pillowcases were stained, the tub was yellow, and the separate components of the currents were outdated and didn't match. We didn't use the microwave or the mini fridge, but both looked old and outdated. The cost of our room was about $130, a little more after taxes and what not. I feel like it was over priced, and we will not be staying there again.

Hotel Tonight is not the same of the actual hotel. This is false advertising. This place is run down and lacking. I complained to the owner that the shower in the bathroom was not functional. I wasn't able to shower in the morning. Toilet seat was completely loose. Blow dryer was burnt and non functional. The lobby had a strong stench of Indain food. Owner was angry that I brought these items to his attention. I explained to him that he should check the condition of his rooms before he rents them out. If you're going to charge a pretty penny you should have a good experience. I didn't.

Beware this place has a sickening heavy odor of air freshener or some other cheap perfume.
The place has seen very hard times without being maintained.
There is a little bit of remodeling started.

Horrible! We checked in with a very rude front desk ladi - saw our room and demanded a refund. Rooms were filthy... stained dingy bedspreads. Floors were not swept. Dirty walls with something smeared throughout bathroom. Inside the refrigerator smelled like mold. I have never in my life walked into such a filthy hotel room. There were also maintenance workers coming in and out of hallway doors that kept starring at my 12 & 14 year old daughters. Clientele that we saw looked like tweakers. I felt like I caught a disease just walking into the building. Do not book here - not worth the cheaper price

It was our first time staying here and we have some pro's and con's. The price of the room definitely matches the quality. The room seemed cleaned but the entire hotel has a smell to it. The biggest con is that when we came in to check-in at 3pm on a Saturday, the lobby was wrecked. Most of the lights were turned off, a huge palette of supplies was sitting right in front of the front door, and it looked like they turned the lobby into a make-shift laundry room. There's pro's and con's to this place. May stay there again, May not.

Our check in was early afternoon, we arrived late at 10pm, the entire first floor reeked of cigarettes. We check in, get our room and walk in to find that the entire room hasn't been cleaned. I'm talking bed sheets everywhere, previous occupants trash still lying around. Returned to the front desk to let them know and to get a new room, the man told us he didn't have any kings available, I asked if we could get a discount since our room wasn't cleaned and we were taking a downgrade, he immediately said no.
Needless to say, we left. Were all dealing with covid and this place couldn't even bother to change the bed sheets.

Ewwwww. This place is is beyond gross!!! Front desk was super nice! But after that... our room was straight from 1976... everything was dirty and my room was straight up disgusting..

Woke up, and noticed my arm was kinda itchy. But didn't think a whole lot of it. Then as the hours went by after checkout, it's still itching, and there are definitely unmistakable bed bug bites. As someone who has actually had bed bugs for a long time being poor, this is actually a pretty traumatizing experience. I called the front desk, and let them know whatchad happened a d the guy actually laughed at me. I was completely respectful over the phone, and he laughed and hung up so he didn't have to actually take responsibility and either clean the room, or reimburse me for my experience and now possibly infecting all of my belongings with bed bugs. I'm completely disgusted with the reaction form the establishment. I would avoid this motel at all cost.

Water from the bathtub flooded my room!! All over the bathroom, by the door and sink and out to the bed! I told them and their response was,oh it happened again. Okay I'll tell them. My son slipped in the water on the tile when I went to get more towels and smacked his head. It was red/bruised with a knot on it. We found bugs in the drawers. Bathroom door wouldn't even shut! I could keep going.. my issues was even after u told them my son fell in the water and hurt himself they didn't care. Didn't offer a different room.. all they offered a ten dollar discount. Didn't help clean the water up that was so bad it went over my shoes!! I had to keep going back to ask for more towels!! Never again will I ever recommend this place or go back again!!!!!!! I have more pictures but it will only let me post one!

We went back later when the owner was there And He said that this was my fault and we didn't shut the shower curtain when we took a shower. I proceeded to tell him that I never took a shower! We ONLY took a bath. And I told him that there was previous water damage in the room. He then yelled at me to get out or he would call the cops. Told him to go ahead because I didn't absolute nothing wrong! Very very rude people.
