AMC Kent Station 14

Kent Station AMC is my new Go-To place to watch movies with my family. The inside is always clean and staff is friendly. Recommend if you are in the Kent/Federal Way area. Also lots of food options for dinning right outside the theater.

AMC Kent Station is a fine, standard movie cineplex in Kent Station. The biggest benefit it has is its inexpensive with plenty of parking. Beyond that it doesn't have much going for it.

Most of the time I come here due to an old movie being replayed. I love the larger screens and am always comfortable. The noise situation of hearing other movies or a passing train is very real and quite distracting. It isn't great but there's nothing the staff can do about construction decisions made years ago.

The bathrooms are often an utter disaster. Rarely can I walk in and select a stall - each need inspected to ensure it isn't super gross before committing. The countertops look like they belong to a water park. It is a messy experience.

Security, two bis guys had this yelling woman by the door but let her back into the lobby. I witnessed this at 4:10 pm. I missed the first 10 mins on The Hunger Games. There was no ticket taker either and only one gal at the admissions desk. I saw ither workers running around to other theaters after I got my prepaid tix scanned.
Why she was not forced out right way. I don't know. One Large Guy let her continue to Yell in the lobby distributing people by the S end. Luckily my theater was away from her.
Also The promised 10% off from buying an A list membership does not work for all Food Purchases as I expected. They said for the most expensive Large Combos.

AMC Kent Station is our go to for whenever anime movies come out in theaters and our go to whenever a time doesnt work out at our local theater.

Maintained theater, clean seats, decent staff, sound is loud, and the theater is dark for the movies. Seats are recliners. Popcorn still is good only for a duration of a movie and once its past an hour of the movie, the popcorn will be stale. Overall, will still continue to visit.

Dolby seats are not comfortable. The extra you are paying to see with Dolby is solely for the quality of the screen and sound. The Dolby seats recline to a super awkward and uncomfortable position. Your legs are a quarter way up and the back/ head part doesn't go down all the way. The seats don't allow you to lay and enjoy the movie. You're sat up right and the recliner holds your legs at a quarter angle. More comfortable to not use the leg recliner at Also seats are not heated.

The standard viewing seats are great, reclines to a comfortable position and more roomy. Those seats also heat on 2 temp settings. And the armrest in the middle can be put up for a more space if needed.

I've never had an issue with customer service or the bathroom being dirty. Everybody is pretty chill and the theatre is clean.

The food is good, but too salty for me. The service is good. The ambiance is entertaining. People look like they enjoy the concession and the show. Parking around this time is great.

As soon as I walked in the gal in the front asked me if I paid for my ticket , then proceeded to ask my party the same thing after I said we paid. She never asked to see my ticket either which she should have just done IF she felt we were LYING. Anyways we buy popcorn , get a refill on the popcorn and there was a long piece of HAIR in the popcorn !! How disturbing and gross. I'm actually pretty disappointed because we were super excited to come and watch the "wish" movie but the experience was HORRIBLE.
Probably won't be coming back the kent theater with my daughter anymore .

Very disappointed that the theater was closed when we showed up for our movie that was already paid for. Called requesting a refund and no one called back. Pretty shady way to run a business! I won't be returning again!!! Don't buy your tickets in advanced or on Groupon for this theater!

I live in Renton and we normally go to the Southcenter AMC. But when the movie we want isn't playing at an IMAX or Dolby Theater, we go to the AMC theater in Kent because all of their theaters have recliner seats!

I haven't had an issue with this AMC. It's def not the prettiest and the bathroom isn't the cleanest but the theaters are decent enough so I'm good with that!

This theater has the best seats anywhere. All theaters have recliner seats... except the imax which I found out the other day. Strange that the imax is the only one with no new reclining seats. I book movies here rather than AMC in Tukwila because of the comfortable seats!
