I haven't been to The Allentown Art Festival in a few years. It has grown so much! It took us 2 hrs to walk through the whole event. So much amazing Art ! I came here to find an outdoor shower that got damaged in our move back home. I found it! It really came in handy in Texas.
It was sort of by accident that we came here an hour early. Most vendors were already set up and way less people. No problem finding a parking spot. Fair like food. I loved walking around the buffalo street looking at the beautiful city streets and architecture. Check it out!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jun 11, 2023
Located in downtown Buffalo
It's a two day event, my stomach can only do one day, as It is filled with many food options! Many are Buffalo traditions!
Mostly crafts, but high end crafts and furniture
Fun place to people watch and of course dog watch
FYI do no bring your dog if the weather is hot
The street gets very warm and I didn't see bowls of water sitting around
Lots of fun!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 12, 2022
It's back! After a pandemic/Covid hiatus Allentown art festival returned with bells on. Or shall I say with bubbles. On the well designed art for 2022 in honor of our beloved bubble man on Allen street and Elmwood.
Many vendors, crowds, food including generous bags of kettle corn, and mostly quality artwork. One star less for two reasons: one, there were some (sorry) terrible guitar buskers and it seems they could have been asked to move on, they were distracting, and unpleasant to listen to and two, some of the artwork did not seem like the jury test to be accepted in the show was very particular. It almost seems like garden art could have a day of their own? Some tacky yard art, and things I wouldn't say are even art, but if art is in the eye of the beholder what is my opinion?
I purchased a couple of pieces of jewelry from artisans that used copper. I'm still thinking about some of the pottery I saw, beautiful and functional. Beautiful and memorable day for us! Welcome back.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Denise H.Buffalo, NY223821968Jun 12, 2022
With the Allentown Art festival weekend happening you know summer is officially here.I have been going since the 80's and really enjoy looking what each vendor has to sell, it's amazing works of art. From photography, painting, glass art, metal art, yard art, jewelry, purses, pottery and of course some yummy food for sale. It's such a fun event that's free and there's something here for everyone young to old to enjoy looking at in amazzement. The crafters are local plus come in from different countries and states to participate, so come on down, have a look and hopefully come away with a one of a kind piece of art.

Allentown Art festival is like a rite of summer, I really enjoy going every year since the 80's.I always enjoy looking for something new and unique to buy. They have so many artisans from so many states and countries, it's amazing. They sell metal art, yard art, purses, scarfs, jewelry, pottery , photography and paintings. There is something here for everyone to enjoy, plus it's free and you can also purchase food, my favorite is the kettle corn , I love munching while I'm walking.

A perfect event to enjoy with friends and family, on a beautiful sunny weekend. This year there are over 300 vendors. You can find items such as purses, garments, glassware, paintings, yard art and so much more. There is literally something for everyone, even if you are just walking around to enjoy the food vendors. You can not miss out, on coming down to the Allentown area and be amongst all the excitement.

When we were invited to this festival, we did NOT know that it would be this big and busy!
First of all, parking was a disaster because all of the street parking was taken. There were multiple private parking spaces that you can use for $10, but we were actually lucky to find Westminster Presbyterian Church, which provided parking for a $5 donation. Woohoo!
The art festival itself was amazing. There were a lot of vendors selling artwork, food trucks, food stands, and booths all over the place.
Some of our friends bought Buffalo-themed artwork and prints.
Husband and I ended up buying two really comfortable folding wooden rocking chairs!!
The only thing about the water here is that it's SUPER pricey. A bottle of water at the stands ranged anything from $2-4! We had to buy some because we were so thirsty but if you know you'll be down here, definitely bring your own water!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jun 16, 2016
Allentown Art Festival.
A rite of passage of you grew up in Buffalo. One of the largest such festivals in the US, vendors come from up and down the east coast for it. Some come every year, but there are some new ones every year too.
This year the weather was awesome for it. Not too hot, not too cold. Sunny. So it was packed. By 10 am. But that's ok. Most people were polite. There were a lot of dogs, which always surprises me, it's not really a dog friendly environment - hot pavement, tons of people, strollers, all sorts of other dogs etc.
The vendors cover everything from large lawn art to the tiniest ceramic vases. There are "make your own" scarf booths, which is cool to watch actually. People seeing handmade wooden beautiful kitchen utensils. Tons of photography. Lots of jewels, at all price points. And food. Tons of food. Mostly fried but there seemed to be one or two healthier options.
I noticed tons of parking in the area that was charging for parking. I guess you can't blame the locals for wanting to cash in on this yearly weekend event. The crush of people must be a hassle for them.Helpful 17Thanks 0Love this 12Oh no 0 - Jun 9, 2019
Another year of a Buffalo summer tradition. Crowds aren't too bad weather is absolutely gorgeous. Enjoying the walk taking alot of rests. LaNova pizza, canoli. Side stop at the Quarter restaurant on Virginia Place. A relatively new place with a New Orleans vibe. INteresting menus food wise and also libations.

Such a great event every year that brings the community together. The event goes down Delaware and Allen with local vendors lining the streets. Great variety of different goods to include artwork, jams, candles, clothes, kitchen accessories, games, garden decoration and animal treats. There are also food trucks and lots of food to purchase.
One of my favorite things is that local musicians set up shop in the streets or sidewalks and showcase their talents.
It's always a great time attending this event that is good for all types of people.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
