One word horrible, dirty, filthy and furniture from off the street. I took a shower with flip flops on, and walk around with shoes on, thank god I had blankets in the car

Words cannot describe the horrible time I've had during my stay in this festering cesspool. Airport Inn is billed on booking sites like expedia and hotwire as a convenient location near the airport, good for families and businesspeople. This could not possibly be farther from the truth. This dingy den of sin is a widely recognized "no-tell motel," whose amenities include effortless access to hookers and drugs.
There is no air conditioning in the lobby, elevator, or any of the hallways. This, combined with the crowd of unwashed and ill-mannered bums who hang out in the HO-tel's main area, causes the building to take on the aroma of a sweatsock that has been urinated upon, stuffed with rotten onions, and left in the sun for a thousand summers.
The elevators are almost consistently out-of-order. Even when they're functioning, it's a crapshoot as to whether or not you're going to get stuck. Even when they don't, they make sounds that could easily be heard in the background of any horror film. I am not a religious person, but I have spent the better part of my week praying to get out of the elevator alive.
The rooms have cockroaches that are roughly the size of small dogs. I doubt they've been cleaned since Nixon was in office. The pungent aroma of poor-quality marijuana and stale ethnic and/or deep-fried food lingers in the sweltering halls, much like the pimps and screamingly obvious streetwalkers linger out front. My television was broken, and when I asked them to fix it, they sent me a new air conditioner instead.
The service at the front desk ranges from Half-Asleep-and-a-Little-Cranky to Blatantly-Rude-And-Viciously-Surly. At one point, I had a business associate come to pick me up, and because I am a female and he is a male, one of the women at the front desk blatantly accused me of "turning a trick" in my room and threatened to have "security" put me out! I am an educated, family-oriented woman with a legitimate career so this was incredibly offensive to me.
I would not recommend this motel to my worst enemy. The best thing that could happen to it would involve a massive and devastating fire.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
