Ace Truck Service

We broke a spring hangar on our fifth wheel trailer coming east on I40. Ave was able to get us in immediately, welded the hangar back onto the frame, and got us back on the road in less than 2 hours.

Friendly folks, and they did a good job.

Like most trucking horror stories ... this one started with our CAT C15 SDP serial on a 2008 Peterbilt 386.

Running up flagstaff and going down the hill , the truck began randomly vibrating violently and the Jake stopped working.

The truck barely limped onto Gallup and this is where I was faced with a tough decision .... ACE truck service or J&J across the street. After some talk with the locals , most recommended ACE and that's what I went with and have no regrets.

Jasper ,who's the main tech quickly diagnosed the truck and ... it was a cracked head / cam combined with the intake valve actuator failure which is apparent in these later C15's.

The price is going to be higher than what you're used to back at home but it's not overboard and AJ the owner is a pleasure to deal with and he's an understanding person.

Ultimately ,the job was done fairly quick and this was not some 30 day nightmare that others have experienced at other shops in the area , Jasper was confident in his timing and it all worked out perfectly.

This guy charged me 13000 dollars when I went to pick up my truck drove it 9 miles and it quit on me took it back and they'd said motors bad and asked for 20000 more dollars total rip off I will be filing a lawsuit on them.credit card machine doesn't work either they are a rip off don't trust them

We had just had a radiator installed in another town some two hours away from Gallup and had lost the power in our turbo and barely made it into town. We arrived in our RV just at the edge of Gallup very late at night and stayed in the casino parking lot. I started looking for a qualified truck service and called Ace. It was only 7:15 am but AJ answered his phone. We explained our issue and he said to be there right when they opened at 8 am. We limped over there and they pulled the RV right into the bay. They said they would take a look and we left to grab some breakfast a few blocks away. Low and behold they called at 8:45 am to tell us it was fixed! Apparently the place who put the radiator in had not tightened things properly so the turbo was not getting the airflow needed. Thank you Ace truck and AJ for getting us back on the road in an hour!!!

Quality work, great service, brought in our motorhome for oil change and new batteries, we were supposed to be there at 9am, but didn't get there till 1, because our batteries were dead when we went to leave, they were great about it, took our motorhome right in, despite their full shop and got us back on the road in 90 min, they also found a issue with our coolant reservoir, that we didn't even realize, easy fix thank goodness, I would highly recommend Ace Truck Repair Shop

This Truck Service is a joke. When you call them they are really friendly, but after that they are waiting first opportunity to stab you in your back.

This experience is something I wish that never happened or to forget ASAP

When I came in, first I wait almost an hour to be served, in mean time I was looking for the door bell witch is hidden on the wall with a poster that you had to push if you wish to bee served faster. What a joke.

After a too expensive quote is given and canceling all further actions we decided that is cheaper to tow our Truck back home and repair it than do it there... They kicked us out and all further friendliness and profesionality disappeared.

If you need something after hours only thing that you can do is to address to one of towing companies who have their keys and they will open you a gate but only for the money. They accept only cash.

Found ourselves stranded on I40 in our deisel motorhome and searched the web for a repair shop. Called ACE based on Yelp review and so happy I did. AAA towed us to them then AJ (service manager) took over. They went out of their way to get us fixed and back on the road. Very friendly. Very clean and professional shop. Best of all they were all certified and knew exactly what to do. Thanks guys.

I wish there were more stars to give. These guys are beyond amazing. I broke down, called them and tow truck took me there. They arranged to hot shot my parts so I wouldn't be stuck all weekend without my RV and stood behind every word. We need more people like these in this world! Thank you Ace!!

Driving our 1977 " vintage" airstream argosy we managed to blow it's "vintage" transmission near the petrified forest 60 miles out of Gallup, NM. FORTUNATELY we had Good Sam Insurance which after some negotiations set us up with a great tow service that put us in touch with AJ @ Ace. AJ took our call after hours and was an angel in disquise. He assesed the situation, gave us.an honest and fair estimate of what we can realistically expect, and kept us abreast of what was happening with our vehicle. Unfortunately, the transmission was not delivered to them (Ace) in time for our return home so we left it in Gallup. On the bright side, this allowed us another great train trip up to NM from L.A. and AJ even picked us up at the train station! We were able to visit Albequerque, Santa fe and Taos and Argosy is running like a charm. Thank you ACE and AJ for turning what could have been a scarey experience into a great one. See you when we need our engine overhauled...
