Great food and service DOESN'T EVEN really express how amazing our experience was today.
Sweet milkmaid burger to die fir! Aoli, fries.., ahhhh! We started with a brunch item
Shrimp avocado toast MAN! Filling, generous portions . Old fashioned's..., THE BEST we've ever had, no joke.
Wyatt knows his bourbon, they have there privately made just for coppercow bourbon!
Tip very well..., Wyatt LOVES WHAT HE does and he insists on making your experience memorable. Super awesome guy.

SOME of the food gets 2 stars on this visit. The cauliflower appetizer was really good. The truffle fries were decent as well. The burgers were like hockey pucks. No amount of au jus can reconstitute a hamburger that was well well WELL done when we asked for medium well. Insult to injury was the rain that came with all the umbrellas that were sitting in a closed pile.
Unmapped, across the street, has ALL of their tables covered because they saw the skies. As the rain started we watched them cover most tables except ours. I'll never come to this place again. As someone who travels a lot for business, this place has really poor business acumen. I'm not sure why they gave umbrellas to most guests except us.... I see 4 umbrellas not being used but I'm still getting wet while other guests have an umbrella. It's not an issue of umbrellas or bases to put the umbrellas. We simply were not selected to stay dry while most others were.
Lastly, I'm sure you're wondering why I'm so harsh to a place "just trying to make it during COVID." The biggest issue is that they had 5 servers/runners/ cleaners for 6-7 tables. It's pure laziness and the staff watched this transpire. Even in the rain, I sat for over 10 minutes to get my final check because my server wanted to run 3 others at the same time. Mind you, the other were dry while I was still getting rain in my beer, my hockey puck burger and my fries.
Stay away from this place... hockey pucks and selective service.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kolton L.Garland, TX1264153Oct 28, 2021
Excellent dining experience! I ate big with 6 burgers to try the whole menu! Every burger was unique.
Aesthetic 4/5
The inside of Copper Cow is warm, inviting and feels like a true cut of Minnesota tradition. Plenty of copper accents with complimentary music!
Burgers 4/5
They were great really! Some of the better burgers I've had! The meat is all locally farmed and you can immediately tell. These burgers are juicy and cooked to perfection. Their take on the normal burger is quite fun too. They offer plenty of exciting and unheard of toppings. However, the bun was very, what I would call almost stale. The fries were good!
Service: 5/5
Our waitress was a treat. A great, honest and helpful person. I truly value people like her. I just wish I could remember her name!
Overall, it's 100% worth a quick stop!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 9, 2020
I've been meaning to check out Copper Cow for a long time now. I'm way behind the game when it comes to west metro "must-trys", but I'm forcing myself to venture out of my St Paul bubble.
Sweet Odin's Raven this place is great and the half hour drive was beyond worth it! We showed up during the brunch menu, which looks fantastic, but not ideal when I came for the signature burger
Shhhhh, you didn't hear this from me, but if you ask nicely they can make you the Copper Double during brunch hours--two local beef patties, american cheese, copper sauce, grilled onions, pickle, lettuce, served on a brioche bun. Upgrade to a side of truffle fries w/ roasted garlic aioli if you love yourself
A few more trips across the river is in my future!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 9, 2020
Let me start off by saying that when a place makes so much of their food items in house, you are in for a good meal. Copper Cow makes their buns, pickles, chips, and sauces in house and you can really taste the difference that makes in flavor. I love that they have burgers geared toward adventurous and experimental eaters, plus a build-your-own option for those who like things a bit simpler. I really enjoyed my build your own burger. I highly recommend the chips and carmelized onion dip, and the mac and cheese bites.
Now, onto the drinks. I had the Unexpected Company and I have never tasted a cocktail quite like this. It was sweet and spicy, and all around delicious. They have a lot of inventive cocktails on their menu. And then there's the boozy shakes. We had the Americana. I've had "adult" milkshakes before, and I can say that Copper Cow knows how to do it right. You get a GOOD amount of alcohol in your boozy shake. The Americana was chock full of cookie dough bits. It was amazing.
I would recommend making a reservation before you go. It was very busy and it's a relatively small restaurant. That being said, service was FAST. Apps and food both came out within ten minutes of ordering. Most restaurants don't even have that good of time even when they aren't busy, so kudos to Copper Cow for being on it. Great experience and can't wait too go back!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 2, 2020
Minnetonka's newest burger place, located right next door to Minnetonka's oldest burger place (Gold Nugget), found in the former DQ building space.
Burgers are the dining calling card, but it's also a full bar specializing in boozie shakes. We skipped the booze on this New Year's Day. But we had four different burgers in our group plus an app.
Our app was the Mac and cheese bites. Just like the name implies, it really is Mac and cheese put into bite size, deep fried morsels. Served with a delicious sriracha aioli.
Pictured is my "donut burger". It's a burger served between two old fashioned, glazed cake donuts. The burger is topped with cheddar, bacon, and a fried egg. It was such a unique combination of sweet and savory that I had to try it. I dug it. Maybe a bit overpowering on the sweet as I found myself pulling out the last bite of burger and leaving some donut behind. But you've gotta try it once.
My family had the french burger (Brie and French fried onions), the bean/beet veggie burger, and a plain build your own burger. No complaints at our table.
Minus a star for homemade ketchup or off brand. My taste buds are so entrenched in Heinz flavor that I can't tolerate others. Even within Heinz range of products, if it's not the original, I'll pass.

@coppercowkitchen has some new menu items so me and my brother @j.gleazzy went and tried out the new wings. They were a nice Sticky Korean BBQ with a ton of flavor served with gochujang dipping sauce.

I love this place. I usually go with a girlfriend when I need a good cocktail and a burger fix. So many options on the menu or you can ask them to make whatever you want and they will! This time we went for a family outing. My son is growing like a weed and needs more calories than I can apparently provide at home! He made his own double burger and loved it! My daughter made her own meal with side dishes and a malt. I had the Sweet Milkmaid burger with figs, chèvre and onion marmalade - salty and sweet combination perfection. Husband went for the Swiss forager which he said was great! The vibe is fun. The temperature of the restaurant was inexplicably cold the night we were there. And although service is friendly and informative, it's a bit slow. Hence 4 stars instead of 5. But love this place and will go back again soon!

We went here last Friday night. The place was hopping & there was a 45-minute wait. So that had me even more excited to eat here!
The service was great. We sat outside on the patio.
For an appetizer, we ordered the Brussels sprouts. They were the best part of the meal. They arrived hot and crispy.
We each ordered a different burger from the menu. The size of the burger patty was very small in comparison to the size of the bun, and the toppings. The burger itself wasn't very warm.
I thought the food was very expensive compared to the quality and quantity. Also, $15 for a "boozy milkshake" is a joke. A drink shouldn't cost as much as a meal.
The fries and chips were mediocre. Both are served with VERY small dipping sauces.
I wouldn't come back, as there are way better burger places close by to me.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 17, 2021Updated review
Joey Jason is the best bartender on the planet and will treat you like gold tequila sunrise new drink recipe is incredible along with every other drink on the menu. Nashville hot chicken & BYOB was fantastic as always. I personally wouldn't order the lobster toast again (wasn't much lobster to begin with) but still can confirm this place is fantastic when you order the right meal. I wish they'd bring back the shrimp roll though because that might've been one of the best meals I've ever had. A nice sunny day, a bit of slower service but worth the wait for most of our food
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 25, 2020Previous reviewAwesome service, awesome seating, awesome food. Would go back 1,000x over to try something new. We all loved our meals! Brunch supposedly excels, but this shrimp roll I got was honest to god amazing. Only thing I wouldn't suggest is the donut for dessert. It's more like cake and not up to my donut standard, otherwise unreal.
