Q:
Why did Arby's close? I know a Jolibee is going in there but why did Arby's close? They had plenty of business. The drive thru was always busy.
A:
The last employees were jerks and acted like how they wanted just "because of covid" as the universal f.u. answer to everyone. Especially with not allowing carryout anymore killed their own business. The drive thru was busy because they were slow… more

What's going on with the Arby's in Alhambra??? Just when I wanted to go try the new Prime Rib Cheesesteak. I heard that it was closing down to become a Jollibee. Has anyone heard or can confirm if any of this is true?

Background On Visit: Heard many great things about Arby's and heard that this location was closing to make room for Jolibee... so I decided to try 3 items.
Location/Parking: Located in the same plaza as 99 Ranch and GameStop. Plenty of parking.
Payment: Due to the coin shortage, it would be appreciated if y'all pay with exact change or pay with credit card.
Service: Service was good. Ordered my food through the drive thru. The staffer that took my order was friendly, attentive, and gave me some great recommendations for a first timer.
Sando Of Choice: Tried the beef and chedder, roast beef, and a buffalo chicken slider. Very delightful to eat. Meats were flavorful and moist. Bread was nice and soft.
Sauce Of Choice: Their horsey (horseradish) sauce was delicious. Loved how mild tasting it was and blended nicely with the meats.Helpful 25Thanks 0Love this 26Oh no 0 - Clare R.Alhambra, CA053Oct 27, 2020
I love Arby's, and this location was excellent. Nice people, friendly service, excellent food, comfy, clean facilities. Now I see it's "permanently closed"?!! I'm devastated! This is horrible, horrible news. I pulled through the drive-through seeing no information, so I drove around to look at the front door, and saw a note taped there. While I was sitting there, several more cars pulled through looking for dinner. I just don't understand this!
The note says the nearest Arby's still open is in Upland, but I'm sure the one in Hollywood is closer. Still... it's so much further away when you live in Alhambra like I do! :(Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 14, 2018
You know, growing up as a kid, we would go to Arby's a lot, and probably because there weren't to many Mc Donalds and Jack in the box's around yet. Unfortunately the two closes Arby's to me (Covina & El monte) have since closed and are now just a childhood memory.
The only ones that I know of, that is close enough to visit is in Brea, Hollywood and this one in Alhambra. So whenever I'm in this part of town I try to stop by.
So a great alternative to eating than at another burger joint, or taco stand. This place is nice, clean, and the staff is pretty nice and attentive.
Was going to get my usual beef & cheddar sandwich, but saw the Greek gyro, so I had to try it. Not to bad, flavor was good, just wish it was a little bigger. Should of gotten the 2 for $6 deal, but what the hell, you live and you learn.
BTW - If your up to the challenge, they have a secret menu item called the meat mountain. It's piled high with every meat that they have on the menu, cost over $10, but worth a try.
So with the great tasting food, and friendly staff, 4 stars for this place.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Jun 27, 2018
My old Arby's disappeared off the planet many years ago from my city. Packed up and vanished.
When I walked in the door, I noticed that this Arby's is much cleaner, but I missed my old Arby's.
Service was on par and my roast beef dip and fries with cheese and bacon and sour cream on it sure filled the spot.
Roast beef sandwich with cheese was fresh and tasty.
But not as healthy a food as my doc wants me to munch on.

BF and I have been talking about getting Arby's in forever, but were always lazy to venture out because there is no location that's close by. Alhambra was the nearest one.
While we were debating this weekend on where to pick up food to go due to the stay at home order, we remembered all the TV ads we saw and decided to make the drive to Alhambra. I downloaded the Arby's app before we left the house to see what they have and was disappointed at the very bare bones app. You can't order through there and the navigation through the menu was not intuitive. I mean, they showed their fish sandwich and gyro on the featured tab, but it was nowhere to be found in the categories. It wasn't even until we got in the drive-thru that I saw they have more than one fish sandwich. Not per the app!
So there was a special deal where you can get 2 sandwiches for $6 and the three choices are the crispy chicken, crispy fish, and the beef 'n cheddar. We got one crispy chicken sandwich (hold the mayo), one crispy fish sandwich (tartar sauce on the side), and two beef 'n cheddar sandwiches. They had the limited time mint chocolate shake flavor so we ordered a medium one with no whipped cream ($3.39). FYI, no Android pay, so pay with credit card.
When we got home, we found some discrepancies in our food. First off, we could tell they had added whipped cream to our shake and then scraped it off because there were still some cream on the top of our drink and some whipped cream coating the outside of the cup, making it sticky. Second, they left the tartar sauce on the fish sandwich. I understand if they didn't get this down, but when ordering they repeated our order with the adjustments, so I'm not sure how they missed it. It wasn't busy either with just one car in front of us.
Taste-wise, the shake was delicious and it's topped with small pieces of Andes mint chocolate. Side note, did you know Andes is owned by the same company as Tootsie rolls? I didn't know until I was looking at Arby's menu online and saw the trademark disclaimer at the bottom. Anyways, out of the sandwiches, the beef 'n cheddar was my favorite. It might have been the onion bun, or the thinly sliced roast beef, or the oozing cheese, but it was all delicious. I found the fish sandwich and chicken sandwich lackluster in comparison. Fish wasn't crispy at all. Oh yea, and the Arby sauce they have? It's a combination of ketchup and barbecue sauce. It sounded great, but the taste wasn't. I'd rather stick to just ketchup or barbecue sauce separately.
If I'm back, I'd stick with the beef 'n cheddar and a shake. They have a Jamoca (coffee + chocolate) flavor I'm curious to try. But I'd double check my order before leaving to make sure my order is right.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Mar 2, 2020
This place is poorly run. Management is lacking and/or absent.
The lady who took our order at noon on 3/1/20 was coughing and admitted she did not feel well.
SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN WORKING!
Ordered 2 "crispy fish" sandwiches for $6.
They were not at all crispy and did not resemble any photos in Arby's ads.
How regrettable!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 59944887849Nov 28, 2019
I haven't eaten here in years. I was on a chicken sandwich mission to try out the latest craze. They offered two chicken sandwiches for $6 so I ordered the crispy and buffalo sandwiches. They both were very good but I wasn't too crazy about the buffalo one. It was like a big buffalo chicken wing and it was good but not great flavor wise.

Not open as of September 5, 2020. Nothing updated on google or yelp in regards to current hours. Drove thirty minutes to get here and pretty disappointed.
