We had a great stay here. The first night we were in a cabin without a bathroom but the second night we switched to a cabin that had one Anna's it made all the difference! Nice that we could do laundry there and it would be a great place to see stars of the moon wasn't out. They were very friendly and let us switch cabins early. Much appreciated! We highly recommend this place. The only suggestion that I have is to hi m Dim the lights a little at night in the laundry area. Hard to get back to sleep after going to use the facilities in there at night. Thank you!

Cute little rv park. But the spaces are not very wide. If you have a rv like mine that has slideouts on both sides, you may want to find another park. It was tricky maneuvering to get parked so that all my slides and my stairs could come out. And I was still unable to get to my outdoor kitchen. Forget about putting any chairs or other outdoor furniture out. Other than that, It was very clean and nice.

The location is perfect! Close to Circle D, 4th Street Pub, and Escalate Outfitters. We rode our ATV's right from the resort to Hole in the Rock Road, Hells Backbone and other areas.

We just pulled in here and were disappointed that there was no signage out front to direct us in the correct driveway. We ended up coming in thru the exit way on the back street. All the food trucks out front were a distraction to where to turn in.

Because the BLM campsites are usually sold out and the permit offices for back country camping are usually closed by the time I get to them, I am usually left trying to find other alternatives for accommodations. There are not many options near Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. The town of Escalante is your best bet, and, while they do have several options, a surprising amount for a town with a population around 1,000, there are on a whole not ideal unless you have some money to spend.
That all being said, I found Canyons of Escalante RV Park, and really enjoyed me stay! The location is perfect for exploring the National Monument and other surrounding areas, and is walking distance from most the "hot spots" in town.
The layout divides the RV Park from an area shared by tent spaces and cabins. I stayed in the cabin, and it was clean, comfortable, and equipped with a space heater, air conditioning, and extra blankets. It had a nice little front patio with chairs, and a fire pit out front. All the tent spaces and cabins have fire pits. The front office sells firewood as well. The cabin also had a couple plugs available.
The restroom and shower facilities are shared and are a very close walking distance from the cabin and tent area, as well as a part of the RV area. The first room in the facility is a laundry area, and the restrooms can be accessed from their with a key. The key access was a plus for me since I was a female travelling alone and so I felt a bit more secure using the restroom and shower area. They were clean, and had plugs available.
The staff is very nice and welcoming! I arrived late, past opening hours, and they accommodated me and made sure I was able to have access to my accommodations. The next day they were friendly and spent time providing information and maps of the surrounding area.
The tent area is somewhat close together, so not a lot of privacy, and there are no big shade trees, but car access is very close. Every cabin has it's own up close parking space as well.
I highly recommend this place.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Josefin F.Stockholm, Sweden18157152Jul 15, 2017

I believe we stayed in one of the newer cabins. There was a full bed and pull out twin in our cabin. There is a bathroom, but no shower within the cabin (which is explicitly stated). There is a "outhouse" next door with showers and additional bathrooms. Plenty of nice and soft blankets were supplied! The outdoor area was nicely arranged with places for a campfire.

We reserved two tent sites at this RV park and were so pleased with our stay. The sites are huge and because the park is very small (only two rows of other RVs, and about 5 little cabins), it was blessedly quiet at night. Even though the park is right on Hwy 12, there is literally no highway noise. The park has a lovely updated building containing a dishwashing sink, 5-6 washers & dryers and very nice & clean men's & womens showers and restrooms. All very clean and tidy. The rates are very reasonable and we couldn't be happier.

We stayed in very nice large tent spots which had water and fire pits, with tables and bbqs in a nearby common area. Park is small and very quiet at night. We enjoyed the gorgeous bathroom/shower rooms as well as the dishwashing sink and laundry facilities. Overall a great little park at a terrific price!
