How have I been sleeping on Third Turn Oldham Gardens?!?!
For my birthday, I finally checked off checking out this fun spot, and I can't wait to go back.
And in honor, I wanted to definitely send along a #ThankYouThursday kudos to TTOG!
TTOG is an easy drive from Louisville in Crestwood, just up the road from Yew Dell Botanical Gardens.
And ample outdoor beer garden space TTOG has in spades!
You want a fire pit? There are several!
A cozy corner for in my case my kids to play in and not (hopefully) annoy other patrons? Sure thing!
A covered event space? Here ya go!
Outdoor bars? Yep!
The OK to bring dogs and kiddos (as long as they're well behaved)? You got it!
My only wish is that TTOG was in Louisville. I would be there all the time.
TTOG has several Third Turn beers on tap, as well as some other drinks. On the night we went you could get boozy or not hot apple cider.
It also has some delicious food. I ordered the brisket grilled cheese -- perfection on a fall night! The pretzels, chips and Brussels sprouts were also faves among our group.
I'm so excited to return, maybe on another crisp fall night or in the spring especially.Helpful 8Thanks 1Love this 7Oh no 1 - Jul 31, 2023
Went for bingo night of all things. I loved this spot. It's a converted nursery that now serves beer. Just a cool place with a good outside vibe.
It's bar service only and they have two different places for drinks and two places to order food (which was good on its own).
If you're in Oldham, definitely worth checking out.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 4, 2022
We had a wonderful evening at 3rd Turn last night. I had a few delicious ciders (Elderberry and Peach Apricot), and some scrumptious pizza with pulled pork on it! We love the atmosphere at 3rd Turn with all the outdoor seating, plus being dog friendly is a bonus!

Really fun unusual place with good drinks and cool atmosphere. Huge outdoor hangout areas for large parties. Live band was good and food was decent. It was busy and the lines for drinks and food were a little long.

I'm so thankful to have a place like this in Oldham County. The location is so cool, if you haven't been you must go! it has the bones of an old greenhouse (covered in beautiful wisteria) turned into a beer garden, it's the perfect spot to relax after work. There's tons of parking and seating, They even have covered areas so you can enjoy no matter the weather.
The beer selection is huge! If you're not a beer drinker (like myself) don't worry because they have adult slushees, rotating flavors but always delicious. They also offer mead, which is honey wine, in multiple flavors as well. If you haven't tried mead I highly recommend trying their orange blossom and the PB & J mead, sounds weird but it's pretty great.
They also serve food. They've recently updated their menu and added tacos so we had to go try them out. You can buy a single taco for $6 or 3 for $15. I had a general Tso taco that I enjoyed, good flavor profile but it left me wanting more chicken. I also got a fish taco, I thought the flavor of the fish was great but it was topped with LONG piece of cabbage that I couldn't bite through. I think it would have been better finely chopped. Hubby got the veggie taco, he wasn't impressed said veggies lacked seasoning and the gyro taco which he said was pretty good. I'm not a fan of lamb so I passed on trying it. We also had the pretzel and beer cheese, which was the highlight of the meal.
Before COVID we celebrated my moms birthday there with a group of friends. We were able to bring in our own cake and get a large table for us all. This is a great place for a big group of friends to hang out. So grab some friends and head out to OC for some pretzels and beer!
PSA: Make sure you have a designated driver.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jordan M.Louisville, KY7820246Jun 6, 2023
3rd turn is the ultimate patio hangout. Their drinks are good and the ambiance is amazing. It's so beautiful. It's connected to the botanical gardens but the space is huge and great for large groups. Next time you're looking for an outdoor hang out or happy hour I suggest taking the little bit of drive and checking out third turn.

3rd Turn is seemingly built for the requirements of social distancing. Having repurposed a nursery with multiple greenhouses, there are many options for seating including open air picnic tables, gaming areas, and no need to crowd up.
The service at the ordering stands (no table service that I saw) was excellent and all the locations are connected so no need to close a tab just because you've moved greenhouses.
The beer selection was good and the flavors were excellent! There are several in-house brews as well as a host of guest taps.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Corey F.Crestwood, KY07Oct 16, 2023
Great place for locals to hang out and have a nice relaxing atmosphere. Good drink choices, and very comfortable space. I like to bring my dog and kids when outdoors is nice; tables are good for bringing your own board games and be chill with friends and families.

I personally don't drink, but my best friend does and loves coming here so I often join her! The atmosphere is great inside and out (and over by the Meadery as well). Everyone that works here is kind and they often offer samples of the drinks! Most recently, we came and hung out by the Meadery and had a great experience. It was my best friend's birthday and the employee working the Meadery let her and the rest of our group sample several flavors and even gave her a full size drink on the house for her birthday! In the past, we have also come during Oktoberfest and had a great time with all the activities they had going on.
They also serve food which I would say we like about 75% of the time. Overall, I think this spot has something for everyone and would recommend! Plus you get to support several local businesses in one spot.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aleigha H.Eminence, KY082Oct 4, 2023
Food is gross and way overpriced. My fiancé got the brisket grilled cheese- very small portion of meat, it was just a overpriced grilled cheese. I got the wings which lacked juiciness and weren't tender. The drinks are different and the bourbon slushes lack alcohol. I drank 3 of them and never got any sort of buzz.
