The thought of sitting outside and listening to live music while enjoying a refreshment and meal and overlooking the golfers as they come in on 18, is very appealing and something we have done many times. This is San Juan Creek Golf Course. The atmosphere is the draw but the service on whole is severely lacking. Whether they fail to train their servers or the servers simply do not care, that was the last time we will visit that place as we will spend our dinner and entertainment dollars elsewhere. If they don't care why should we. Normally they are slow at returning to the table and asking if you need anything so you are forced to go to the bar to ask and only to be greeted by a scowling looking gentlemen that makes you feel uncomfortable for bothering him. However today while they had paid entertainment, for what one could only assume is to attract people to come listen and eat/drink, we arrived with only 3 other tables being occupied (so that left 5-6 empty). As we sat and watched as 2 different server walked out and ask the other tables how everything was, they completely ignored us and made no attempt to even say hello. And before you say well maybe they were busy, each of the two servers at one point we're doing nothing but standing looking and casually walking around. So the point is there was no hustle and bustle going on. So for 15 minutes we sat and tried to get even someone to look into our direction, nothing. Upon going to the bar to nervously ask the bartender if anyone was going to bother to even greet us, once again his permanently soured looking response (after multiple visits I am convinced this is his normal attitude) all I got was him looking out and saying where are you sitting. So I proceeded to tell him the very rude and unprofessional server has chosen to ignore us and walked by us 3 times without even a hello or welcome or even a kiss my @$$, which would have been an improvement . I said this is the last time I am coming here for this $hitty service. Not sure he heard me as he had turned. I walked back to the table and gathered our things and left. And again not even an attempt to apologize and try and win the day and a client. They did nothing....because they simply do not care. If the business properly trained them, then they should be fired, immediately. It is hard enough to get people to spend their entertainment dollars with them so to treat clients like this is horrible. I feel bad for the musical entertainment as I know they also work off tips. But with service like that they may want to consider playing elsewhere where the clientele is welcomed and treated better.
