This was perfect - one of those obvious moments in life where I'd hurt myself training and thought "hey! I've officially got pain in every quadrant of my body, maybe it's time to do something about that". Skye REALLY knows his stuff - he fixed what I went in for (sciatica - ya, I'm old) and found a handful of other issues to fix. I won't wait long to head in again for a tune up.
Like many things, the key to maintaining comfort and maximum range of motion is maintenance and consistency.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chloe S.Kitsilano, Vancouver, Canada02Jan 12, 2024
I had a bucccal facial massage from Chantelle. It was horrible.
I've had many buccal face massages in the past & this was by FAR the worst I have ever had. I had to pay for parking so I arrived at 4:05, she proceeded to do a 10 minute ( consultation ) unnecessary. So this cuts into our one hour. She than finishes the appointment 5 minutes early. That's 20 minutes of our one hour appointment gone. I paid 200$ for a 40 minute sub par facial. I feel so scammed. I spoke with the ladies at the counter & Chantelle lied to them & said she only cut 5 minutes of our appointment, she also used the excuse of having another client coming in so she had to finish the massage before 5pm.. I left the clinic at 515 & in that time there were no other customers...The massage itself was painful & felt useless. I could have given myself a better facial massage at home. The products she used also stung my face. She was condescending in demeanour as well. Please avoid this place. Massive scam.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Ashleigh,
We truly value the time you've taken to share your thoughts with us publicly. Your feedback is invaluable, and we're committed to addressing any concerns you may have.
Upon reviewing your recent visit, we noticed that it didn't meet your expectations, which has prompted us to reach out to you. With over 30 visits to our establishment, we understand the significance of consistency and satisfaction in your experience.
While we recognize your familiarity with our practice, we'd like to emphasize the importance of each new interaction, especially when meeting a new practitioner like Chantelle. It's essential for her to fully grasp your needs and preferences to ensure a tailored and effective session. That's why she asked if you would like to go through all the processes and you agreed. Understanding your skin type and concerns is pivotal for our estheticians to deliver the best possible service.
We'd also like to clarify that the products Chantelle utilized during your session are consistent with those used by our other practitioners in previous appointments.
Regarding appointment timing, we adhere to a 15-minute gap between sessions to ensure adequate preparation and a seamless transition for all our clients. Even if a client doesn't arrive promptly, this buffer period allows us to maintain our commitment to punctuality and quality of service.
We're eager to address your concerns and find a resolution that aligns with your expectations. Please feel free to reach out to us via email or phone (604 633 0998) so we can engage in a constructive dialogue.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead.
Warm regards,

Comparing to treatments I receive here and elsewhere, this should be right. And also it is ethically right that I shouldn't change review because business give me a call to give me a feedback on my review or negotiate about my review.
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 9, 2020Previous reviewLove their massage and acupuncture sessions. It helped me with my aches and pains. Definitely recommend their facial acupuncture and facial contour massage as well! The fine lines under my eyes are less noticeable and my face is much symmetrical.
However, I'm quite unhappy that it didn't go as well as I hoped when I booked both my facial acupuncture and facial contour massage appointments with Hydra Facial. When I booked facial acupuncture with Hydra Facial, I didn't get the Hydra Facial. Instead, I got hydration facial. I assumed the change in therapists got a misunderstanding but I did pay the extra $60 for it. On my facial contour massage, I mentioned I added Hydra Facial to it. I got to experience the Deep Cleanse, Peel, Extract part of the Hydra Facial. I asked about the Infusion step of the Hydra Facial and it was explained to me that the massage helped with the infusion of the serums. I can understand that. On both occasions, I felt that since I paid extra $60 for Hydra Facial, I should get the whole process of Hydra Facial. If not, I should be charged less than $60 then.
I feel Hydra Facials are probably a better Add On to their Day Spa Facials than their Medi Spa Facials. There might be some difficulty due to conflicting procedures. - Stephen R.Edmonton, Canada0203Mar 11, 2023
Wow - went here for the first time and had perhaps the best most thorough massage ever from Sky. The place is nice and clean, and it's priced very reasonably. Consider me a regular now!!

I started seeing Ahmadreza (Adam) a few months back and it was a game changer. I've seen many massage therapists in the past and never really felt their treatments to be very helpful. My co-worker insisted I try out Adam, and not knowing what osteopathy was and not expecting much from the treatment, I was absolutely amazed by how I felt after a half hour treatment. Adam knew exactly which muscles and ligaments to work on and many that I didn't know needed any work. The stretches were so deep and relaxing, without it being painful. Honestly, I left Yaletown Wellness feeling so much lighter and more relaxed, and have been seeing him since. My advice is to try just once.

I went to Yaletown wellness for acupuncture and while I was there I saw the sign outside advertising their facial threading. There is one other woman in the lower mainland offering this service and I had been hoping someone else might come around. I was thrilled. I chatted with Melanie a bit about the procedure during my acu session and booked an appointment for consultation on my way out.
The next week I was back. Melanie and her assistant went over the treatment with me thoroughly explaining all the pros and cons. I was sold on it before I walked into the room but it was still nice to hear more about it.
Melanie trained in Korea and the process they use there can not be beat. They are the gold standard in beauty as we all know now!
I went for my first appointment and after threading half of my face Melanie asked me to look in the mirror and see if I was happy or if I wanted more volume in my cheekbones. Let me tell you I am the most indecisive person alive. I wanted my look to be subtle so that not everyone would notice, but I wanted to be able to really see the difference myself. Melanie could tell I was having a difficult time deciding and suggested she finish both sides as they were and I could come back a week later to add more at no additional cost if I decided the results were not extreme enough. Perfect!
I took longer to recover than I expected. Two weeks later there was still a bit of a bruised feeling when I would touch my cheekbones. The clinic was happy to accommodate my schedule and allowed me to push my follow up appointment back twice.
I just went back yesterday for my second appointment. Melanie is a wizard! My treatment gave me exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a more pronounced cheekbone and was hoping to smooth out my nasolabial fold lines (the line from the corner of the mouth to the nose). I feel like I look 5 years younger! (I'm 33) she really took her time to listen and make sure I was happy. That really is her main goal, for you to leave satisfied.
Now as far as pain goes. Melanie applied a topical numbing cream and injected lidocaine. The lidocaine is the worst part. It stings. A lot. When she inserts the needles and thread you can feel it and hear it *cringe* but the pain is mostly minimal. I am a wimp but I would do it again.
Pictures are immediately before and immediately after.
Thank you Melanie for such a beautiful job and for your time, patience and reasurance!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

It was wonderful experience !!:)!!
I had Acupuncture with Melanie and massage with Songyi Kim !!
First . I am very afraid of needles. So I asked to Melanie about pain, bleeding and infection. Thank you very much for your kind smile and answering with a smile every time, despite several questions.
It did not hurt at all, she made me more comfortable.
And i had massage with songyi Kim
She has a tremendous power in her little body.
I felt the tension of the muscles slowly releasing.
Thank you so much !!!:)!!!
I want to come often !!!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I had been looking for a place that would help slim out my face. A lot of places will offer botox to strategically structure the face and make it appear leaner by adding volume elsewhere, but that wasn't what I wanted. I have swollen salivary glands, which creates the look of a double chin, and I have inherited my parents' chipmunk cheeks and lack of jawline. The bottom half of my face is just a genetic mess. With that genetic combination, even at my thinnest, my face still makes me appear heavier than I am. I didn't want to add volume, I wanted to actually minimize it and give it shape. I wasn't looking for anything dramatic -- I just wanted my face to reflect the weight I'd lost from my body. I was literally leaving an appointment from a different clinic where they had said they couldn't help me, when I walked past the sandwich board for Yaletown Wellness promoting V-line facial threading.
Melanie and her beauty advisor, Angel, are kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Melanie has had some seriously impressive training from South Korea, and I felt very safe in her hands. I had never gotten any kind of cosmetic procedure before, but after talking to them both about my exhaustive list of anxieties, I decided to go ahead and book in. I was incredibly nervous, and they did everything in their power to encourage me and ease my worries. Melanie did warn me that there wasn't anything they could do about my salivary glands (but her professional reassurance that it was not an "overweight" double chin was helpful in its own right). Desperate, I figured at least tackling the jawline as a first step would be better than nothing.
So I booked my appointment, and let me tell you, if you are not used to any kind of cosmetic procedure, this "minor" one feels like a doozy. I won't lie -- v-line facial threading hurts so, so much. I was shaking from the pain by the end of the procedure. To be fair, I don't think it hurts that much for most people. Melanie was surprised that it affected me so badly. I also apparently became far more swollen, and bled more than the average person. I left the clinic far with a bigger face than when I'd come in with, but -- with noticeably more jaw definition thanks to Melanie's skillful hands. The swelling lasted a long time for me; the worst of it was gone in a few days, but it took a few weeks for all the swelling to subside. I held off on writing this review for 6 weeks so I could take more accurate "after" photos (before/after photos now attached; top is before and bottom is after). Sorry -- I was a bozo who forgot to take proper "before" photos so the photo I used is a bit grainy.
Be aware that the recovery, however minimal the downtime, is not pleasant. Simple tasks feel more like chores for weeks: brushing your teeth, washing your face, eating, licking your lips, smiling, laughing, and sleeping (you have to sleep on your back, and if you're a stomach sleeper like me, you're in store for some difficult nights) are just a few things that were difficult for me for a while. It bummed me out I couldn't exercise for a while too, so make sure you can fit that into your schedule.
But! I write this all not to discourage anyone from getting the procedure. I just want you to walk in aware of what to expect of the procedure and your recovery, especially if you're anxious and wary of needles like me. I'm very, very happy with my results. They are subtle, not dramatic, which was exactly what I wanted. At first, because my cheeks are so unusually large, I thought the facial threading just defined my jaw, but didn't really do anything about how big my face was. However, after a few weeks, the collagen kicked in and my skin not only looked nicer, but the fat in my face actually started to slim out as well. I'm considering going back for MIC injections for my cheeks to enhance the effect. Melanie and Angel are seriously fantastic, and they delivered what they promised. If you really have been looking for a solution to help your confidence where diet and exercise can't, I recommend going to see Melanie and Angel. It's painful, but it's worth it, and if you're going to tough it out, they are the best duo you could have on your team.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

First off, I was not told that it was about photos being published. My photos had my name on them. The only ones that did. I work in a very public and volatile environment and you have made my confidentiality at risk.
Those photos were photoshopped. I would not have consented it, I was not told they would be on your Website, until I wrote this horrific review. I am not going to argue with you, It shows me that you are someone who seeks revenge. The photos were not emailed to me,although you went on the computer in your office before I left. You put them on your site the day of the review. 5 days later. This displays how unprofessional you are. Consent or not, (which I know, I did not agree to) My name and photos need to be taken off. Please no more long winded excuses.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Regarding your recent response: Why don't you telling the truth what actually happened even once and stop over-exaggerate even once in your review? we simply use reviewer's yelp user name (yours ="RITA E."). check how we response to other clients. and you view this as revenge. I had follow up with you on family day(18th), and sent picture and response on 21st(3DAYS after not 5 days you said). you INSIST didn't get email from us, so I FORWARD the same mail that I sent on 21st. please check again. Photoshop? Absolutely NOT. why don't we post of your treatment and others can decide? anyone see the photo they can't agree with more you've got dramatic results from treatment. We did have an authorized signed consent from you when you came in prior treatment time, as you did a sign for the company to use your before and after photos. We have emailed you the photos as well for your purposes. (Sorry that took "3days") We Do Not share any photos without client consent, as you per say. As you mentioned above that you did not want people knowing what you did to your face as you work in the public eye but by sharing your experience with our readers; they won't understand what treatment you've received and if there aren't any photos to prove your accusations of not getting a benefit from the treatment you wanted when you came in.
1. TREATMENT : Marionette Line + Volume Thread + Mono Thread(40)
2. RESCHEDULE: First, I understand it was of great inconvenience to have the appointment rescheduled, I was caught with the flu H1N1. Our receptionist had called a few times and the calls were not picked up so we informed you via email instead.
3. LOOSE THREAD : I first lifted well on your main concerned area (the marinate line), and afterwards, you had requested to threads to be loosened up when i insist to you to just give few days. I had voiced the concerns and precautions of it, but it was "Your wishes to be loosened up and i respected your decision to do so". In the follow-up, you had voiced your understanding of my hesitance as you've seen the result and wish the threads to be lifted up once more. Though it is a 2nd time of treatment, I DID NOT charge any materials and threads ($100) for the treatment and room. as I understood your concerns and wishes. My usual policy also includes a maximum of 2 clients for face lifting per day. BUT I wanted to help you and have you satisfied with the treatment so I was willing to do an exception.
4. THREAD COMING OUT : it's very very rare. and this results happens depending on age(older the less skin elasticity and skin statues, and after care habits (such as cautious of sleeping on the treated area) is possibilities. I acknowledge that there was a thread that came out (about 2mm), but it was "Only 1 Thread" as opposed to a bunch. For the threads, it usually takes 2-3 days for your skin cell and thread to combine, When you called of the concern, I immediately scheduled you on the same day to have a look at it as well as to cut the thread shorter and fixed within 2minutes.
5. STRETCH FOREHEAD : I believe i brought this up. The treatment was only for jaw and lower cheek area. to which "it was tightened after treatment and no loosened skin was left over." The treatment was NOT performed in forehead. Thus, it was not tightened. That's why you can stretch your forehead skin, but not on the area you've treated. If you would like to discuss this matter with me once more, I'm more than happy to speak to you about it.
6. NERVE DAMAGE & SWELLING, BRUISES: I believe it may NOT be so as nerve damage. will cause the individual to be unable to move or feel the area. yourself claim as nurse you should know. As I remember from a follow-up, the right side was swelling more(You've mentioned as "lump"). Unfortunately, for swellings, time is needed before it goes down. As for how long it will take, it depends from person to person due to the variances I had mentioned previously. This also includes bruising. Some clients have to bruise afterward, and some do not. However, along with swelling, the bruising will also fade with time.
7. OUR PHOTOS: When other clients have to bruise after treatment, we ask them to come back when the bruising goes down for the picture. but when you look at the picture closely some clients got a minor bruise and became dark spot.
8. 60$ FOLLOW UP: i was simply explaining about 1st follow up is free but after that, there will be charge as clinic policy, and I apologize somehow it offended you
9. OTHER THING: 2 days ago when you came for follow up, you mentioned about your smile line and also your cheekbone looked weird after thread lifting. and you want me "FIX IT" and perform more treatment for free. but Rita, we agreed to do fix marionette line and I can see the improvements there. The smile line and cheekbone were not part of our the scope of the treatment and you want to perform it. I can't perform treatment we've not agreed to cause you weren't happy.Feb 21, 2019Previous reviewFirst off, this has made me realize, that I have not authorized any photo of me on your site. I had asked them to be emailed. I work in the public eye and do not want people to know, what I have done to my face. If my photos are not taken down immediately, I will be contacting my lawyer. I asked them to be sent to my private email. This shows me how truly unprofessional this place is. Especially to share photos of people without their consent.
I recently had a thread lift from Melanie. I should of realized the night before they cancelled on me. Via email. Which I do not look at my emails on a Sunday night. I showed up on a Monday to be told it was cancelled. That was one day off work. When I went the following week. The one side was great. Minus the thread sticking out of my temple and the bunching of the face. The other side was droopy. Melanie talks a good talk. And tried to convince me, that I had wanted it loosened. I did at first. Then I told her I would trust her. I went back to correct it. She even knew, by looking at me, and commenting that the side she did was very swollen. I contacted the office after a few days, and was told I had to wait 2 weeks. I went to a Plastic Surgeon, who told me, that she had hit a nerve. I was very bruised and had to take time off work. I finally saw Melanie the other day. This girl can talk. She tried to convince me, that I would need more, (which I had to fix the problem of being droopy and was still not fixed. Here are the things I heard, People will say it looks different, I can stretch your forehead skin more than the side of your face. How you perceive and I see are different. I did the best I could do????($3000 dollars later.) This continued for awhile. The most unprofessional person, I have had to deal with in a long time. At the end of this, she was going to charge me $60 for having to repair the lump. I never wanted to look 20, she has ruined my face. I have to go in now to have the threads removed. I have asked her to send my before, and after photos. I have yet to see them. I can produce emails from her. I tend to wonder, if the before and after photos of others are real. Being in the nursing profession. Hard to imagine, that some of the after photos, have no bruising after having threads put in your face. If I can help one person, and have them save their money and time. I feel okay, about this. No one, should have someone tell them, they did the best they can. When you are spending money and it is your appearance.
There is two professionals out there. One is Dr Dr Zahra Mazandarini in North Van. Clearly from my disclaimer at the top of the page. It is an insult to display photos of people on a web page that was not authorized. Yet, I could not have them sent to a private email. - Tracey O.Vancouver, Canada126217103Oct 27, 2017
