Everyone in this pharmacy has been helpful, kind, and extremely competent (more than I can say for some bigger box competitors!). I've always gotten questions answered quickly and they run things quite efficiently.
I have to highly recommend the pharmacist from whom I have received my last two Covid vaccinations (and I'm sad to say I did not ask his name, but have learned through reading reviews his name is Andrew. Thank you Andrew!). He takes time to properly place the shot in your arm which can minimize soreness -- something I have never had another vaccine provider do. He throughly explains everything and I always walk away knowing a bit more than when I came in.
Thank you Andrew and team!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 1, 2021
I came to Wellspring Rx to handle a confidential matter, that I didn't want Kaiser Hospital to handle. The matter was taken care of, and I just wanted to leave a nice review and award 5-stars. Your staff are very professional, efficient, patient and caring. They answered all my questions. And days later, I feel no side effects or pain. I got everything taken care of, and I learned some things from your staff.
I would only suggest that you need more chairs in the waiting area.

Their website says they're open 9-5:30 pm on Tuesday but went there just before 5 pm and there were 5 or 6 people in the small space all staring at us as we walked in. A huge white dog was in the cramped space and jumped as we walked in. They closed early and the staff was all standing ready to leave in the entry, though their hours show they're open. We'd missed a booster appt by 20 min and wanted to see if they might be able ti fit us in. They all STARED at us and made my son and I feel super uncomfortable. The space was dirty and dark and I can't imagine code allows huge hairy dogs in pharmacies where vaccinations are done. Aren't you a medical office? Will never go back.
Funny how the angry owner blames us in his response and acts like a victim instead of addressing the issues. Pretty much sums up this place. Doesn't address closing before posted hours, the dirty medical space, giant dog, and rude treatment of customers, even children! Instead he admits they closed early and lies. Yep, he lied, cause they cancelled our 4:36 appt (what kind of lame appt time is this anyway) after 14 minutes and we cane just after that! Check out the photo proof. And we didn't show up at 5:36 liar! I most certainly don't trust getting vaccinated here, and will go to Safeway but you making even my young son feel uncomfortable is not cool. Do better.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you so much for arriving almost an hour late for your appointment We really appreciate this. Thank you so much for not calling to notify us that you were running late. We really appreciate this.Your respect for our time is truely welcome. Thank you soooo much. After 15 minutes of a no show for an appointment the appointment is cancelled AND a notice is sent to you about the cancellation. In your case we actually called you prior to cancelling the appointment. However, you chose to NOT take our call. You also did not call back. Thank you for this. When you eventually did decide to grace us with your presence we were in the process of locking up. The lights were off. All the staff were gathered at the front door. After a long and exhausting day it is a small reward for the staff to finish early so that they can recover and be ready for the next day. Your lack of awareness and consideration for the health care members that are working double time to vaccinate the masses of people is very evident. Thank you

I love the pharmacist and the staff there! I had never really paid attention to the little business until the pandemic. My neighbor recommended them for vaccinations. Theirs was the ONE website that reliably easy to book appointments on, and I was juggling making them for 3 people, myself and two daughters. The staff were all more than competent, they were also really kind, patient, and helpful with advising me about when my girls could get vaccinated. That was tricky because they were both on the thresholds of vaccination rollouts at various times like 12/13, or 15/16. They were all more than just professionally civil, they were genuinely kind, even when it looked to "a mother's eye" like they might be tired or weary. (not like snarky way.)
The pharmacist would let me go in the small vaccination area with my "big baby" 13 year old who hated shots. It gave me a chance to chat with him in addition to my own shots. I totally appreciate, and agree with, his perspective.
The small seating area, and vaccination area was clearly not designed as a "medical office", meant to be performing medical services. But it was clean enough and they did a great service to the community by operating as a vaccination site.
It looks like they are one of few compounding pharmacies left, that can customize prescriptions for people who need that done. Here in late stage capitalism, it is a miracle such places still exist. I am fed up with CVS closing stores and just firing their pharmacy staff. There are plenty of other places to get generic basics, and call themselves "drugstores." I am thinking of having all our prescriptions filled here, if they'd have us. I don't know if they are "taking new patients" so to speak.
This was one of the bright spots in the cloud of the pandemic for our family. And I would love to support a small business if I can, and get out of the giant "mousetrap game" style hell of corporate, big box drugstores whose pharmacy staff are all getting screwed over.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David N.San Francisco, CA169Nov 4, 2023
i'm bummed to be recommending a corporate chain over a local business, but if you're looking for a pharmacy with friendlier staff or more convenient hours, try one of the safeway pharmacies.

Horrible customer service !!!! Rude incompetent front desk women!!
She said that I did not have an appointment even though she was the one who put her initials on my vaccination card! Clearly incompetent.
The pharmacist in the back (older man with grey hair) was abusive yelling at me with his finger in my face! This business should be investigated by the health dept. It was dirty and had a bad smell as well. The staff are nasty and totally incompetent. What a disgusting group of people!!!!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Patty is a wonderful example of what we as healthcare professionals want and how we feel the appreciation of the services we provide. She doesn't have an appointment and blames us for it. We process her as a walk in appointment. We set her card up and call out for awareness. In less than 40 seconds she is called in for her appointment. Guess what? She is nowhere to be found!!!! The waiting area is small but no Patty. The next person is called and suddenly this frantic belligerent person is jumping in my face yelling that her name was called and she's next. She was aggressive and blatantly rude!!! After the next person was done she was called and suddenly is blaming her absence within 40 seconds on a dog that she had tied up to a lamp post outside the Pharmacy.
Come on!! We are not at the beck and call of disorganized chaotic people affecting all those around them and blaming their issues on everything else. Where is your appreciation and attention to the enormous effort and sacrifices that we make to ensure that everyone has their appointment in an orderly fashion? We are already doing our jobs and then you bring your chaotic stuff at your appointment time to affect the customers we currently serve as well as the people waiting patiently for their vaccinations. We are not here to be abused by you. It is not our fault that you bring your issues to us and make them our problems!
We bend over backwards to work with all customers but we will not be abused! - john c.Oakland, CA216Aug 7, 2022Updated review
Efficient and reliable in handing my ever increasing prescriptions. Vaccination quiuk and painless with minimal waiting even when a walk-in. Questions about medications answered clearly and in as much depth as i wished.

The prices are competitive, offering to match or beat competition as any struggling new business needs do with CVS Goliath down the street. I usually like to manage my own array of medications (don't refill until i call). it didn't take long for them to learn and they clear te way, like wit re-authorizations, so there is no delay when i do call.

I was hesitant to go because of some of the reviews, but thankfully all the staff I met were very friendly, informative, and efficient.

I had booked an appointment for a Covid booster through MyTurn.CA. When I arrived for the appointment I was told that they no longer have a contract with Kaiser Permanente and the appointment was cancelled. The clerk also said that she had left a phone message 3 days previously to inform me. No such message existed on my phone. When I returned home, I had 2 email messages notifying me of the cancellation sent minutes before

Gary it's an unfortunate thing that Kaiser cancelled all Medicare authorizations through other Pharmacys. This was cancelled without notification and without warning to us. One day it was fine and the next it was not. Our first action on the day we found out was to call each and every person that had made appointments with us that were affected. If we were unable to speak to the person directly, then we left a voicemail. At the time of cancellation, a message is also sent to the affected person. We have had no issues with any of the other people affected. They all got their voicemails, or there messages, and were able to schedule a new appointment with Kaiser. Many called us back to thank us for notifying them!! We regret that you were not able to retrieve your voicemail nor your cancellation messages before arriving at the Pharmacy

The owner and manager of the company, Andrew Beyers, is rude, aggressive and condescending. When simply asked about an available vaccination appointment, we were met with "do you want us working until midnight every night?". The level of inappropriate behavior was surprising and unnecessary. Avoid this place at all costs.

We have large posters on the front door "No walk ins" Appointments only. Go to myturn.ca.gov to make your appointment. It is so large and double posted it cannot be avoided.
Person walkins and requests a vaccination. She is told only by appointment. She then requests a pharmacist consultation. The consultation was to request a vaccination. The same answer --- by appointment only. She sits down and while I am busy working on regular prescription management she goes behind my back and requests a different staff member for a vaccination.
This is a great example of the tremendous pressure that the public is putting on pharmacy staff across the country. Pharmacys are bending over backwards doing their regular work AND to accommodate as many vaccinations as they can. Should we accommodate more because someone wants to elbow thier way in to displace all those who have made appointments? We have a limit and we request that all the public treat us with consideration and understanding.
