      Hard to find!

Cool little home-grown orchard chock full of well-cultivated Muscadine vines, a couple different varieties, weighed down with delicious muscadines. We came hunting for a "Pick your own muscadines" spot where we could pick up fruit for our homemade wine, and this was just the ticket!
FYI, cash only, just saying :)

After winding up and down, left and right, through tiny country roads, enjoying the scenery enough to make a few wrong turns, we found this little gem down a narrow dirt road that opens out (barely) to a small muscadine vineyard. We were greeted as we stepped out of our cars by Alan, who is the one-man band here!
Alan runs the business out of a pop-up canopy next to the vineyard, he's got a stash of buckets for you to use while picking, and then some cardboard flats for you to take home with whatever you get.
Keep in mind it is seasonal, open from late August through October, harvest only. Call ahead!

Alan is a really nice, helpful guy. He walked us through the process, helped us pick a little while telling us all about the vineyard, the types of muscadines, the best ways/places to pick them - and the jam. Oho, that jam! He makes homemade jam that's a nice bonus along with the fresh fruit.

Super informal, very relaxed and laid back. Heck, I'd go out just for the drive and a few muscadines!
