If you like burgers this is a good place to go. It's at the corner of the Whole Foods and I found the entrance up the stairs (around the corner of the Whole Foods entrance). They don't offer Prime specials or anything like that.
The only thing on their menu is burgers and fries. Just regular shoestring fries not sweet potato fries or curly fries or any other kind of fries. The burgers are really fresh and freshly cooked so you'll have to wait as long as it takes to cook your burger. There's a good variety of toppings. I opted for avocado and mushrooms. There's a selection of IPAA and a whole cold case of whatever drink you can imagine. Remember to pick up your silverware and napkins and condiments before you sit down as they'll bring you your burger but not any of that stuff.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Tedd G.San Francisco, CA026Feb 21, 2022
Closed, seemingly for good. It now appears to be a store room.
Workers at Whole Foods had no further info.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael S.Phoenix, AZ019Aug 21, 2022

Like others, it took us quite a while to actually locate the Tap Haus, but when we realized it was connected to whole foods we were pleasantly surprised. It was an amazingly tasty, and reasonably priced meal that we thoroughly enjoyed! $11 total for a sandwich, fries, and a local craft beer? Can't beat that! Our only complaint was that we couldn't add a credit card tip.
My boyfriend created his own burger, and said it was some of the best beef he had eaten in a while. We soon overheard the cooks telling another customer that it comes from a farm right up the road. I was craving something not quite as heavy, so I had the portabella burger. It was SO SO good. The french fries were perfectly cooked and crispy. Our TWO FREAKIN DOLLAR craft beers just made the meal perfect.

My friend and I were feeling both hungry and lazy after a busy day visiting Asheville. Since we didn't feel like dealing with the traffic and parking downtown, we looked for a restaurant close to our hotel and this was what came up, so we decided to give it a whirl.
Upon entering the plaza, we couldn't find the Tunnel Road Tap Haus for the life of us, until we realized it was built into the side of the Whole Foods (Face Palm!).
It's a small, cozy restaurant upstairs with a few tables and a nice view of the mountains, as well as a peak inside the Whole Foods store.
The menu consists of mainly burgers, sandwiches and a salad. They also offer craft beer on tap and in cans/bottles to go. The prices are quite reasonable at $8 for a sandwich with fries and $2 for most of the beers. We first enjoyed a brew while relaxing a bit and then decided to order food to go. We wanted to get something different so we tried the Vegan BBQ sammie. The service, although friendly, was incredibly slow. It took about 15 minutes to get our order prepared even though we were the only ones in there at the time. The sandwich was just okay, but I didn't love the onions or the seemingly flavorless bun.
I have mixed feelings about this place as the environment was nice and prices were good, but the sandwich left something to be desired. There's probably (definitely) better places to eat in town, FYI.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - C C.Asheville, NC0213Apr 23, 2018
Well dang.... I didn't know they served food to order up there. In a rush for a little grub on a Sunday we ended up checking it out and I was impressed. Excellent food, the price was right, great service, killer view and nice beer selection. Well done. My only complaint is that the tables were sticky... not because they weren't clean, but because the polyurethane was breaking down.
Locals that will be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Andy L.Asheville, NC59175189Nov 1, 2019
Kind of a let down. No brats or schnitzel sandwich like some of the menu pictures, it's burgers only. Not a good sign for a place called Tap HAUS!. We stood in line for a while for the lone employee to take orders on a paper ticket. Having to take orders and do all of the cooking looked like too much for one person. We were there at 12:30 for lunch, but we didn't have enough time to wait in line and wait for our food to be cooked so we left. I was hoping for a brat too :( They did have a good selection of bottled and canned beers, but it looked like about a third of the tap handles were empty.

This little beer garden-esk and eatery located on the top of whole foods on Tunnel Road is a great addition to this new grocery store.
The kitchen is small and the beer cooler a decent size the overall seating space is open area and bright
In addition This establishment has a significantly large outdoor patio area that once the weather gets warm in the mountains will be a very popular and great place to hang out and have a beer and some food.
Going to come to experiencing culinary and bring nuances of Nashville this wouldn't be the first place that comes to mind but it definitely needs to be top on your list to check out!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Michael N.Charlotte, NC28216133580Feb 2, 2015
Really cool little German eatery/cafe upstairs in Whole Foods. I'm assuming it is owned and operated by Whole Foods and not independently run/owned. Take the store entrance to the right and go up the elevator or stairs.
Plenty of long tables, an open kitchen, large beer cooler, several taps and floor to ceiling windows. Small menu with German items and a daily special.
Great place to have a cheap beer and a quick meal!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
