Let me start by saying the concept of this place is awesome. Something totally new to Green Bay. The inside of the space is very unique. Each plate at the table is different.
We were not impressed by the food however.
-The salad was very good, presented well.
-I got the gnocchi with beef and spinach. The flavor gnocchi was not good. The beef and spinach was cooked well though.
-They got the raspberry habanero chicken. The breading on the chicken had no seasoning. The raspberry habanero sauce was not flavorful. To top it off, the chicken was still raw.
We did not order dessert considering the substandard meals.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brandon W.De Pere, WI22612Aug 3, 2019
After hearing rave reviews, finally visited for the first time on Friday night and was treated to one of the best meals I've had in Green Bay. Tenet is a farm-to-table restaurant with a shared-plate concept. Main dishes, vegetables and sides are all ordered as separate plates and then shared at the table. Similar to many restaurants in Chicago, Milwaukee and MSP. Order a bunch of plates for the table and dive in!
The first page of the menu is made up of starters, vegetables, grains and pasta dishes which can be ordered as a single or double order. Our server explained that a single order is meant for two to share, while a double order feeds four. The next page of the menu is meat dishes. We did single orders and thought they were generous compared to similar shared-plate (small-plate) restaurants we've experienced in other cities.
Our group of four ordered five plates plus bread, which was plenty for us. We would skip the bread next time to make room for other dishes. The highlights were the slow-roasted pork shoulder with pinto beans and the spicy sweet and sour fried green beans. Smoked lake trout and jerked beef shank were also great. Ricotta gnocchi were just fine.
Great concept, creative menu and friendly service! Looking forward to coming back and trying the rest of the menu.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Maribeth A.Green Bay, WI30237Jul 27, 2019
Ok Green Bay! Arent we all lucky to have Chef Joe back in town! This was one of if not the best dinner we've had in town. The flavor profiles of this actual farm to table restaurant rivals anything I've experienced in Milwaukee, Chicago or Madison. This is a must try. Don't skip it! Excellent!!!

My husband and I stopped in for dinner last night and had a really lovely meal here. Walking in we were greeted and seated quickly by a friendly hostess. I love the renovations of the building and that they kept the original giant bar. Settling in we were given both drink menu's and food menu's. I ordered a Copper State Peanut Butter Porter to start off with my meal. They have a limited but really local selection of beers. We then got bread service which was the most interesting take on bread service I have ever had. When it came I thought that two pieces of bread was strange for $8 but let me tell you worth every penny. The bread was dense and rich. I loved it I could have ate like 10 pieces. I also liked the butter but not as much as the bread. I could have had a plain butter and been happy. Next we got two starters spicy lamb meatballs and sunchokes. The sunchokes were the star of this meal I loved how many different ways they were prepared on the plate. Especially that puree. The lamb meatballs had good texture but without that delightful spicy sauce they could have been a little bland. I ordered the grilled lake trout for my main and it was fishy. Which I am totally okay with I like my fish like that and the sauce was rich and creamy. The portion size compared to my husbands steak was huge. We were not a fan of the steak itself as it was pre-cut on the plate. The sauce mint/chili was really good though on the steak and we let them know about the steak being luke warm. The last thing we ordered was the custard. While I loved the custard itself there was a strange texture in there that was a little hard was not a fan of that. I still liked the dessert though.
The service was fantastic throughout and I love their little decorative plates!
Over all this restaurant is new and they have some growing pains. I was super happy that I got the discount for mentioning the farm of the week and I will be back for more small plates.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Laurie T.Palisade, CO037Jul 17, 2019
Unique, in the finest sense of the word. All locally sourced food, beer, wine and liquor, beautifully presented by well trained, knowledgeable staff.
This restaurant is a gem.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Angela Z.Hobart, WI593894Apr 10, 2019
Brand new place that opened up its a cute little place very intimate. They have everything cooked and brewed locally from their food to the beer and even their wine! They specialize in healthier meals with GF options as well. I had their Lake Trout with a habenero sauce and their mixed greens salads. Both were incredibly delicious! And to finish it off we had a blueberry custard which was the PereDe right way to end dinner. I suggest this place for a date night. Or at the end of the day if you want a good locally crafted brew.

Tenet is a newer farm to table restaurant in Green Bay that has started out strong and can hopefully maintain a great business.
The Good: The restaurant prides itself on sourcing all of its ingredients from Wisconsin and the quality definitely shows. I can't recall what I specifically ordered, and it's unfortunate because their most up to date menus do not appear on the website. I had some sort of braised lamb with fry bread and pickled vegetables and my father ordered braised beef. We also each had a bowl of rutabaga-mushroom soup as well. All of our dishes were absolutely delicious and top quality. The restaurant itself was beautifully remodeled from the previous establishment. Our server was very friendly and helpful when we had any questions with the menu.
The Bad: There were only a few lowlights to our meal. The brandy old fashioned I ordered didn't taste like anything at all. I believe it was supposed to have some kind of apple flavor, but I didn't get a taste of apple, soda, muddled orange (even though it was there), or even the flavor of brandy. For the price, it was disappointing. Due to such a big space and low insulating factors, the restaurant was fairly chilly, which in turn, affected the temperature of our meals. They weren't cold, but I imagine a lot of heat in the food was lost during plating and coming from the kitchen across the restaurant.
The Ugly: If you aren't prepared, the prices might shock you. This is a more expensive restaurant, but you are paying for the excellent quality. Our server let us know right away that most of the dishes do not come with anything on the side unless noted, which I can see a lot of people getting upset about if not warned.
As nice as the physical building itself is, the location might not be the most beneficial for the restaurant (something that can't be helped). I really want this restaurant to succeed, but I feel like it might be in the wrong area of town. It definitely has a downtown/upscale suburban feel and would have probably been better suited in a different neighborhood (I'm not an expert, just my opinion).Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Cynthia R.Appleton, WI064Aug 24, 2019
We just had lunch this noon at Tenet. It was wonderful. We would make the drive from Appleton any day. According to my husband and son the lamb pate was outstanding along with the presentation. We ordered the spicy beef sandwich, the lamb sandwich and a hamburger. We shared and all enjoyed all of them. The fries were out of this world. These were thick, which I typically don't like, but these changed my mind as the were more like potato skins. The beer selection was very good and also the old fashion list. We had an apple rhubarb tart that was to die for. It reminded my husband of the rhubarb sauce his grandmother used to make. As good as the food was, Joe and Rachael made the whole experience even that much better. Big fan of farm to table and even a bigger fan of the restaurant called Tenent. Can't wait to go back for dinner.

Tenet provides a very unique, and original, experience for the area - all local, all the time. It's a wonderful concept, in a great location, but does have some issues with execution of the menu. Their menu is intriguing, ever changing, and all local which we love, but each time we left wanting more. It's a bit strange since my wife and I both really enjoy the food, but just feel that it's lacking in that the plates are sparse for the price.
We've both tried several appetizers, soups, salads and mains and each dish is pretty sparse on the plate for the price paid, which really shows up in the large/main plates. The soups are very good, but minimal and expensive for what you get. However, I've had their brussel salad each time I've been in and it's absolutely wonderful and the one thing I will order each time I'm in.
We have enjoyed each appetizer we have tried but, again, they are minimal with not much on the plate. This theme holds for their large/main plates - wonderful flavor, but sparse plates for the price. I can't state enough that the flavors are really well done, but they need to put more in the plate- they are either lacking sauce, some starch or some veggies to round out the plates.
Overall, it's a great restaurant with a great concept that we are happy to support and I would easily recommend to any of my friends.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Monica G.Ashwaubenon, WI08316Nov 8, 2019
First time here so didn't know what to expect. I love the concept but i just wasn't satisfied for how much I paid. $70 for a pasta dish, burger and 2 drink. I still wanted more food. My pasta was good but temp was cold and nothing amazing about it for being $20. I love food and spend this kind of money often but I expected more. Fries with the burger need to be perfected better. Our service was great. There were only a few other people there ( on a Friday night) so we ate at the bar. She was great.
I'd be open to try them again for lunch but I don't think I'll be back to dinner. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
