Cake tasting was magnificent! We tried several cakes, and ended up getting 2 because we couldn't decide.
The process of choosing the cake was really easy and quick. They gave us several samples, and a book to pick from. I picked pieces from several cakes they've done in the past and showed them one I fell in love with online.
They were also super friendly and gave us coffee while we did the entire cake tasting. Safe to say, I brought the left over cakes for my mom and she loved them all. Can't wait to see the final versionHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - A g.Fairfield, CA416987Mar 29, 2024
I used to love bringing my kids here when they were younger. The "twinkie", "nutter butter" cookie and pie used to be soooooo good. I have no idea what happened but this last visit was TERRIBLE.
The staff rushes you and blankly stares at you until you make your choice.
My son got a mixed berry pie, he liked it but it was just OK.
The banana cream pie tasted like eating nothing.
I was so excited to get a twinkie because I used to love them! The cake was old, dry and tough. The filling is no longer a light, airy and fluffy filling but an overly sweet and stiff buttercream.
Key Lime pie wasn't too bad but wayyyy too much coconut. Why do we need coconut in the crust and on top of the pie, wouldn't that make it a coconut key lime pie?
Anyway, I used to recommend this place to anyone going to Napa but never again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 14, 20242 check-ins
This place is so cute and old fashioned!! I bought the only gluten free item which is a lemon bar with icing. The girls who work here seem so happy! So many fattening pies and baked goodies. It's less calories to look!

I tried this place multiple times while staying at the Napa River Inn and enjoyed each time. It shares a building with the inn which is quite historic. It was easy to get to and I loved reading about the history of the room as well.
One morning I had a delicious breakfast burrito. It was very tasty and huge. I can usually put down a very hearty breakfast and I was unable to finish it. It was so good I didn't want to give up but had to.
Another morning I had a chocolate croissant and a delicious latte. I don't think you can go wrong with either sweet or savory here - it's all good.
Each morning the girls behind the counter were very welcoming and patient as we took our time browsing the menu and the multiple dessert options displayed.
If you are looking for a great coffee or breakfast - this would be a great option!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Literally, amazing! What a fun delicious little pastry and sandwich shop! We stayed at the Napa River Inn and didn't realize until check in that they have breakfast vouchers for there. We used one every morning! And it really started the day perfectly!
The breakfast sandwiches are incredible and they have so many pastries to choose from!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

After having lunch at Hog Island Oysters in the nearby Oxbow Public Market, we stopped in at an interesting little bakery located in the Historic Napa Mill site. It's less than a mile from Oxbow Public Market.
It's a cute place. The store front is not very wide but they've made the best possible use of the space they do have. The right side of the shop are all their goods and products set out in glass display cases. These include pies, cookies, desserts, etc. On the left side are some tables for folks to have coffee, tea, soft drinks and other non alcohol refreshments.
Unfortunately, I don't know what the prices were for their various goodies. We had two individual pies but my friend bought them. The two we shared were the Apple with Seasonal Berry or Cranberry and Banana Creme with a Graham Cracker Crust. We both thought the Apple/Berry was the best of the two. It was loaded with plenty of fruit and berries and it wasn't overly sweet. It was super moist and had a really good, bright, forward flavors. The Banana Creme pie was also very good but not good enough to beat out the other pie for first place!Helpful 9Thanks 1Love this 5Oh no 0Business owner information

I had never been here but I was looking for a special cake for hubby's bday that was close to 1st street Napa where we were dining for his bday celebration with friends. I googled sweetie pies and saw they had a pistachio apricot cake I thought my hubby may like. When I called, the lady who answered and took my order was friendly. I had a friend pick up the cake and provided a pic of the receipt and we had no issues. Three stars because the cake was dry and I didn't care for the buttercream. Cake was also expensive- almost $70 for an 8 inch cake. The cake was pretty though and it was more than enough for our party of 12. Maybe I should have gone with the tres leches cake the girl recommended.

Such a cute bakery and pastry shop. They have a lot of choices of desserts. I saw that they even have a small brunch and coffee menu. My boyfriend and I tried the oreo cheesecake. It was delicious! The filling was soft and the crust was perfectly crunchy.
