Swansboro Paddle Boarding and Kayaking

The worst place you could possibly choose on a "vacation". Today we were taken out with insane winds, rip currents, and a "tour guide" that was too pre-occupied with his Instagram and Snapchat than the group. I was about 30 minutes behind the group by myself nearly the entire time. It was the most challenging trip any of us (11 of us) have ever been on. The entire trip was a struggle and most of us suffered. We wholeheartedly believe we shouldn't have been taken out that day and I think the company was more concerned with making money than our safety.

At one point my mother in law couldn't go any further and the "guide", tanner, was so far ahead that he had no clue anyone was behind and struggling. She was exhausted, worried that she'd have a heart stroke, and unable to move forward. One of us had to paddle up to let this incompetent "guide" to help her. He didn't have a tow rope, in fact, I'm not even sure what the point of him being there was.

For half of the trip the current and winds were so strong that we were paddling and still moving backwards. It was irresponsible for them to allow us to go out. When Tanner was confronted by the group he quite literally said "but I checked the internet and it said the winds were 10mph". This company DOES NOT test the water before taking a massive group of beginners. At the very least he should have found a route that wasn't AGAINST the wind and current the entire time.

If I could give them 0 stars I absolutely would. Unbelievable. Go to the place across the street instead.

We rented five double kayaks and two stand up paddle boards last week. Marc and the staff were wonderful! He helped me figure out what I needed and patiently answered all of my questions. The ladies who helped our family on both Tuesday and Thursday were kind, patient, and helpful. Our family had a fantastic time, and I highly recommend this business. We will rent here again if we return to the area.

My family and I had such a fun time here! We kayaked twice this week! We kayaked to Jones island and back. The staff were so friendly and helpful! This business is extremely dog friendly! If you have a large dog just bring a life vest they only accommodate vests for smaller dogs, but there is no pet fee so it's great! Prices are very fair and there is a 2 hour minimum on rentals, it is printed at the store. Overall a great time with family, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a little adventure! Thank you for such a great time keep it up!

My new go-to!!! I've been kayaking before in the area and decided to try this place! Storefront was clean and neat and the staff was great! Marc was personable and went over everything for us! Had a great time with their clean kayaks and life jackets! Also, this place charges by the boat and not the person! Highly recommended!!!

Friendly staff, good instructions, beautiful views and clean water. Had a really good time!

Inexpensive great family fun beginner friendly lots of safe shallower water or go explore the small islands across the waterway

Bill and Brent are amazing. They have all the top of the line equipment in which all of it has been inspected by the Coast Guard for safety. Super knowledgeable about all the equipment, and locations in the Swansboro area. You go on the water with these folks you are going to have a memorable experience and you will be itching to come back time and time again. Best Paddle Boarding and Kayaking on The Crystal Coast hands down.

Staff was fast and knowledgeable. Kayak, paddles, life jackets, and map of area with suggested routes were all provided. Parking lot is small, you may have to park in downtown Swansboro across the street.

This place was amazing. We had so much fun. The price, location, and staff were all wonderful. My mother has kayaks but for the price it's worth being able to just drop them in right there and not load it on the top of my van. I will be back soon with the whole family. Thanks Bill. And thanks for the bottled water. You deserve a double tip next time I see you.
The water was surprisingly warm. We only went ankle deep. Kayaked to an island and walked the sand bar for the 2 hours we rented. Found lots of shell creatures, fish, birds, and crabs. Lovely nature. It was a beautiful day. Cool breeze 9:30am about 60° high of 70° today. I will be back with the whole family and plan on paddle boarding next time.

equipment- clean and in excellent condition
tour- great.. but go out at high tide and you might be able to go through the marshes- we were there at low tide and not able to go though.
staff- very professional and helpful
