It's been a while since I was there, went with my mom as she was craving some good baklava so I thought Shatila would be a good choice.
They had a lot of items available so we got few of most to try and my mom also got the Ossmeliyeh with rose syrup and pistachios.
The baklava was good but not the best, I was really expecting a little more from such a known place. My mom did enjoy her Ossmeliyeh.
The service was at the verge of being rude so I was not happy about that.

They do have the best Baklava in town for sure. But they do also have the best KANAFE also. They have different kinds of deserts to try and it was delicious to try them out. I waited a long time to try this place and was happy.

They opened this second store and is not rush as the main one. This place is hard to find a little but you can find it. Service is good and the place is maintained well.

They have pre packed boxes or you can make your own boxes close to same price. And the prices are very reasonable.

I love coming here for some good baklava. The walnut variety is my favorite. They have a ton of other baked goods that I'm slowly making my way through. One thing you can't miss when you go is their pistachio ice cream. I always have to buy a quart of it to take home because it's seriously that delicious! They have beautifully decorated cakes that would be perfect for any event. Whenever I'm in the area I always make it a point to stop in and get my baklava fix!

If you can't make it to the original in Dearborn this location is a perfect compromise.
A smaller bakery but with most all of the treats you want. Petit fours, cookies, baklava, kinefeh, ice cream and coffee.
They have seating inside and out and plenty of sweets to accommodate your cravings.

Apple Maps says this location closes at 10pm, I walked in at 7:55 and the employee had an attitude & told me the second I walked in that they are closing and I said oh sorry online says you close at 10pm I didn't know and she replied "nope 8pm what do you want?" She was very rude and didn't even acknowledge the fact that the hours are wrong online! I would rather give someone else my business

I came about two months ago, in early in May. I visited on an off-peak hour I think. (So please take my review with a grain of salt.)

I like trying small businesses so that I can review them here on Yelp (and hopefully build some well-deserved hype). I was looking for a cafe to settle down and journal in, then take a call for my weekly telehealth therapy.

The bakery was empty except for a couple of people behind the counter. Great for my purposes. I tucked my things at a table at one end of the cafe, and went to the counter to order something.

I should have looked at reviews before coming here; the display counter is full of sweets (but not any lunchy foods). But they looked yummy, so I ordered a couple pieces.
1 baklava, 1...something else with pistachio. These sweets were delicious!

However, the service behind the counter was unfriendly, and when I brought the food to my table, I noticed the tabletop wasn't very clean (to speak nothing of the floor...).

I also wouldn't be able to take my call due to the volume of the music (good music, but too loud for a call).

I ended up scooting out and heading to Panera for food/lunch and a comfortable booth to be in for the hour.

Years later, it's still just as good. Come for the prepared variety boxes of baklava (my friends will pack several into suitcases to fly home to California) and other sweets. Make sure to grab a number when you arrive in order to get in line for help. There's a coffee/ice cream bar to the right when you walk in, which sells some amazing coconut ice cream. You can buy ice cream a la carte or packaged from the freezer. If you want to sit down and enjoy your dessert(s), there are plenty of tables and chairs.

I placed an online order for Mixed Mamoul (15 pieces) and Baklawa cookies (Half Tray) on October 12, 2023. I received an email with the FedEX tracking number the next day. I continued to track the shipment and according the FedEX information, the package was delivered on October 17, 2023. However, there is no package at my doorstep or within the block. I filed a complaint with FedEX and reached out to Shatila Bakery via email on the same day. I didn't receive any feedback from Shatila Bakery and contacted them on Monday, November 20, 2023, and talk to a representative that promised to contact FedEx and process a refund accordingly. I have not received any feedback nor any refund yet. I reached out again to Shatila Bakery yesterday and the representative denied receiving any notification of failure to delivery or refund request. I am deeply disappointed with the customer service and lack of prompt response.

Apparently it is a small family chain of Arabic bakery. The stuff is okay, they have arabic sweets and cakes and ice cream. They all look good but they don't taste that good. Their cake is not very sweet and kinda dry compare to other bakery.

They have a bakery in Dearborn too and people told me that Dearborn sweet is better if you are in that area
