Mark has the hands of an angel. He is very dedicated to his craft and knows how to work on a sore body from head to toe. He's very kind and has an amazing technique that leaves you feeling relaxed and energized. Mark came to my home with all the bells and whistles and didn't even complain that we had to climb stairs to get to the second floor. He truly is a gem.

I definitely agree with everyone else - Mark is AMAZING! I bought the Homerun deal as well, and wasn't expecting much going into it (since like others have said, those aren't always the best ways to find good quality service and yes, you do sometimes get treated differently).

I hadn't had any massage since my shoulder surgery a year ago. He was extremely attentive to my concerns about that area, but once he was working on that shoulder, I wasn't even paying attention to the fact that it was my bad one. He was awesome to talk to throughout the massage - I really hate it when the massage therapist doesn't talk to you at all...I know not everyone does, but I personally like talking during it. I was completely comfortable with him from the beginning, which is so important.

I honestly liked the setting - I went there in the evening, and belly dance classes were in full swing, it gave it a fun feel.

When I can afford another massage, I will definitely be going back to him. I won't even consider trying a new place.

and had to give Mark a try as I carry a lot of stress in my shoulders and was in need of a deep tissue massage! What a fantastic experience! I have never had a massage in the convenience of my own home, plus Mark did a better job than Spas I have been to around here. Not to mention, he was very professional! I can't wait to book another and I'm telling all of my friends about Mark!!!

Mark---as everyone else states---is PHENOMENAL. I've told multiple friends and coworkers about him and how wonderful he is. Not only does he do a great job, but he is also considerate of cost and scheduling. Sadly, he is currently experiencing some personal issues which have caused him to put off scheduling new appointments, but I cannot wait until he starts back up. I along with many others will be right there waiting.

I strongly advocate the health benefits of massage, and I have been getting massages on and off for over 20 years. In 2010, I found Mark Herrenbruck of Encore Massage through Angie's List. Since then, Mark has been my only massage therapist.

I have never had such relaxing, thorough, and healthful messages. On my first visit, Mark asked me to arrive 15 minutes early so that we could discuss my needs and any issues that I might have. I appreciated his thorough, professional assessment.

I am a writer/editor, so I live with frequent neck and shoulder pain from spending hours in front of a computer. Since learning about this problem during my first visit, Mark has very effectively relieved the general discomfort that I often experience--during the first visit and every subsequent visit.

Mark spends the first few minutes working on the scalp and facial muscles. That approach was initially new to me, but I found that I was immediately able to relax. And though I sometimes fall asleep during massages because I'm so tired when I arrive at the appointment, I find Mark's thorough approach energizing.

I feel fortunate to have found a highly professional, skilled, certified massage therapist. I highly recommend giving Mark Herrenbruck a try. Since his former location (Saffron Studios in Arlington) is no longer leasing space, he now makes house calls. He has great equipment, and you get all the benefits of going to a studio without leaving your home.

I highly recommend Mark for massages in the Arlington area. I called the phone number on the Saffron Studios web site and reached Mark. He was able to schedule my wife for a massage the next day. She told me that Mark gave her a very good massage, and that he was very attentive to her needs and desires. He made sure to ask if he was using the right amount of pressure, for instance. He also was very generous in extending the massage beyond the time we were purchasing.

Mark has left Saffron Studios and now makes house calls. He is working under the business title Encore Massage. The number on the Saffron Studios web site is his cell phone. In my opinion, this should not trouble you at all. This way he avoids overhead expenses and can provide a service to his clients at the most convenient location there could be. I felt comfortable having Mark in our home. He brought his bench and other equipment with him, and set up in our smallest bedroom. Mark has returned for several more visits, and I recommend him without reservation.

LOVE HIM!!!! Imagine the massage experience comes to the privacy of your own home, table, blankets, music, oils, etx! Mark is extremely professional and skilled at what he does, and if you live in VA, he is your man... less expensive than places like massage envy and way better quality of work and professionalism... !! We're crazy fans for sure...!

Mark, the massage therapist at Saffron, is absolutely amazing. After two very stressful weeks, I decided to take a long lunch on Monday and pamper myself with a much needed massage.
I had recently purchased a massage voucher from HomeRun vowing myself that this would be the last voucher I purchase since the handful of massages I received using vouchers were mediocre at best. Since the only masseuse I liked in the area so far was at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, and in since the massages at MO hotel is quite expensive, I decided I will have to resort to receiving massages at MO twice a year rather than continuing my futile efforts in finding a permanent massage therapist.
Well, I hit a home run today thanks to HomeRun. I found Mark. He met with me 15 mins prior to my appointment to discuss my needs. I have found that using vouchers such as Groupon/LS/HR, businesses sometimes discount you as second class client which I believe defeats the purpose of advertising through vouchers. But I digress. Back to Mark. He is very knowledgeable and thoroughly explained what the best course of action would be to relieve my very tense and stressed out body. He expertly massaged my scalp, jaws (Thank you! That was amazing), and continued down not missing a single spot. His pressure level was spot on. I don't remember much but I felt as if a glacier on the top of my head was slowly melting away.
Mark not only worked wonders on my body but he was kind enough to provide me a session much longer than 60 min session promised by the voucher which is absolutely stunned me. Needlessly to say, I found a permanent masseuse, and I will be back often rather than having to spend arm and a leg at MO hotel with his summer special - $70 mins for 70 massage.
One quick note - do not expect a high end spa type environment. But at his amazing talent and affordable prices, what do you have to lose?
Oh, and to top it off, I met with a friend for lunch, and she asked me if I received a facial because my face was so radiant - it's like a facial/massage combo. That is cherry on top!

I just had a 90-minute session with Mark, and it was great! I found Mark here on Yelp and was impressed with all the great reviews - and Mark was truly one of the best massage therapists I have ever encountered...and I have been going for massages for decades. Mark was very thorough regarding getting any health information that might affect the experience. I felt very comfortable with this being done in my house. Also, Mark gave me such a great discount as a first-time customer! Even his regular prices cannot be beat for this area - and again, not having to leave your house is just icing on the cake. I will definitely be contacting Mark again (and again, no doubt). :)
