Rogue is the best!  After trying a couple different programs to help me train for running distance races, Rogue has been the most impressive. They're organized and they have a group for every level for most of the major running and triathlon events going on around Austin. The coaches have been great and I have trained for 5ks, half-marathons, and marathons with the group.

I'm a Rogue, totally. I love these guys. My coaches Ginny and Leilani were wonderful and encouraging and supportive. I would have never made it across the finish line of Danskin without these women. And they were there--at the finish line (as well as the swim finish and on the hill of hell!)

I want to train with them again soon. (I'm debating the second session of the Iron Chicks program this summer...)

***
I've only been in Rogue's IronChicks Danskin program for less than a week, but so far I'm totally thrilled with it. Ask me again in ten weeks or on June 8th--to see if I make it across the finish line. However, with training and guidance from these ladies, I have no doubt I will.

The group's been inspiring and at the same time, just the kick in the ass I needed. I've also been very happy with their level of instruction and the fact that there's a place for me to fit in--from advanced swimming to medium biking to total beginning running. The spectrum of abilities is large and the coaches are patient.

I'll keep you posted. But for now--highly recommended. I'm a Rogue--and have no desire for another mediocre boot camp!

So you run around the lake a couple times a week and think you are a runner?  Not yet... If you want to get serious, or at least have someone to b***h at when the run gets long, the hills get steep, or the weather gets hot then join a running group.  I have run with a few different Rogue programs and am now finishing up their At&t marathon program - probably the largest of their groups.  In the past I always joined just to have someone to run with but this year I have realized what a great training program it really it.  I am getting ready to cut more than 20 minutes off of my marathon personal record and I attribute it all to the motivation and coaching of Rogue.  And with extra events like happy hours, singles mixers, pub runs, and a pep rally Rogue becomes more than just a running group but a great place to meet new people.

I've trained with Rogue since 2004. I'd gotten injured training for the Austin Motorola marathon in 2004 and decided to join Rogue to train for Chicago that same year. I finished with a 20 minute PR and Boston qualifier. Since then I've run Boston twice and PR'd there with a 3:01 ... not bad for somebody that ran a 3:57 for his first marathon.

In addition the the raining the coaches, facilities, variety in routes and services with Rogue are great. I'd recommend the training to my family and friend (and have) for first time runners to those looking to improve their performance.

These punks helped my fat ass get ready for the AT&T Marathon. Now I know I WILL finish. How fast? Doesn't really matter now, does it?
