I love to bowl here all the time. Super friendly and there are a lot of lanes.

Great foods to eat. Serve pitchers of soda which is good.

Orland bowl is your typical bowling alley. It's a cool place to go with family and friends, just to hang out and socialize.

They have a bar inside as well as an escape room, which is something I've never seen before. I didn't go Inside the escape room I just noticed it when I was bowling (attempting to bowl). It's literally behind the lanes and if you aren't looking for it, you'll miss it.

The drinks here are typical, no complaints.
The bartender was nice and helpful, I didn't try the food because the kitchen was closed.

Overall the experience here was ok.

A solid local bowling alley. I recently got into bowling again and find it fun to practice and get better with my technique. They have leagues here most nights so I often have to wait until after 9:30 for open bowling. They do have open bowling most nights up until like 5:30 though. There are always nightly specials with bowling multiple games after 9:30 which is fantastic. They have a restaurant/bar which is convenient. One thing I've also noticed is how well maintained the bowling alley is. The score count is almost always correct after each roll. Some alleys have issues with this but Orland Bowl doesn't. All in all I highly recommend the Orland Bowl to anybody wanting to enjoying some old fashioned pin crushing.

I visited Orland Bowl Jan 31, 2017 around 4:00pm with my two 4 yr old twin girls and their aunt. We were told by the front desk personell that open bowl ends at 5:30pm (which was OK with us, as we thought two 4 yr olds might tire of bowling within that time frame anyway). We paid for 1 game and rented shoes for the 4 of us: a total of $24. Reasonably priced my sister and I thought.

Of course we requested bumpers for our lane to accommodate our little ones. But not long after we began playing did an employee bring over one of those bowling ball "propellers", which proved very helpful. (My sister and I are old school bowlers. We learned by squatting down with the ball between your legs and rolling the ball with both hands) This apparatus SAVED my back! Demonstrating and assisting little ones in the old school bowling technique is more work than I imagined!

About 30 min into the game, everyone was thirsty. We followed the prompt on the computer board to call a waitress. No waitress ever came.

After our game ended (before 5:30pm), we readied ourselves to leave. Upon returning our rented shoes to the front counter, my girls noticed a few video arcade games. Of course they wanted to play them, which was OK with my sister and I (we planned to go out to eat after bowling and there was no time restraint). My girls were EXTREMELY disappointed to find that only 2 of the 5 video arcade games were in working order. However, my sister and I were disgusted by the terribly unclean state of all the game machines!

On a side note, my sister and I observed that promptly at 5:30pm, the bowling leagues/teams arrived and occupied every lane. Also, waitresses appeared carrying platters of pitchers of beer and cups to most lanes.

Overall, my sister, my 4 yr old girls and I had an OK time here (of our own making). We will not return to this establishment as the state of disrepair and uncleanliness of the game machines, the poor/ non-existent customer service of the waitress, and the overall feel of unwelcome for patrons arriving to participate in open bowl makes it an undesirable place in which to spend time with family.

Bowling and nothing else for kids...No waitress will come to your lane when prompted. We still made it fun though.
Don't expect anything more than bowling for kids. No waitress will come to your lane when prompted.

Racist treatment. I will NEVER step foot in this bowling establishment again in life. My family approached by employee requesting we rent bowling shoes and not wear gym shoes. His words exactly: "Nike aren't bowling shoes". He completely ignored the white guys wearing New Balance next to us.

Message to Andrew: just because minorities are employed by your establishment does not make the experience of racism not true. Slave owners employed slaves and still continued their wrath of injustice and prejudice treatments. The fact of the matter, my black family was sought out by an employee to purchase the shoe rentals even though other non-black patrons also were not wear bowling shoes (or picture attached). You can not stand behind the fact that minorities are employed by you. If you wanted to be seen as fair you should apologize for the treatment and correct the process or the behavior of unjust treatment. It is not my responsibility to point out TO YOU or ANY STAFF member of others that violate your rules. It is YOUR responsibility to seek them out just as we were sought out. Stand up on your perched desk and LOOK TO SEE if there are others as I informed your employee. Walking around in the mist of the crowd doesn't cut it!

Love Orland Bowl for many years. Great memories and friendships forged. The owners are likable, the staff is great. The lanes were always in top condition. The leagues are well run with kudos to Eddie K for running the pots. So so so sad the place is closing. It's the best bowling center BY FAR over anything within a 20 mile radius.

Came here for a camp outing. We had over 100 people and everything went so smooth. They handled a bunch of camp kids very well. They gave us a great price for bowling and pizza and drinks. They let us put our own music too. Will definitely use them in the future again.

Been a long time bowler since I was a kid and haven't been able to find any affordable places to bowl since I came to Chicago 5 years ago. This location has some great deals depending on the day that you go such as quarter games or all you can bowl. Check their website for a good description of their daily specials.

Haven't had the food here yet but the bar has a nice dart machine. Not many video games here either. The lanes are well maintained and the few times I've been here I would say the alley has lanes that are more dry than oily.

I would consider this my new home bowling alley, though I can mention to call before you show up on weekends because they may be full from league play.
