This review is long overdue and want to send a thank you to Chris and his staff. I found them online and was able to get in and drop my truck off to do a front bumper repair at a fair price. Picked it up and looks great! Thank you guys!

I had an appointment with them to take a look at my RV windows, even though they hadn't ever done this particular kind. Very helpful over the phone and seemed like they would have taken care of me. It just happened I found another establishment who was able to help me out a little sooner.
What I like best about my phone contact was that, unlike so many other mechanics there was no "oh, we don't do those"!
If I ever need service in the future I will definitely give them a shot.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Erica S.Riverside, CA01Feb 22, 2023
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would give them even worse. It's unbelievable how inefficient, rude, and unreliable this place is.
To preface this review, I would like to share what happened with my boyfriend and I. We were involved in an accident, and we were referred by the towing agency to drop it off at orange coast body so that they could give us an estimate. We were excited to hear back from them, as at first they seemed super sweet and reliable. But of course, that was a facade. The damage to the car was not as bad as they made it out to be, and they clearly just wanted to make a quick buck off of us since we are young college students who "don't know any better."
We get the call back from Ken, who is in charge of the body repairs. He tells us that the damage is worth over $11,000 and to just junk the car. We would have to pay out of pocket for this, so we clearly were not going to go through with this estimate. He calls my boyfriend, proceeds to tell him the cost, and when my boyfriend began to ask more questions Ken decided to berate him and tell him "well you should have known better." The accident itself was very traumatic for us, so for Ken to berate him and make him feel bad over the accident was unacceptable. They then proceed to let us know that if we don't pick up the car soon, they will proceed to charge us.
So, we did some digging. We found another body shop called "G & D Auto Collision," who was willing to work with us and wanted us to drop the car off to them so they could give us an estimate. We called them and sent them the estimate that OCB gave us, and they compared it with their prices which was so much more cheaper. So, we decided to go with them.
The day we came to pick up the car, Ken was present and we told him that we would just be taking it back to our apartment to scrap it for parts, as we feared that they would charge us more for towing it to a different body shop. When we told them that we would have to wait here for the tow, Ken then proceeded to tell us "why do you need to wait here," knowing full well that a tow service requires the insurance carrier to be present upon arrival. He made it very clear that he did not want us waiting around his shop if we weren't giving him his business. What's funny is that we actually did end up paying OCB over 800 dollars for the tow and for them to watch over our car.
That was the backstory of the incident.
Now, I'll go into detail regarding their prices and the way they evaluated the car repairs.
As I stated earlier, Ken told us that the damage to the car would be around 11,000 dollars. We took our vehicle to the new body shop, G & D Auto Collision, who proceeded to tell us that the total coast of repairs would be $7,800. This is the first red flag.
Ken also informed us that we would need to have a new wire harness for the car. G & D Auto Collision said our wire harness was fine. Second red flag.
Ken would proceed to tell us to junk the car, this is so that they could receive $11,000 from the junk yard without having to do any work. Third red flag.
Lastly, G & D Auto Collision informed us that the alternator wires were slightly damaged which is why the battery was drained. This means that Ken barely took a look at the car, saw that the battery was drained, and thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to increase the price and fool the college students. After all, "we don't know any better." Fourth red flag.
To say that we are supremely dissatisfied with the way that we were treated is an understatement. I would wish that they treat no other customer the way they treated us. Rebecca was very sweet, and she was trying to make us feel comfortable which I appreciate. But overall, Ken made this experience 10x worse. If you want to have your car and yourself treated fairly and respectfully, I suggest you avoid this place with all your being.Helpful 6Thanks 3Love this 2Oh no 0 - Garrett K.Pflugerville, TX02Mar 10, 2023

Don't usually leave reviews, especially negative ones, but this is a terrible busines... just a quick note to avoid dealing with them.
In spite of frequent conversations over six weeks and numerous promises I would, I never got an estimate for work on my travel trailer.
On Feb 16, 22, when I took the trailer over there for Chris to examine the vehicle, he told me he would get the estimate to me "as soon as possible." I guess I should have clarified what that meant. I called the next week and he said they had been busy, that he would get it over to the insurance company this week. My mistake was not following up for two weeks, when he told me it was done and waiting for the owners approval. Now it is two weeks after that and still no estimate. It doesn't matter anymore though.
Today, I went to another OC RV shop in the city of Orange for an estimate. They emailed it to me and the insurance company while I was on the way home.
From the other reviews, I think I'm lucky I didn't end up doing business with them.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nathan K.Riverside, CA022Mar 16, 2023
Avoid this place at all costs, they overcharge on everything. I got into a car accident on January 28th and was referred to this body shop by the towing company that transported my car. When OCAB gave me the initial estimate, it was upwards of $11,500. So instead, I decided to get estimates from different body shops in the area that gave me a much cheaper price. Even though they didn't do any work on the car, they still charged me $600 for the towing and $200 in holding costs. When I called AAA to get the towing cost reimbursed, they told me that we should have only been charged $400 for the towing. On top of all of that, the staff treated me with disrespect throughout the entire process. Avoid this place, they will scam you and not think twice about it.

Hello Nathan, we apologize that we where unable to meet your expectations on this repair. This vehicle was towed in by your tow company and we paid for the tow and payout fee from the pervious storage yard. We documented your claim and wrote the insurance company an estimate to do the repairs base on insurance standards. Unfortunately your claim was denied and you did not want to continue with the repairs with your own expense. We contacted you and advised that you needed to move the vehicle if you are not going to do any repairs. We did not charge any storage or administration fees for the week we held your vehicle which was reflected on the bill you paid. We always strive to offer the best customer service possible and will continue to improve.

So, this review is based on the customer service, the actual work done by his guys is hands-down 5 Stars.
Bottom line, if you're motivated and don't get frustrated at having to do all the follow-up, because over the course of 3 weeks, Chris called me 2x...I followed up 9 times based on the timelines he was giving me. He underestimated by bumper repair by nearly $500...thought he was ordering a painted bumper (seems kind of obvious to me if placing that order).
Again, the workmanship is amazing...wish the promised return calls from his father Ron were actually kept by Chris.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Carolyn C.Pico Rivera, CA01Feb 24, 2023

My exhaust rusted out on my car so I took it in to them. They were so helpful and fixed it right away! Took 10-15 minutes. Such a quick fix, Chris and Ken were so nice, highly recommend !

Did an okay-ish job.
The repair looks okay at first glance, but it is obvious if you inspect it closely that something has been done to it.
Communication could certainly be better. After a week, I had to call and check on my car, because nobody called me.
In addition, they did something to my bass control knob, and it no longer turns smoothly.
Overall, just a bare minimum acceptable job, and nothing more.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
